Ok, so this topic is just off the top of my head. It's been long being on this space talking to the OGs and the new bloods. Exploring the markets. The pumps, the blood, the gore. All the adrenaline in the world for the long climb Bitcoin has made from being worth nothing, to being worth a pizza, to being worth thousands of $$$, and hopefully millions more. So here is a hilarious take, i saw some rando post or ad on one of these financial apps about a baby bitcoin (babybtc) so oh...i go to check it out. As it turns out (as do they all) it's some rando shit on Solana blockchain! like for real? like wtf! No genuine imagination out there for these noobs? Anyways, it did get me thinking about having all that rush and excitement back on bitcoin's first day. So here comes my crazy idea, has anyone thought to kickstart the original bitcoin code again (with all the improvements not none of the old history), so kickstart genesis on bitcoin core and we can call it Bitcoin - the new age or Baby Bitcoin BABYBTC or whatever. Same code, but on the bitcoin network and let us mine blocks with our simple laptops before the big engines come in? Also, no Satoshi allocation. (And if you can include smart contracts that would be a fuck yeah! addition  ) I'll leave my thoughts at that. Just for nostalgia of it all and bring all the adrenaline bitcoin brought to us back now that we are long past that time and getting into the evening of our lives. Would be fun to re-experience that cycle one more time. Love and peace, brothers. Send me some free blocks in dm if you are brilliant/crazy enough to do it. That's a shitcoin even if it supposedly shares same codes with Bitcoin And adding a smart contract just shows you ain't creating money but a shitcoin like Ethereum. let us mine blocks with our simple laptops before the big engines come in? and what's stopping miners from using ASIC before difficulty adjustment creeps in The truth is even if it follows Bitcoin to the letter it would always remain a counterfeit, a cheap copy. Bitcoin success wasn't just the code, it was the vision and the time it was created. |

Oh, here we go again with this shit coin. A few years ago, my friend sent me a link to this project,, and I cautioned him not to make any silly mistake of investing in this project. To cut a long story short, he got trapped, till today, he has not recovered to it day. What makes OP thinks he can convince the community to look into buying this shitcoin he brought here for discussion. Anything outside bitcoin, whatever suffix or prefix being added to get it a sweet name is a scam. Npbody should make any sily mistake in buying that shitcoin otherwise they would regret their actions. |

It says there that it was inspired by the legacy of bitcoin and combines it with the meme hype lol Bitcoin's appeal is indeed huge, and I think it's only natural that there will be many projects that claim to be inspired by Bitcoin, but in reality, they are just shitcoins hoping for quick growth and will destroy the project once they make a profit, as has often happened where pump and dump have become commonplace for coins like this. We are certainly aware that this situation is inevitable, but for those of us who understand the mechanisms, especially for Bitcoin, we clearly won't be fooled by sweet talk. Adaptation, or perhaps the more polite term “inspiration,” won't be the same as the original, so stay focused on the Bitcoin you want and leave the nonsense behind in the shitcoins. |

(And if you can include smart contracts that would be a fuck yeah! addition ) With the amount of miners existing now, the period where mining is only done with laptops will only be short. The competition will still be high. I'll leave my thoughts at that. We should question first why no one has tried this yet? Not that it is too impossible but no one seems to be interested in doing something for the sake of nostalgia. A lot of people would rather have profit through hype instead. Another point is whether will it be supported? Some people will not be interested in going through a nostalgic ride. The community might be divided. |

About the thought you have, if you look into the shitcoin, aka altcoin market, you'll see that there are already some devs who have used the concept to create their coin. We have Namecoin, which debuted on April 18, 2011. It used the Bitcoin exact hash algorithm, programming language, 21 million coins, and consensus mechanism. But it is still a shitcoin. We also have Litecoin. Which was also created in 2011, but in October, it also used the Bitcoin concept (but different hash algorithm), and was once called silver to Bitcoin due to its model of operation, but in the end, its drawbacks can't be ignored. What i am trying to say is that the idea may work, and get the attention of naive crypto enthusiasts, but what you'll have at the end of the day is shitcoin, and the crypto won't be decentralized like Bitcoin. |

And the core to run. i'll attempt to mine some early blocks on my Intel haha, love the nostalgia, anon. feeling that 'what if we could start over' vibe hard. we all dream of mining with a laptop again. but here's the cold truth: you can't recreate the magic. that early, chaotic, 'worthless' phase was a one-time historical fluke. the network effect is everything. you could fork the code right now (people do, they're called 'shitcoins'), but you can't fork the 15 years of hash power, brand recognition, and 'digital gold' status. it would just be another altcoin with a bitcoin skin. the 'big engines' would come in within days, not years. the cat's out of the bag. the adrenaline now is in building on top of it - lightning, sidechains, etc. the frontier moved. but yeah, mining on a laptop... those were the days. pour one out for the CPU miners |

These coins if launched will be considered as shit altcoins, even they try to be known as Bitcoin forks. Capable founders and developers will program their own project protocol, and have onw unique codes for their blockchain. People who clone Bitcoin source code to launch their projects are uncapable and I don't trust them in ability of making and managing a quality and useful project. How many Bitcoin forks are there? |

Not all will find that idea good. It is more like a new age for shitcoin like the title said. Why would anyone created another Bitcoin with same code since it is already existed. If it's for nostalgia then it's mostly a pump and dump because no one will be interested in it for too long since they are only there for nostalgia as you have mentioned then it will be worth nothing after they are having the nostalgia. It will be the same as the other shitcoins where they only existed for a short time and gone after that.

Appreciate you doing the digging, it’s always smart to stay cautious with new tokens, especially when they ride on Bitcoin’s name. The space is full of distractions, so staying grounded in solid projects is key. That’s why I stick to Bitcoin itself, and even better, put it to use through "Bitcoin betting" Way more fun backing real games or fighters than chasing meme coins. At least you know what you're betting on! |
