Skill or educational certificate

Skill is good and educational certificate is also good. Having any of them can actually put food on your table, but the question is which of them will you let go for the other. I mean education can get you a white collar job the same way a skill can too. For me i will let go of the skill because skill without basic education is not good at all. Because I have seen a situation whereby a guy with  good skill who got a job was unable to give quotation and he lost the job .Formal education is good for everyone.

Certificate without skills is just a piece of paper, nothing more. If you can't do a job or if you don't have the skills for the job you will be hired for, then why will anyone give you a job or keep you in a job for a long time. Organizations provide jobs to work, not to see your certificate. Certificates prove your skills, if you don't have that skill then your certificate is useless. You will have no choice but to adopt unethical ways to get a job.

But when you are a skilled person and talented. Then you will not need to chase after a job, rather the organizations will come to you with offers, fascinated by your skills. Because the organizations need skilled workers and talented people. Even having skills means you are self-reliant. You will be able to use your skills to build a personal resource or personal organization.

Both are good for everyone, as they open up greater opportunities to get the job they want. If both can be achieved, it's much better. Educational credentials are especially useful in countries where education is the basis for hiring, and the supporting skills you possess will complete the required qualifications. If the case is as you describe, it probably depends on which country you live in, because in my country, some people are even willing to leave their companies to work abroad where the salary is much higher.

The view must be more rational, where you look at the conditions and opportunities that are available so that having an educational certificate or skills is an advantage that can lead someone to achieve the desired job because not all countries may have the same view in assessing this problem.

I think  education and skill are both significant and in the modern world, skill often proves to be much more useful as it demonstrates what a particular person can do. A certificate may bring you into the room but your competence is what will sustain you there Having said that, at the same time basic education is required as it assists you in communicating correctly and dealing with professional scenarios. In my case, I would place a priority in skill but still keep education as a sustenance since when both are combined, a person is stronger in the long term.

Isn't the whole point of educational certificate is basically to get that education on that skill? I don't get it, you are telling me people out there, who get a certificate but do not have the skill. That is why it makes no sense, because it's seriously screwed up if you have no skill but the certificate of that skill.

Not saying that doesn't happen, but that should be the point of it, we should all be getting education just to learn that skill. I went to college, and I graduated from it with a skill, which I am using even today, I did improved afterwards of course, but that was my starting point. Why do people study? To just have a piece of paper and nothing more? Then you are just buying it, you do not even need to go get the education if you are not learning.
