If governments forced miners to use solar energy only, would Bitcoin become more sustainable and valuable, or would it reduce mining capacity drastically?
bruh, Bitcoin gets roasted for energy use from very begining, however nobody yells at fu*kin banks, gold miners or tech giants who burn way more power behind the scenes

. you know fu*kin banking uses 2-56×

more energy than BTC & gold mining eats nearly twice what we does. why they do not tell them to use solar energy!
In any case a mining mandate that only uses solar power is wtf policy. you know miners seek the cheapest, frequently stranded or curtailed juice, so Bitcoin's power mix already consists of 40%+ renewables, with the remaining 40% coming from a combination of gas, nuclear, hydro & wind. if you force only solar nukes power to remain operational unless you install large batteries then there is possiblity lowers hashrate & compromises security. if you ask me i will say miners are the
actual grid winners cause i even seen them to use ERCOT demand-response to save energy & always think how to minimise energy costing.. Do you want more green Bitcoin? then encourage flexibility & curtailed/stranded energy rather than imposing rules.
