Power is politically influenced and if you do not fall within a particular cartel of hierarchy, it will be difficult for you to be in power even as a country. Of course power is taken as a result of the fight for who is greater than the other but those who exercises more power are those who have been privilege to be in power before because they know and understand what it means to be in power and even if it cost them so much they prefer those who can listen to them to be in power so that they can enjoy continues privileges that comes along with power.

The reason why politics is referred to as a dirty game is because of the actions of the political actors, they have the greed tendency and can do whatever they can just to get the position, most of the time, politicians have designed their own way to win the election even before the elections start and to execute his plans, he will be ready to take our anything that stands on his way, so we need to avoid such political practices and allow the system to work.

This is one of the great immoralities of our time as a corruption of society. One option is that power begins with individuals and they can voluntarily delegate their power to people who they honor. This is described in the Cooperative Republic linked to in my signature. The other option is to use violence to seize other people's resources and use them to control others by force. This is all of today's forms of government, mostly focused on fascism such as in China and the USA. China blended in aspects of capitalism with their formerly communist government. The USA blended in socialism with their formerly capitalist government. And now we are approaching one world fascism where you vote for a fascist, communist, or socialist policy, but you cannot vote for a capitalist policy.

The so called "land of the free", the USA, you need the government's permission to cut someone's hair, obviously a zero risk proposition and they still won't let you do it. Why? Its very obviously for monopolistic leverage to use commercial control to increase profits through the government regulations, which is one definition of fascism. We had the technocracy of Google and other tech giants controlling social policy to attempt to make a worldwide San Francisco, though that seems to have backfired and has substantially failed in most places in the world. But rest assured, they will keep trying as Facebook, Youtube, and others continue to delete comments that are politely worded political positions that contradict the San Francisco political positions at the direction of evil censors in China, and now Europe which has never respected the freedom of speech, only the USA does that reasonably well.

But because as the OP says power is top down, not bottom up as it is stated to be, the biggest lie we are told, they cannot even have the freedom of speech in the USA for that reason. With freedom of speech, you have the right to remain silent at all times in all places. However the courts can order people to speak and put them in prison indefinitely if they don't, even in the USA.

Before you have power over others, you have to be qualified, otherwise, like less upright kid guiding more upright adults, you'll lead those above you into problems or things will deteriorate from better to worse. By the way, the leaders or presidents you see today were made leaders(or allowed to be leaders) by our CREATOR. They were given the power, which in most cases are approved by the people they lead or will lead because they seem better or more capable than they are.

The issue with Russia/Ukraine or Israel/Palestine is a problem of people rebelling or refusing to obey higher power or the more righteous ones (which usually translate to more power) who have better understanding and judgement. In this case the higher power will try to exercise his authority by force which becomes a proof to the rebels that he's actually higher in power and supposed to be obeyed or taken seriously.

I agree with this statement, however, it's interesting to notice the many different elements and details which influence someone being successful on taking power, and also preventing them from taking power.

There is a duality between what depends on you and what depends on external factors. You can wish from the bottom of your heart and to work hard towards your goal, which is to take power.

But it's not going to be enough. The contingencies of the world must also conspire on your favour. That is what some claim to be luck.

At same time, that is what prevent the most evil and sadistic men in the world to fulfill their goals, despite they putting all their skills and will towards it.

I'm not sure of what we are supposed to discuss in this thread because you've stated facts, but of course, you're right, and that's how it has been for a very long time now. It has been a common practice for some countries to show their dominance, and sometimes going as far as making others discomfortable, while justifying their own actions. The part that makes me sick is when I see them justifying a wrongful action. Honestly, it has really set a big gap between countries, and elites within a country.

At this point, nothing surprises me anymore because I know that it is never going to end. Humans will continue to search for power and some will do anything just to have it while still justifying their actions.

Power they say is not "served a la carte". Whoever needs power should be ready to fight for it, and in this fight, a lot can go south. Most of the crisis in the world as of today, is basically because of the quest to conquer opponents and get power so they can control. so a lot of times, this crisis happens not for the good of the common man on the street, but for personal aggrandizement and ego for those in the leadership position.  So if the weak,  the poor, the middle class and religious leaders wants power, they should get ready to also swim in the political dirty waters.

Power is earned by force and anyone that isn't deserving of it by taking it forcefully won't get it, even if you use your influence to take it forcefully from the poor or anyone in the society there will always be someone in the crowd that would be bold enough to stand up to you and question the way you abuse your power, so even if you power is taken there is always a rebelious person in the crowd.Some Politicians earn power through deception, corruption, lying, abuse and forcefully from weaker countries

When it comes to power either man power or political power, it's all about supremacists which only the survivals and the fittest are potential to hold that staff of honour. Everyone want the power but not everyone can get it because not everyone that posseses the characteristics nor the solid structure to beat others and claim the possession. The country you mention has what they have today because they worked for it and they deserve to get what they have. Leaders and politicians who normally say power is taken and not given often snatch power by abusing their authority, in an illegal way.

Like in most underdeveloped countries, politicians who occupy positions don't deserve them, but they obtained their positions illegally. In countries where due processes are followed, where the citizens have power, leadership is given to those who truly deserve it.

Power is a actually taken, for example, I came from a country whose electoral system is messed up, if election is being conducted in my country, there's no way, you'll be expecting the winners to be the perons the maases expect, the election must be rigged to favour who they political class want or the person that will emerge has to be very powerful to the extent that the political class won't have power to spread there wings to his or her own territory, so I am convinced that politically power ns otherwise power is taken unless we are taking about power from God, I don't what to go into the discussion relating those countries you mentioned for personal reasons.

true fact bro!! power is rarely just handed out like a piece of paper! it is something people forcely take, fight for and sometimes manipulate others to get. In the popular book the 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene he states in Law 1 that a student should never outshine the master...even those seeking power have to be strategic about how they approach it... and another one that fits here is the Law 15 which states that crush your enemy totally... in today's geopolitics!! you can clearly see that most of this things are truly applied because bigger and more developed nations will go to impose dominance on the under developed ones!! whether through military power, technology or economic leverage just like US president, Donald Trump is doing lately with his tariff war.

take for instance what is happening in Russia and Ukraine at the moment and even in Israel and Palestine it shows that power is not just about having resources alone, it is about how you use them to your favour, how you manipulate others to change perception and how you control every outcome to favour you positively...those who understand this and act strategically, always end up on top. so to your point Power is never given!! it is calculated, seized and then maintained.
