Honestly, I started on the wrong foot, but eventually learned to correct my ways, and so far I’m doing well and observing the best practice to be a responsible gambler.

Is it possible for someone to start gambling without knowing that winning is not guarantee which means that there is possiblity of making losses and if there is then I don't really know what to call such person and that is a wrong thing to do as a person because they ought to have inquire about a particular thing before going into it especially gambling because it has to do with emotions, money, addiction etc.

With your definition I will say I started gambling the right way because I know about the consequences and  the risk involve but it is not only about knowing the consequences but it is about having self control because some of the people that are addict today knows the consequences and risk involve but they could not control themselves.

I started in the right way; I already know the danger that comes with going into gambling with the wrong ambition, so I did not go in with the wrong impression. I was triggered by my friend's win way back which made me feel that I can also win big if I start gambling. That was how I started gambling seriously but after a while and learning more about gambling, I realized that I cannot win the casino rather, I am going to lose more to the casino if I continue gambling on for profit.

Honestly it seems we both shared similar stories but I actually pulled out and took control of myself after I have lost severally.

I have always been a person that doesn't advocate for gambling because I never understood the reason why people are so obsessed with football not until I started paying attention to one and when I became a fan, I had the reason to bet and support my club. I started on the right foot because there was somebody that was there for me from the beginning, I never for once gamble more than what I can let go and to make it so financially constrain, I still felt hurt when I lose the smallest money as possible.

If you don't gamble more than you can afford to lose, you will never had any bad feelings about gambling. Imagine that you use $.03 to bet a game and you do it carefully, I never knew I was too low on staking power until I started to look at other gamblers, that's when I knew I was not ready. It all look funny that I was betting too little from beginning but as they said, prevention is better than sorry later, I wasn't ready for any drama of regrets and it pays me.

Mine probably started after discovering poker on places like YouTube, it's fascinating to watch the pros and see the big money competitions that they are in. After that I had a few attempts at online poker that were mostly successful but very draining after a while. It was easy to keep up the concentration for an hour or two, but once you start to hit four or five hours the appeal drops off unless you have a lot of patience. It's also highly variable with swings either way, which can really start to play with your emotions if you're not careful, going from ecstatic to depression in a few short moves can have a big effect unless you're a very stable person.

I started gambling very early when I was in high school but the lick I jave was that understand gambling very well. How about you gamble, let's say in a land base casinos for the sake of experience because you wanted to feel that's why when your cousins ask you come, you readily go with them without knowing that in the future you might fall and become addicted and then there were moments when you will go alone by yourself and almost did the walk of shame as you lost all the money in your pocket?

That's how I started gambling, and obviously throughout the years, I will admit that I once fall into gambling addiction as everything I will received my salary and some money from my side hustle, I will go immediately and play and again, it's all or nothing to me.

For online it's obvious about my crypto involvement and so it's very easy that it trickle down my land base casino experience to online gambling specially in the pandemic.

Maybe the first one lol. It was way back then started gambling from playing cards, since my family own the place where people gambles, so i did join. First i just observed, ask how the game works, how to win and lose the  later on i joined them. Money is not an issue that time since i just live and basically own the place.

Going by your opinion and definition OP, I started of in between, I started of for entertainment but with expectations of possibly winning some good amounts which was supposed to further make the fun an enjoyable one with the rewards that co.es with it.  Recently I noticed that it's been a roller coaster and that is in the sense that there comes some really good days and also some bad to but in all we manage to get ourselves entertained amidst all of the experience.

Current I wouldn't say I've been profitable enough but I think doing better gambling now that I had before where in my early days, I did suffered some losses and battled with trying to get my emotions in place but it was a really tough fight but now I'm glad it's no longer sameat the early stages.

I started the wrong way, thinking it's easy to win so I have high expectation. But the outcome is not what I expected it to be so I lose my money in snap. It take some time before I able to start playing in moderation due to greed. It's not going to be easy especially if your mindset is to gain.

As a gambler, it's really crucial to have discipline. Because if you can't discipline yourself when playing, chances are you'll exceed on your set limit and it's already late when you realize it.

Starting a gambler kind of life is something different entirely from the normal life we live, because we must have started somewhere small as being a noob before we get to know and be where we are today, I remember those days I will have to safe up to gambling from my little incentives and allowances, while some from gift items and free donations I have received from other people, then use it to gamble in the casino and then spend all to lose and win not a single game.

It must have been a very bad experience for you and you must have also passed through a lot seeing yourself losing and still coming back to save up to gamble. Maybe you were younger and don’t have plenty of responsibilities that will take up your time to not even think of gambling for a while. It is good you never got addicted and was able to control your gambling habit, it would have been another story if the addiction sets in, your finances could have dilapidated by now. For me, I started the right way - I can still recall the exact amount I first deposited into my gambling account, it was around 100 naira (in my local currency) and I managed to make it into 700, I got really really excited and kept depositing little by little, I was afraid to increase the amount because I had this thought of not being able to go back to depositing little amount once I have tasted the thrills of having a huge sum in my account, so I just went ahead with the little amount.

At some point I strayed from having fun to chasing profits, during that period I did struggle a little bit with addiction, not massive but just a little one and then I stopped gambling for up to a year and some months before I came back and now I can go months without even think of gambling and won’t feel a single thing about it, and I’m not really gambling for the profit right now, and just for fun so I think I am still on a great path and hopefully it continues like this.

Definitely wrong way according to your own definition of right and wrong though they may not be correct!
I came to see gambling attractive through social influence, seeing streamers advertising how much it's easy to win, I got interest but at the end found out it's not what it's said to be so I choice to let go and for some reason I came back with a better mindset not the gambling to hit jackpot but grow the little I have to a better position with small small odds and then latter started gambling completely.

I started gambling in the wright way because it was explained to me.about the consequences which I accepted and started so losing was not a surprise to me and I accepted my fate, I started since they was little when I decided to have fun and fortunately I won that very game which was my first game since I was always the lucky one in the family, so I was asked to play first among my siblings, as children when we were growing most times on festive seasons, we are free to have fund as we wish, and so I would always gamble because I must win which makes me feel in love with gambling as a child but whenever I lose, I see it as normal because a lot of persons often lose their games, so I will be comfortable for that day, I don't chase my loss, after trying once of twice more for that day and I lost again, I feel that luck was not on my side for that day, so I will quit, but on rear cases.
