I have extensively discussed about this phenomenon calling it as the "cycle of gambling" where a gambler, regardless of the result of his game, would most likely gamble again.

To give you a concrete example, if a gambler wins then the most likely decision that they will do is to try again their luck by gambling again. Additionally if a gambler losses, they will have the tendency to recover their said losses by gambling again. This cycle continues until the gambler either (1) exhausted all of their resources; or (2) decides to STOP and accept defeat.

The reason on why this kind of mindset is particularly dangerous is due to the endless nature and cycle of their decisions. Until they decide and accept defeat, they will always be inclined to gamble again regardless of the result of their games.

It's an addictive sign if you need something to stop before you stop yourself.  I've been gambling for about 10 years and have never used any of those exclusion features. I don't bet on a daily basis, and I occasionally leave my bankroll without playing for months. I do it because I'm bored.

Yeah, when you have a recovering mindset on your previous lost, you will end up with more lost and it's continue till you get addicted.  Gambling is a risky and same time lucky game, you will not recover you lose money fast, it will come on one bet some day if you win big amount. But if you stay on the site just to gain back your lost, you will destroy your finance. In gambling if you win no one will call you an addict, that name is just for losers.

The only way out is never to involve in gambling once you're into it, you can only take Break but you can totally stop especially when it has sorted out your bills on many occasions. What you mentioned is one of the reasons why players can become addicted. However, if we think about it, recovering these losses isn't really necessary because there's no certainty. It's better to take a break and come back another day, when luck might be on your side and you win. It's great that the winnings can cover the previous losses, but the chances are slim. A gambler who is addicted is already trapped so there is no way for them but to gamble continuously.  If they lose, the chase losses, worse the do a revenge gambling where they don't care about how much they are betting.  And if they win, they chase winnings thinking that they are very lucky that moment and thinks that they can win in every bet they realized they are mistaken but still continue to bet now from chasing winnings to chasing losses, and the cycle continues.

This is a clear indication of irresponsible gambling since they already lack control over their gambling activities.

To be honest, gambling addiction has everything to do with a persons character and isn't any different from drugs like alcohol that tend to show a persons character... Absolutely right. And this theory is easily confirmed by the fact that our parents are copies of us, or rather vice versa.
That is why many doctors ask us what our parents were sick with and what they were allergic to. The same can be determined by addictions, because we inherit the structure of their bodies.
But heredity is not the most determining factor that influences the development of addiction, of course there are several of these factors: weakness of character and low desire to have different hobbies.

Exactly is not the right place to think of getting rich and stuff. It may work for others doesn’t mean it will work for all , that’s why better still is best you gamble for fun not the other way round . So best play it safe focus on the fun part and lock in on other stuff that may eventually give some good funds .
