The development of original IP games for casinos.

Thank you for explaining what O.P meant to the understanding of everyone about what an I.P game means, and as such, I would have also like to ask,  How will the profits be generated form these IP games? Since the majority of the IP games you suggested are all adventural games, such as Spider man, Sega that makes somehow entertaining,  and wants wants to play more, unlike casino games are are designed basically for profit maximization.

Honestly, this question should be directed to the OP, he might have more idea how everything would work. In the meantime, IP games and the original owner of the brand must have an agreement before game providers use their characters to create a casino game. If game providers do it without seeking the consent of the original owner of the characters they may be sued to court.

I think a casino would benefit a lot from this, since profits are guaranteed in P2P by charging a slight percentage to its players. It also has other factors that can make them attractive and profitable, such as sales of skin, tools, weapons, although it is an artistic and mechanical challenge to include this type of games so that it does not stray from the essence of a casino.

I think it's possible for a casino to have 100% original content that attracts and keeps its players engaged.

And regarding licenses, this is always done prior to launch. They can be temporary or permanent exclusives, depending on the developer and the contracts signed.

I think that there’s a bit of nostalgia at play with casino games. For example, Plinko has always been one of my favorites. There’s also only so many games you can play. People just want the classics and entertaining slots. I don’t think they’re looking to spend their time learning any new games to play.

I agree on this because I have a friend that only play dice and crash game until now while he don’t want to try slot games even with high multiplier payout potential.

The cost would be really high because it's related to popular brands, do you think the casinos and providers will able to earn from just listing that one game? rather than they use someone else mascot/character, better they use their own character. That's why on their logic because if their own character became popular, they will earn a lot money.

Personally, I’ve got a lot of favorite games I used to play when I was younger, before I even learned to gamble online. If those kinds of games are being adapted into casino formats, that’s pretty interesting and definitely worth knowing about.

Yeah and that's what I was actually referring to. Some games are more peculiar to a particular location or region  based on the number of people that have a liking to it and that data can be figured out using the footprint your device leaves when you visit a casino.

Actually you could think about it this way..... basically a casino isn't just selling a chance to win rather they're selling an experience too. For example, you wouldn't go to vegas just to play a generic game you could find anywhere instead You're looking for that special table or a unique bonus round and these can be gathered as statistics based on location in some cases.

I have used different casinos and I do see many customised games in some of the casinos.  Maybe this is what is being referred to by the post. I have not tried any of those games to have an opinion on the games, the profitability and how fun they can be to play. Just like the console wars a few years ago, there was complete exclusivity for some IPs, and this maintained a specific audience for each console, just like Mario and Nintendo. I wonder if this is just starting or if it was designed for online casinos.

The content creators and owners of these well known characters know that they are super valuable now - even fairly obscure shows like "The Goonies" have premium spots in casino slot games. They resonate with older players who will often have the deepest pockets and a lot of over 40-50 years olds will be fans, not least because there were far fewer TV shows back when then. Content owners have woken up to the gold mine they're sitting on and it's the same reason that companies like Disney go around snapping up all the intellectual property they can. It's unlikely that there will be perpetual or exclusive contracts any more because the creators know that casino game makers will still jump onboard with licensing arrangements.

I know of Axie Infinity through X. Yes the game have interesting characters that can be used in an online casino. However, from what I understand with what you are saying, is that gambling should be done in popular games with interesting characters.

Casinos can have original content certainly but it wont be as popular to some exclusive IPs.

Developing original IP for casino games is profitable and a wonderful experience for brand building.Its a competitive phase for some casinos,and they have to implement inputs that stand out and differentiates user experience and entertainment.An original IP builds stringer and long term sustainable growth, engagement and casino game development.

This seems new to me but it looks exciting if there is an integration of IP games for online casinos. How cool that would that be, right?
Because we're mostly a fan of these IP games then it will certainly be enjoyable if it's already there and some brands have a collaboration with a specific casino.
It might be a costly partnership but it will generate a lot of revenue and whoever gets to try it, or are there casinos that have it already? None that I know of.

It is possible, but it is harder to succeed this way. When you create original content, then you are losing all the customer base that only wants to play classic games. Besides the people who like computer games and who like to gamble are usually different. There are some people that do both but I don't think that this group is big, and that the motivations between these types of people are the same.

The casinos house would always want to have an edge against players, so their gaming features outcomes will always be auto determined randomly by the system which means players (bettors) would always rely on chances (luck) to win and not by their skillful efforts.

It would be a lot of fun though if given a chance to feature the console games as it maybe in the real world game. Perhaps the casinos can just set the game mode on "most difficult level" where it have to give even professional players tough time to win while outcome would be determined on the auto random outcome system.
This is just to give the house it edge because they would either not make the game so flexible where players skills would have advantage over the house.

But in hindsight, this can take more resources as oppose to just launching reskinned games as that would be cheaper, and it works already. Some casinos may just allot their budget on their other promotional activities. I could see bigger platforms having more chances to develop actually unique games as they're likely to have better liquidity/resources as oppose to small sized platforms. Or maybe a founder with deep pockets lol.

These exclusive game can easily be copied by different casino and modify a bit just to avoid copyright issue. Exclusivity is very hard to apply in online casino since gambler preferred the payout and bonuses rather than the game mechanics itself.

If casino offers huge bonus with easy requirements for sure it will attract many players even with the shittiest games.

Hm, that an interesting topic. Yes, consoles used to (and in a way still) compete, offering exclusive games. Nintendo still does that, but overall, we now see most games not being platform-specific, being available to users with various devices. As for casinos, I'd say it's even less about the unique experience because at least the types of the most common games are numbered, and sure, perhaps some play at this specific casino because they like this specific slot design, but I don't think that's the decisive factor. Trust, atmosphere, and customer experience seem more relevant to me when it comes to gambling.
