Gamblers behaviors varies when it comes to staking and some could be so annoying to us while in another cases, we can also discover on how some may be this amazing in gambling with their behaviors, this shows that everyone of us has one or two reasons to why they are gambling, while its not also being made proper that we should go beyond we can condole for ourself while staking in gambling, this calls for a responsible gambling, whereby we don't do things off our limit, instead, staking and gambling accordingly and responsibly by not spending above what we earn or even close to it.

What would be your advice for such if they were to be your friends as a caring friend who want them to not get financially drained in the process?
I will advice them to be responsible. Simple as that. But you know, they might just ignore your advice since they're already addicted. It's hard to meddle with their business because they are old enough to know what's right or wrong. Losing money will certainly pissed them, so it would better if they are already the ones to realized their mistakes. Because regardless of what you say to stop them, if they are not willing, it doesn't change anything.

There are many people who gamble beyond their means, which doubles the risk of losing money. It is not right to force people addicted to gambling to change their habits quickly. Rather, calmly explain that his loved ones are moving away due to addiction and warn him about the loss of money, so that he does not think of you as his enemy, he understands that you want his well-being and want to protect him from danger. Advise him that if you have to gamble, you should play by setting time and money limits, this will increase your self-control and prevent excessive risk. If you are able to convince him that gambling is not primarily a way to earn money for entertainment or get rich quick, gambling can never be a part of life, then it is hoped that he will gradually be able to get out of the addiction. Addictive Gambling may even seem to the gambler like the right thing he is doing because he wants to make a good sum of money and take care of bills and all make ends meet for his loved ones so at that point advising them to quit will have to come with lot of respect and care for them otherwise they will not listen to you, you have to show them love and the fact that you actually do care about their wellbeing and that is why you are suggesting they quit gambling otherwise you will find it really difficult getting them to doing that which you want them to do via quitting the habit.

I often tell my friends who like to gamble or bet, don't put high bets on games that you don't master or you understandthe reason if they continues bet and force playing in a large amount of money, of course the chance of loss is very large. We often see like a slot game, which in fact they do not understand the game, but continue to place bets without conscious, It often makes them lose big, so waining what you understand and adjust your bet money with the game that you understand and not understand.

You need to choose the right time and place. I think you could try asking him first to go for a vacation until he calms down. Before starting to have a conversation about his habit and telling him that you are a bit worried. Then make him realize the mistakes he made, and maybe it can help to reduce his addiction if he realizes that gambling is for entertainment purposes.
The problem now is not even about choosing the right time to discuss this with him; is he willing to have an honest conversation about this long-standing habit? Can he, alongside with those intrusive thoughts, seamer them up? Only then can he realize his mistakes and work towards a change.. Let's get to the root of this discussion; how's it even possible to stake more than what you earn? If we're doing the math, it doesn't add up. Looks like someone is just working to pay for every game ticket, without having to pay for other bills and necessities of life?

Wahh, this is even worse how could someone gamble away a month's worth of earnings in a single game? If your friend has gone this far in gambling, then they are seriously addicted and it can be difficult to advise or give them any suggestions however, if you continue to care about your friend, then give them support to stop and don't let them go too far.

What would be your advice for such if they were to be your friends as a caring friend who want them to not get financially drained in the process?
Some people need to make certain mistakes for them to get their life back on track. He won't see the consequences of his actions if he doesn't make that mistake and become financially broke for sometime so I won't stop them. They should go ahead although I'll be right there to help them get back on track with their life after they have learnt their mistakes. If you save him before the mistake is made, he'll go back to making the same mistakes in the future. People like to learn the hard way so we should just let things happen sometimes. If he can't see all the advice about not gambling with more than you can afford to lose then he needs to learn the harsh way.

Advising gamblers who rely on gambling to abstain from gambling will never be effective because the gambler will not accept anything you say against gambling at that time. In some cases, it is seen that when you give a suggestion to a gambler, he will promise to follow your suggestion but later he will gamble as he wishes. If you ever try to give suggestions to a gambler or try to bring him back from his addiction, you must first agree with him on his issues and later if you inform him about the good and bad things, he may change his mind. Just advising him to quit gambling will never bring positive results.

What they are doing is basically an extreme level of addiction because the basic rule of gambling is that we can afford to lose what we can, so we stake here. This means that we will spend a small amount of what we earn, while your friend is spending more than what he earns. They should take a break from gambling as soon as possible, although I think they will not like anyone's suggestion, but they should be explained well and shown the amount of their loss as an example and they should be explained that gambling is for entertainment and if it is too much here, it is best to spend 5 to 10% of their income. And even then, if not, they should be shown a good psychologist to remove this addiction.

If you are not bothered about the risks in gambling, it means you can't be responsible while gambling. I think those who are not responsible gamblers are not worried about the risks in gambling; that is why they go beyond their limits. This is because there is a way in which they understand gambling. Irresponsible gamblers always have the feeling that they can always get what they want from gambling, and when you have such a mindset, you will always want to gamble more. Developing a better mindset in gambling is very important because when your mindset understands what gambling is, I think things will be done well.

