He was fatally shot while speaking at a university event in Utah.

Regardless of what you think about Charlie Kirk and  his opinions as a conservative, it is categorically unacceptable to use violence to express your disagreement.

We have reached a dangerous point where some people believe that people they don't like should be gracefully and violently silenced.

Thoughts and prayers for his family, especially for wife and children who must be going through unimaginable grief.

I spent over 5 hours going through some of his videos. Charlie Kirk is a great guy and I'm not saying this because he is late now. But the truth is, several of his debate made lots of sense.

"CHRIST IS KING" he always wanted everyone to come to God. Most individuals he has debated about Christianity concluded that Charlie believe in Christianity supremacy. Meaning, Christianity should be a general religion for every to accept. 

On a debate with a Jewish lady on social media, he acknowledged he supports Trump for sending $3 billion in aid  to Israel to fund their attack on Iran. He said "I actually support more than that".

If you have not noticed, most debaters leave with anger and hate in their mind at the end of the day. What could possibly be the reason why the hired assasin killed him.

1. Was it because he was an ally to Trump
2. Was it because of his support for the Iran bombing. The part of Christian Zionist project
3. He kicks against gay relationship and lesbianism.
4. Religion supremacy.
5. Support for human right, including fetus in the stomach of a woman.

In conclusion, this is a man I loved. His brilliancy and voice has been silent. And I pray the killer be found and get the judgement he deserves.

Israel did it. Israel believes in the same God as Charlie Kirk... the God of the Bible. The difference is that they don' believe that Jesus was/is the Messiah promised of old. They think that the Messiah hasn't come yet. Charlie believed that Jesus was/is the Messiah.

I'm not from US and I don't know him either but the news of his death appeared in my news feeds on almost all my socials. Coming across this post here again made me to make a quick check about him. I read about his biography and what he believes, I also watched the video where he was killed yesterday.

Our society is no longer different from animals kingdom since we can not express our opinions and differences using diplomatic means. It's inhuman to eliminate a fellow human over political or whatever differences. You can silent them but you can not change what they believe in. It's shameful and embarrassing.

Glad his family were also at that venue but were spared. I sincerely sympathise with them during this difficult time.

It's sad, very sad. We should be able to live in a world where people are free to hold their own opinions and be safe as long as that opinion is not a crime. I disagree with a lot of Charlie's views, but there is no way his death can be justified.

As much as I hate the fact that he was murdered in cold blood, his views were extreme. Look at the word in bold "Christianity supremacy". This is a cool thing to say until a person says "Islamic Supremacy", then we start shouting "terrorist group. This is the same view the crusaders had. This is the problem with being extreme: it's not consistent and is hypocritical. You have the right to religion; that right does not extend to forcing people to follow your religion.

There are a whole lot of views Charlie has that I disagree with, and there are a few I agree with, like "there are only two genders"

What could possibly be the reason why the hired assasin killed him.

He was not the only Trump supporter. I doubt if he was even the loudest Trump supporter, but if that is a reason why he was murdered then we are in a worst place than I thought.

If he really supported human rights, then he would allow people to sleep with whatever gender they want to sleep with as long as they're not minors and it's consensual. A human rights activist should allow people to believe in whatever religion they want to believe in as long as they're not against the law.
This leads back to what I said about being extreme. It's inconsistent and hypocritical. When you're extreme, you'll just pick and choose what to believe when it suits you.

It's so sad that we live in a world where people only see things from their POV. If we try to have discussions with people and see things from their POV, we will have a better world, not a world where people get scared to get cancelled by stating their views or worse, get murdered for it.

My condolences to the family of charlie Kirk, as they go through this difficult moment of losing him in the most wicked manner. The world is going crazy, people are no longer safe, you need to constantly be security conscious and always watch your back. Nobody is exempted, a politician is not safe because they have a lot of enemies that don't agree with them and the ordinary person is not safe because they can be robbed and killed. Taking another person's life for whatever reasons is very wicked, as you don't like somebody is the same way somebody else don't like you. Terrible news, he leaves behind a wife & two daughters. I wish we were allowed to have opposing political views without hatred, bile & vitriol spilling into it. Somebody may have different views & opinions but they do not deserve to be shot & killed. I see that the FBI have offered a financial reward for information on the shooter. Bill Ackman has added to it too. Let’s hope he is found & meets the full force of the law.

It kind of painful that Charlie Kirk have to pass away in such manner, he is just 31 year old who lost his life while speaking to students. The fact is whether people agreed with kirk not his impactaction on life will live on despite the fact that he has passed. Powerful people who don't like your POV would want you silenced in whatever ways possible lest your courage might attract a huge follower ship that would align with their political ambitions. This assassination is a carefully thought out plan which the organizers of that event aren't totally ruled out of the planning of his assassination.

