First of all, I would like to thank my country and government, thank you. Because he has declared that Bitcoin is a safe asset. Because of his statement, many people in our country are now interested in investing in Bitcoin. There are many people who are not aware of Bitcoin, they may have become aware of Bitcoin. Again, there are many new people who are willing to invest but are afraid of it because they have not heard any official statement. This is a big good news for them, not only for them but for everyone. Thank you very much Nigerian government

We can expect the Nigerian government to take a good initiative on Bitcoin very soon. They have started the accelerated process of crypto licensing. The Nigerian government is taking steps to make it work faster in 2025.

Nice update 👍. At least this kind of statement from government go make more Nigerians see Bitcoin as something legit, not just scam talk. If proper licensing and regulation enter, it will help businesses and even normal people use it more freely. Let’s just hope they don’t over-regulate and spoil the whole vibe.

Before I will take our government seriously on issues relating to bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, they should lift the ban on exchanges by removing the restrictions they placed on their various websites. Incase you don't know, you cannot access any crypto exchange in Nigeria without VPN, if you don't it, give it a try. That is because our government did that intentionally. When they lift this ban, then we will see them matching their words with actions. For now, we rather operate with care and keep our bitcoin activities as private as possible.

Snip

They are just starting from the tip of an ice bank, we can't predict on what they make take next in action, but with the way they have victimized Binance and make people not to be free of identifying they are into bitcoin, couple together with the way they have failed to lift the ban on banks from the use of cryptocurrency, I hope they are also going to be more friendly with their regulations to favour all of us together.

For me, I don't believe anything that comes out from the government concerning Bitcoin, they only talk about Bitcoin, they only change temporarily because of elections or they know what their it, Bitcoin has always be a torn in their flesh, even if they are doing it at the back corner.
