I think it's the other way round. If you have power, you can make quick money than when you have money you can make power. How many people have money and was able to win election? You know the funniest? I think it was Louis CK that mentioned this in one of his skits, if you are rich, then they give you money to put your money in their banks for example, but if you are poor, and can't invest, and do not have certain amount entering every year, then they ask you for maintenance fee, or whatever name they prefer with the bank you work with. So you already have none, and they take yours, and put you in debt, just to give it to the rich guy.
