Quite surprising to see people are saying they started on the right foot, I think it's rare because when we were young, we still not really able to distinguish between play for fun and play for money.

Gambling shouldn't be debatable on age since we already have age limits for gambling, let play by the rules that State that 18 years Plus which is an adult already, but then also we need to point out that being 18 didn't make you a full adult so yeah with age comes experience and with experience one can make a better choice.

Believe it or not I will usually not blame anyone for my gambling addicts and I will blame myself. I first did not have the motivation for gambling by watching gambling advertising online and I myself create a gambling account. Even though I didn't understand anything of Crypto Currency at that time, I loaded some balance in gambling in my best way to start my gambling journey. ButNow I am not addicted to the traditional gamble, but I am addicted to my wishes and refrain from myself. However, it was wrong for me to participate in curious gambling and I want to refrain from gambling now but I can't do it myself. However, since I shared my issue with my family members, I hope I will get rid of my gambling journey soon.

Honestly, I started on the wrong foot, but eventually learned to correct my ways, and so far I’m doing well and observing the best practice to be a responsible gambler.

I started on the wrong path, I would say. I started in gambling, specifically online gambling because I was attracted to profit and possible income from gambling, that was several years ago. I was not a big gambler, just a casual one, but I still dreamed with changing my life because of a hit of food luck.
I eventually found this forum and this community and I learned that I was being dumb and unaware of the true nature of the business of casinos and bookies.
Now I am back in the right way, after losing some money and only partaking on gambling for the sake of fun and sharing my experiences with others.

Maybe this is some dunning-kruger effect for me, where i think i know more then i do. But i was just reading rest of the posts because of this comment and i am getting a feeling that many of them reflect their actions well. It's not before big wins come, before people are acknowledging their wrong foot attitude coming out, and most of us don't immediately get those, so we won't be betting over our budget yet. Why would we if we aren't tempted by previous wins?

I guess majority of the gamblers started with the wrong path, with the wrong mindset towards gambling, and I’m honestly guilty about it. I entered gambling because I envy those who ended up getting rich quick, not realizing that gambling could eventually make you poorer quickly rather than getting you rich instantly.

And now, with how many years I spent gambling, I already took the right path and just gamble following my betting limits. If my budget is tight, I don’t force myself to gamble, but just gamble when there is spare money to spend. And now, it’s not that I gamble just to gain an income, although I’m still looking forward about it, but now I understand that gambling should be seen more for fun rather than a source of living.

It's obviously going to be different for every gambler, but there's one thing that's very common. During our first few trials of gambling, it's kind of like something that would work out well. That because on most casino games we find our selfs winning alot. That would make us wonder if what we heard about gambling is even true.

Well as time goes on, we begin to face reality and then have to live with it. The risk, the pain and emotions that comes with losing money in gambling. if you aren't strong enough, you would eventually loss your way. Gambling is risky and should be done with caution. Have fun, don't over think it..

I doubt many people have started with the right way, at least I have never heard of someone. Most of gambling is not really fun. Maybe some fast paced machines like slots, but they are highly addictive and I would not recommend playing things like that for fun. You may think you have things under control, only to break one day and put yourself in large debt.

I started the wrong way, but nothing too significant. I wanted to own more micro controllers and other devices, and gambling was a means which provided that. I did end up purchasing a few things. After a few losing streaks and some studies in mathematics later in my life I stopped completely though. I could play some games for fun these days, but never on my own.

I started just like you, and it is because these quick profits can really attract a person to gambling. They think everyone is getting their money very easily, so they should also start, but when they enter, they realize that they were wrong, or maybe someone told them the wrong information. The same happened to me, and then I realized how it can be profitable to them if we win that much money in less than minutes. Then I changed my way of thinking and chose the correct way of gambling, and now I am happy living a good life.

I don't remember much at the moment, but I wasn't influenced that way by my friends. My friends told me about gambling a long time ago, but I didn't get addicted to gambling at that time because I took my studies very seriously. Now sometimes I gamble once or twice a month and that is strictly a budgeted portion of my online income. I never gamble outside of that budget. However, I remember once I gambled in a village market and won 100 taka. I still gamble occasionally, but that's definitely when I'm hanging out with friends. Now that I've entered real life and work, I get together with friends during breaks to hang out and bet, and I discuss it with them before I bet.

