I want to develop a chat feature for bitcointalk, would people like this?

If a live chat box would bring benefits to the forum, it would have been added by now. Keeping that aside, the irony was not missed when I was browsing your post history. I find it ironic that you would make such a recommendation or suggestion even though are someone that does not frequent in the forum that much.

I think something that could liven up bitcointalk is a chat feature, it could be like a live chat where you can continuously talk with others. Think of it like a chatroom/trollbox where you could chat with many other people at once or even one on one.

Chat is mostly useless and even harmful, hard to moderate so cryptocurrency exchanges tend to remove chat boxes like Poloniex in 2017 when I joined has a very funny chat box. I remember that how many people joined Poloniex chat box, when that exchange was a leading one in this market, for spam and even spread fud.

Moderators in that chat box use warnings, one two or three times (not sure) before using their ban hammers. It's funny for people who spread fud but it's stressful for newbies and headache for moderators. In this forum, I see no reasons to have such a chaotic chatbox.

I disagree, a live chat will clutter bitcointalk with spam and off-topic conversations. The forums strength is structured, formal discussions not informal discussions. Something that other apps can do like Discord or Telegram shouldn't be copied as using those apps makes more sense.

Every platform has its own unique feature that differentiates it from other platforms, and the Bitcointalk platform is so unique that other platforms are trying to copy what is going on here, so why deviate from the original structure on which it has built a solid legacy?

Maybe you could create a different chat app platform and make it more like anonymous or whatever you have in stock, and drop the application, and those who deem it fit can use it as long as their privacy is guaranteed, but know that the possibility of scams would be high if designed to be an anonymous chat app without moderation.

If there was chat I think this would make even more people stay on bitcointalk and take part in the discussion. If we wanted to we could even integrate some more complex chat features like discord or telegram does. What does everyone think about this? A chat feature integrated directly into the forum, we have bitcointalk so now we could bring some bitcoinchat into it 

I don't know how helpful this will be for the forum but I think if everyone is allowed to chat on the chat board, it will become completely chaotic. Everyone will come and make different reply/comments and a kind of reaction will be created with such reply/comments. Which can ruin the image of the forum in an instant. In my personal opinion, there is no need for this because if we post different types of posts, we can all participate openly there through reply posts and share our opinions. I think this is also like a chat board, so I don't think there is any need to create a new chat feature.
