Bangladesh vs Afghanistan

The equation for Bangladesh is complicated, especially today's message is that if Bangladesh defeats Afghanistan, then Bangladesh will move to second position in the points table. Again, if Afghanistan defeats Sri Lanka, then Afghanistan will move to second position, in which case Bangladesh will have to win by a big margin today to move ahead in net run rate. In today's match, I see that their luck has not been in their favor. They played some short overs which were good but the fielder was there and the batsmen may have played it without noticing. The wicket fell without scoring in the first over. Due to misunderstandings between the players, they had to go back after getting runs. The performance that was expected from the team was not obtained. No one could stand behind properly. However, the entire credit for this goes to the Bangladesh bowlers. They were able to defeat Afghanistan in a relatively short span of time.

I have updated the OP so please take a moment to read and follow the instructions carefully as our ACC Asia Cup competition is already entering its next round on September 20th. We will be starting our competition shortly after, and in just one week, all prizes will be awarded although the prizes are modest I believe they are still encouraging for those who participate in a fun-filled competition.

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has offered support during this challenging time, particularly @Trofo. I hope we can have a good competition that will encourage sponsors to offer better prizes in the future, especially when we host the ICC T20i World Cup 2026.

Well Late will be much better than none. I am happy that the Asia Cup 2025 competition has returned at the right time, as four top teams remain and the matches are likely to be interesting even though India is a superior team the other teams will still provide good cricket to watch. Although prizes have been reduced, it's still beneficial, because it's a free competition where everyone has an equal chance of winning, morever the hard work demonstrated by @SATWAT deserves recognition from cricket fans in that major tournament.

I also appreciate the efforts of @Whale.io and @icopress, who have done a great job on time and given us the opportunity to participate and showcase our best knowledge to win prizes, I am eagerly waiting for the next round and the start of the competition.

Last and most important game of Group B is about to start in a few minutes Sri Lanka is facing Afghanistan in a must win situation and Sri Lanka needs to avoid a heavy defeat to secure their spot in the top 4 Afghanistan has chosen to bat first which is interesting because it looks like they have made a good strategic decision.

However, this means that the chase will be challenging for Sri Lanka next big game is also set as India going to entertain Pakistan on September 21st in the Super 4 game. I will update all things later today after this match in the Games and Rounds section thread hopefully we will have a good number of participants in this competition today.

I am expecting Sri Lanka to go through into the top 4 without losing any game, and Afghanistan is likely to face an early exit  this match is going to be balanced with both teams having a chance to win.

Today's match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan is the most competitive match, because if Afghanistan wins today's match, it will have a chance to survive. Because today's match is the toughest challenge for Afghanistan, the two opening batsmen of Afghanistan are currently performing very well.
Rahmatullah Gurbaz and Sediqullah Atal, these two batsmen have scored 26 runs in two overs, their aggressive batting performance makes Afghanistan very hopeful to win. So, Sri Lnka beat Afghanistan by 6 wicket which means Sri Lanka & Bangladesh qualify for the next round.Tomorrow is the last match of league round between India and Oman with no significant valuse as India & Pakistan already qualified from that group.
One thing to notice is that Matches that are happing in Abu Dhabi , there is impact of dew in 2nd inning which is making batting easy & nullifying spinners which cost Afghanistan today as they rely more on spinners.

But in the 20th over, Mohammad Nabi played a devastating 32 runs which took the team's score to 169 runs. Afghanistan had scored 169 runs in this Asia Cup, which was enough to target and win. But unfortunately, Afghanistan could not stop even 169 runs and finally lost by 6 wickets and was eliminated from this Asia Cup. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka qualified for the second round from Group B, and India and Pakistan are likely to qualify from Group A.

Nah , we need India - Sri Lanka final atleast there will be some decent matchup. This Pakistan team is the weakest Pakistan i have ever watch , if not for Shaheen Afridi cameo in both games they would have bundel out for less than 100 against India & most probably lost against UAE.Sri Lanka on the other hand is playing really well since Jayasuriya took over as coach but i hope what happened last night doesn't affect them much

I have to be agreed with you because I am also surprised with Sri Lanka fighting spirit in last few games they are achieving good success through new generation players which is good sign for them in last game against Afghanistan they completely outclass their spinners which is amazing.

Now tomorrow Super Four is going to start with top two will be in final from here now I am expecting challenging matches between Sri Lanka vs India because both are doing good job and undefeated in last few games which will give them good confidence for fighting hard Bangladesh and Pakistan are going to face early exit as both are currently worst in batting.

Exit of Afghanistan is big shock for cricket fans because they are also on good, but they needed to be change their mindset for having better results in sports currently they are too much argent which is not favourable in sports.

This tag of 2nd best team in Asia cost them , they made so many mistake trying to live up to expectation. couldn't understand why they stuck with Karim Janat when he didn't even bowl much, should have played Gulbadin Naib.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are going to face each other in the Asia Cup today. This second round match will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Although Bangladesh had earlier lost to Sri Lanka by six wickets in the first round.