I don't know how I started my gambling, I just notice that I became a gambler. If I want to stress my brain a little, I would say my love for football was what attracted me to gambling. When I realised that choosing who to win in the matches we do watch and argue about, can fetch me money, I had no choice than bet on the teams I believe would win. From little gambling to a consistent gambler I have become. My gambling have not been the way I target, I still have targets I have not reach. What made me to start gambling was because I wanted to make money therefore I can say I started the wrong way but eventually I understood that gambling for money is bad and I looked for other means to make that money without having to put myself under pressure. Luckily it worked for me and now I'm making money that's helping me to play games as a way of entertaining myself and not because I wanted to make money. The more you gamble for fun is the more you enjoy playing because while doing so you aren't under any amount of pressure not to lose.

My gambling journey started in 2012 when I discovered slot machines on a website I entered to place live football bets

I started on the wrong note. Some of my neighbours were making good money from gambling. When I inquired two they were wining these game, they said they had access to rigged games. Out of greed, I used an amount that I cannot afford to lose to gamble. At the end I lost the game but I kept trying.  Chasing losses and gambling for money became my style until I discovered that it was solely for entertainment. My gambling experience has been responsible now, and I now play for fun and don't chase losses anymore.

I don't enjoy to lavish my money because I don't even have enough of it and I am still very much dependent on my parents, there's nothing that would have attracted me to start a gambling journey if not to earn. I would not say it was a start from a wrong foot but it was just a gesture to start something new and see if I can write the testimonies that so people have written in regards to how they won. It is not going so bad because I win and I lose but if it was that bad, I guess I would have been forced to stop but I didn't and I am still on the responsible approach of gambling, believing I can still win like others.

The majority of us enter the world of gambling with the expectations that it is nothing more than hyped-up fun or a side hustle, however you will find very few gamblers likely 3% or 5% of gamblers make profit in the long run. The others either get ruined or give up on it. If you look deeper you would know that popup reminders and spending limits do in fact help people keep themselves in check, but only when they are utilized completely.  I was also off on the wrong foot going after wins & then learned to draw lines and make it more of a casual entertainment. Be clever & draw boundaries, man coz that is what keeps it in good shape and not ruined.

I started gambling when I was a kid, it was not initially money but toys.  I see my neighbor playing and betting with their toys and got curious.  It was called "kalog tansan" where each participant have their own "pamato" that involves a battle cap (pamato), shaking them altogether,  and throwing them in the air, the one that lands on a different face than the rest wins. So curiosity triggers me to start my gambling journey.

I can say that I started gambling in neither of the options but then later shifted to win, since in this gambling with toys, the aim is literally to win the toys of the opponent.  It goes on until I started gambling with money.  Yes, there is fun in there, but still the desire to win can't be removed.  I bet all of the gamblers here wanted to win. I don't think it was wrong, but one should implement self-discipline and bet not what they can't afford to lose.

I was a greedy gambler first. I tried all those filthy martingale strategies and their variants for a while before I noticed that they are poison. When I first learned about them they seemed so magical. All I had to do was doubling my bet in case I lose a round. How hard could that be? How many times I could lose consecutively? You'd be surprised. You'd think one could possible not lose 20 times in a row but guess what? It is way more common than you think. When I learned that the result of my current bet has nothing to do with my past bets, I had my einstein moment. I said, fuck this shit with the luck based games. I'll become a sports betting guy from now on because there is actually a chance to win there I study my shit. I still lose money though but I play to have fun anyway. I don't lose my sleep over it. Nobody should imo.

I believe we all started gambling in a very decent and responsible way but due to one reason or the other made some people to start deviating I mean not going with that same intention they were using before. Me personally I was going about it the right way when I first started but at some point I start feeling kinda Way and I think my friends was the reason behind that, because they like chasing after loses. Then I think that's the best way to go about it but after experiencing series of loses then i realized that chasing after lose is not actually good, because it will make you to lose More money.

I don't remember when I started gambling with money, but it was probably a long time ago, about 20 years ago, maybe more.
Back then, I often played cards with friends at get-togethers without risking any money, just for fun. Over time, we moved on to playing with small stakes and eventually larger stakes. It all started with winning, which made the game more enjoyable. Eventually, every time we got together, we would gamble, and I realized that without realizing it, my losses were greater than my wins. But that was only temporary because, ultimately, I kept playing in the hope of winning, and that's how it ended. When I won, I was truly happy, even though my losses were greater than my wins. Over time, I tried to reduce my gambling activity and only gamble when I felt like it, with a limited amount of money. When my money was gone, I stopped, and I also stopped as soon as I was in a winning position, regardless of the amount. And I continue to do this to this day, so I conclude that all gamblers go through those times and if they are right and realize it quickly, they end up gambling in a good and responsible way.