Staking more than you earn in gambling is already a critical sign of irresponsible gambling, because such gambler can do and undo to any extent to ensure that they are always gambling, not only that, but keep getting things more complicated by his decision in going for what is more than his abilities, in gambling, we have to plan our way out, try to moderately stake in gambling and manage the resources we have to sustain us more for gambling and even in doing other things than staking all we earn.

Exactly, because when someone is already deep in gambling, they hardly see it as a destructive habit. In their mind, it feels like a genuine hustle, like the only way to raise quick money to pay bills or make life easier for their family. So if you try to come at them with too much criticism or judgment, they won’t hear you at all, in fact, it can even push them deeper into it. What they really need is someone that approaches them with calmness, respect, and genuine care, because they don’t want to feel like you’re just condemning them, they want to feel like you actually care about their wellbeing. I think the key is patience. You may not convince them to stop immediately, but by showing love and giving room for honest conversations, you make it easier for them to reflect on their actions.

It's hard to give advice to someone who isn't willing to listen. Your friends are probably already adults when it comes to gambling, and if they're not yet addicted, we can warn them that they're hurting themselves financially, but we have no control. This issue of spending more than you earn is bigger than just gambling; it's the main reason people are in debt.

That's true, for someone to stake or gamble off more than the amount they are earning per month, week or day is a clear signs of addiction to gambling. It's really a sign for the person to seek for help when they exhibiting such attitude in gambling because if the problem goes beyond control, they will find it difficult to become useful in life and what I mean by that is that, they can not keep or save money for useful thing, they will always spend their money on gambling.

As a friend, I naturally feel quite sorry for their gambling addiction, especially when they're risking more money than they earn. But frankly, arguing with gambling addicts is usually futile, because they rarely listen to advice. In fact, they often reject it, thinking everything is fine. So, if I were in their position, I probably wouldn't advise them too much. I'd let them learn from their own experiences, let them experience the consequences. Sometimes, only by "hitting the wall" can a person realize their mistakes, and let the universe teach them the lesson.

Not all adults can think like an adult and be responsible on their finances. There’s a lot of gambling addiction cases that prove my point that not everyone can handle good decision making especially in gambling.
Influence of gambling makes someone think not logically and follow their greed on their decisions that’s why a help from someone can help to snap out of addiction.
But if you don’t know personally the person or you don’t have deep relationships I think there’s no point on butting in.
It's not surprising that many adults make poor decisions and end up in trouble. This may be partly due to their own unstable circumstances and lack of access to funds, which leads to gambling becoming a popular option, but these individuals tend to end up with negative outcomes. For people I don't know who are addicted to gambling, I won't interfere, but I'm sure I'll have a few words in my mind.

I got really worried over the habit of some friends who are into betting or gambling and how they often stake into a game in a week more than what they earn even in a month and most time are not able to get it back in a couple of plays. So it got me really worried and concerned
What would be your advice for such if they were to be your friends as a caring friend who want them to not get financially drained in the process?
Getting involved in such life style or habits it not really a good thing at all, it's a red sign and a way of moving gradually to your doom. I know of a guy that have gone deep into gambling addiction, is not earning that much in his little job but funny enough before that little salary will come this guy has already borrowed even more than his salary just to gamble. This is his way of life for a very long time and family and friends has try talking him out of such life style but is just not working. For the fact that gambling has been a part of life activity we shouldn't let it be a problem to us, we should be sensitive enough to know when calling it a day and try not exceeding our daily limits.

Yeah, most gambling addict are in denial phase. They won't admit they are addicted to gambling even though their action are obvious. It would be annoying to them if we abruptly told them that they have to fix their way of gambling because it looks like they are addicted. This will cause a gap between friends, and worst a conflict. So we should think twice before giving an unsolicited advice. I think the daughter know that his father is addicted to gambling but somehow I feel that she does not know how to react on his father's addiction, but we cannot tell her what to do or give any suggestion if she does not solicit for our advice.

I had (and I have) a similar issue with one close friend of mine. Even if he is, literally broken, he is still wagering and gambling even asking for loans. There are some "huge" wins, that cover some expenses and then again, gambling like there was no future I think that self-moderation has been something useful. This lead to gambling limits, I would say even some "financial responibility". I would not see any other further improvement. Quit gambling is impossible (much more easier to quit smoking...) Using crypto is always see as an huge risk (but somehow could helps to have limits in my opinion). Well, the only solution is to let people realize things by themself. This is the only explanation I get on my life.

Just plain and simple - if they are your close friends, you can always tell them the repercussions of what they are doing to their hard-earned money. If they won't listen to you, then, whatever the aftermath of their actions, they should accept it. If they start borrowing money from you, you should be firm of not lending them the money. Because if they will see that they can borrow money from others, they will surely continue their vice. You need to set your boundaries as well being their friend. Not all the time you can lend them money, but you can always lend your ears and assist them in deciding what's best for their money.
Yeah, that's so true. People will change when there's money involved. As long as they keep winning everyone is happy, but the moment that they start losing they will start blaming everyone around them except themselves. That's how many people are, and it's best to avoid them, really.
