I'd like to remind you that I'm not affiliated with or affiliated with any of the browsers I'm recommending, but rather a user sharing my experiences with you. The browser I mentioned is Brave Browser, which is quite relevant for accessing Bitcoin because it already blocks ads and trackers and supports private connections compared to Tor, making it safer to access crypto exchanges, wallets, or forums. Furthermore, Brave has a built-in wallet that supports Bitcoin, although it's more suitable for beginners, especially for light use. However, when you need high-level privacy and large asset storage, it's still safer to use Tor Browser or a dedicated Bitcoin wallet, or even a paid version of Bold. I use the free version. The best part of the convenience I find is the automatic blocking of ads and trackers, which can sometimes be annoying while browsing. You can see it here https://brave.com/

I personally never liked Brave browser because it contradicts itself.
They talk about privacy and tracker protection and ad blocking a lot but they go ahead and add features that shows users advertisements and tracks them and they even have an anti-privacy thing through KYC (for brave reward thing which I think was BAT token or something like that). That's against their core ethos.
In addition, you should generally avoid using a hot wallet as much as you can. And if that hot wallet is through the browser then it is even riskier to use.
And finally I should mention that in my opinion since we already have a good alternative called Firefox for privacy and ad blocking, etc. I don't see any reason to use Brave.

Thank you Pancelot. I started using Brave several years ago, I knew them because of their altcoin I won't mention, because this board is not in that part of the forum. I'd like to add that there are other good privacy oriented browsers available like DuckDuckGo and, obviously, TOR. Firefox seems to still be a good alternative, too. As a suggestion, if I was you I would start a poll in this thread asking to vote for the most comfortable browser, and see what other members think. Edit: They talk about privacy and tracker protection and ad blocking a lot but they go ahead and add features that shows users advertisements and tracks them and they even have an anti-privacy thing through KYC (for brave reward thing which I think was BAT token or something like that). That's against their core ethos.
Yes, thank you pooya87, I totally agree with you: they lost me when they decided we'd conduct KYC in order to access our funds in their wallet...

It is highly advisable not to use Brave browser wallet. There are many reported open source wallets today that are noncustodial.
Also almost all the browser that I am using including Firefox are blocking ads. If you noticed that they are not blocking ads, go to their settings to enable their ad blocking.
The best browser for privacy is still Tor.

I'm not saying Brave is a bad browser, but to be honest, I'm used to using Google Chrome. And I like the syncing in Google Chrome, meaning if I install various bookmarks and extensions in one of my Chrome profiles, and later if I want to access them in another place, I don't have to install them again. Yes, Brave browser's privacy is very good, but I don't think anyone will use the built-in wallet like that. Everyone is used to using external wallets, and thinks it's safe. The ad blocking you mentioned, I don't think they provide ad blocking & tracking for free, of course they collect your data in the background. It seems like "the eater is the protector" to me.

The feedback is excellent. I do find Brave helpful because many websites often display annoying pop-up ads. Another reason I use it is that when we watch YouTube videos, Brave automatically displays ads without requiring us to use YouTube Premium. For simple things, I feel Brave is still safe and relevant. Regarding @Pooya87, I also agree with you regarding data security and its internal security cycle. The experience I've shared is probably only for simple use. Regarding coins, I only know that they exist and can be used there. Thank you also for your advice and warnings. I am very grateful.

From most of the experience I've heard from other people, they have been using Google Chrome the most as their preferred browser, though anyone can have his personal taste or desiring qualities for selecting a browser to use, but from what I have experienced in using bithe chrome and brave browser, the two have been more suitable for the use of the forum, most of the ads we do receive were coming from the site we do visit.

I personally don't like Brave! I would rather choose Firefox than Brave! But of course everyone has different choices, tastes! Can't really complain about that! To be honest, for me TOR works the best. Yeah it's a bit slow on my end because of my crap internet speed, but it gets the job done as it would in firebox, brave or chrome. As for the wallet part, it's always best if we avoided those built in wallets. I always try to minimise the uses of those in my browser. In fact I don't really use any of them through browsers extensions or anything!

Brave is like a custodial service claiming to be open source and non custodian. I've seen countless adverts concerning brave across different platforms and what came to my mind at first is you don't see someone advertising a service if they have absolutely nothing to gain from it and it's the reason real open source and noncustodial services don't run ads most times. I've never used brave and I don't think I'm going to be using it anytime soon. As for annoying ads DNS can help sometimes.

It's chromium dependency, that alone is already a red flag not just for crypto users, but anyone who surf the internet as it has trackers. And anyone forget about their automatic link autofill issue? Brave Comes Under Fire for Binance Affiliate Link Autofill. And even if the people behind are former employee or even co-founder of Mozilla/Firefox, we shouldn't trust them with their in-built Bitcoin wallet.

DNS will not be able to block all the ads, it can not block the ads that are directly on the website that you are visiting, but it can block other ads which are from different domains, although they are the most common ads. To be able to block all the ads, including the one from the site (like the ads on YouTube), you will need ad blockers like uBlock Origin. uBlock Origin is very useful in blocking all the ads. For the ads that DNS will block, go and enable the ad blocker on your browser to know if the ads are blocked. They will be blocked if you use common browsers like Opera, Firefox and some other ones. Brave browser can also block all the ads like uBlock Origin but if we are discussing about privacy, Brave browser is anti-privacy browser on its own although it can block all the ads, even the ones from sites like YouTube.

FWIW if you install uBlock origin ad blocker on your browser, it blocks a lot of ads. For youtube you can also use "mirrors" like https://inv.nadeko.net/ it is and opensource frontend that is sometimes slow but most of the times it works fine with 7 servers just showing you the videos in a very clean, ad-free, tracker-free manner.

Brave browser is a bad one. To access wallets, you don't need to use Tor and there is no restriction on accessing your non custodial wallets. Tor or not Tor in your practice, it depends on your concern of privacy. Tor browser is available for web browser and also mobile, so you can use Tor very easily if you want. Brave browser is bad because it initially claimed to be a browser for privacy but later they enforced KYC on anyone who want to claim BRAVE token. That breaks their promise and this breaks my belief in Brave browser.

Brave and DuckDuckGo began as browsers promoting themselves as privacy-conscious, but time has proven otherwise. The available options now are Tor or Firefox, and if you want to block ads, use uBlock. It's excellent and better than Brave's shields.

I have also used Brave and I agree it is a lot smoother than most of the other browsers due to the ad and tracker blocking. It can be carried at all times with a casual look and light crypto usage as well as the built in wallet makes it easy to use as a beginner. Nevertheless, I also believe that when managing bigger quantities of Bitcoin it is more appropriate to use a dedicated wallet with your personal keys. Brave does well with privacy, but Tor is even more robust should you need complete anonymity. I would say that Brave is great in everyday life but not a complete substitute of safe storage.

Well yes you are right Brave is a good browser if we want to have some privacy. I like it because we do not need to add alot of extras extensions it already does have them.
It is the browser I use the most. Even if I am not doing anything for Bitcoin I will still use it for watching videos and for doing a google search.

I would recommend Palemoon or Firefox with Ublock origin. I was using Brave earlier but there was problem with browser history - when I scrolled down the history to find some older records, it jumped back to the beginning (to the latest records) so some older history is inaccessible.
Brave is made by for-profit company and it's interests can go against user's interests sometime.