Only a slim majority of people believe in the freedom of speech, even in the United States of America. Charlie Kirk was speaking out against violence the moment he was murdered. The person who murdered him was profoundly in opposition to the freedom of speech, and killed Charlie Kirk for his speech.

Morals, ethics, and principles are not really something people put a lot of time into, but they have a social duty and obligation to do so.

There is a lot of violence and killings in the news that originate from the pro trans (transsexual) movement. They want to kill their opponents at times. Its quite counter-productive. They often also want other people forced to call them specific names, another aspect of the violation of our right to free expression. Names are a negotiation, not a legal mandate, in a civil society.

News has it that a suspect to the savage shooting of Charlie Kirk has been apprehended and in FBI custody. The FBI in the meantime is yet to make a press conference statement to the public about who the shooter is, and the delay is not unusual cause investigation is still ongoing at the moment.

 I'm hoping this is true. My prayer is that the real perpetrator be caught and made to face justice for his savagery.

The sad news of Charlie Kirk's death as been flying everywhere on social media and it is indeed heartbreaking to see what mankind has turned into all in the name of politics, control and power, I'm not from the US and I know know whom Charlie Kirk was until his horrible end. He doesn't deserve to die like that and I wished I didn't watch that video because it was kept me in a sad mood since it happened, from the things he was saying in the video you could see that he was a true politician that stood up against violence and now he is gone leaving behind a young widow and kids. I see from the news that the person that murdered him has been apprehended and will face a death penalty.

It was very sad hearing about the departure of Charlie Kirk's, although I don't know him that much since am not from the US, but from the few things I have known and heard about him I believe his a nice person, and if I may ask what is this world turning into? There are many places where there is freedom, where you never get shot for what you like to listen to. Or whoever you want to listen to, he is free. He has never been shot, nor will he be in the future. With the recent killings, church shootings, school shootings in Colorado, safety is never enough. Not enough motivation to go somewhere safe.

The world is not a perfect place. But we have to try to make it a perfect place. Mutual cooperation is desirable.

What happened I think is absolutely unacceptable. The fact that political differences are now leading to this level of violence is frightening. One mans "extreme" is another man's moderate. Isn't labeling someone extreme just an ad hominem attack? I find "centrist" and "moderate" positions to be extreme because they most often have no principled morals or ethics involved, and are rather purely based on pragmatics. Having no principles could surely be extreme, but if you look at the people labeled most centrist or moderate, they actually are just blowing in the wind without any principles.

So, given how easy it was for me to see how self-described "moderates" are extremists, I could very easily re-frame any political position as extreme by looking at the edge cases on their philosophy. Regardless of someone's philosophy, they will have weak points that seem "extreme". Christian supremacy simply means they believe their religion to be much better than others, or that Jesus lived a perfect life as a model for others to strive for. That is an opinion, that is not extremism. Wanting a partial theocracy is only considered extreme in a certain context for someone who isn't a part of that religion. Of course Kirk seemed to have very little interest in many aspects of theocracy given his respect for trans lives and the freedom of speech. But, even if he did, whether or not a theocracy is extreme in a more objective way completely depends on the underlying religion.

Jesus was generally a pacifist (ref. turn the other cheek), which could certainly be defined as extreme, but certainly not in a way that is going to lead to violence, or lead to non-Christians being forced into a Christian lifestyle. So, even more "objective" extremism on a scale of pacifism to dictatorship doesn't mean extremely bad.

Yes, this is not just happening in the US and this is not the first time. Murder to silence or assassinate opponents is something that can be said to happen frequently in politics in any country.

While I also oppose the use of violence in politics, honestly, their purging each other is not something we need to worry about or condemn. Because that’s how politics works, politicians are well aware of and clearly understand the risks they face. But they still decided to participate, they accepted the trade-off for power.

In my opinion, what we should condemn more strongly is that politicians should stop taking advantage of their own people (the innocent) and using them as scapegoats to achieve political goals.

Every ideology, extreme or not, has its principles. Ideologies are based on something. Islamic terrorists base their ideology on something; they have principles. The Nazis based their ideology on something; they had principles. The Crusaders based their ideology on something; they have principles. I can go all day and point out the principles of every extreme ideology. So the fact that an ideology has principles does not make it extreme.

We can't all agree on an idea; that is why we have the Constitution, and the Constitution says to respect people's human rights. At any point where an idea does not respect the rights of others, irrespective of their gender, religion, skin colour, or political views, then that ideology is leaning towards extremism.
Let's take homosexualism, for example. It may be immoral to others, but people need to have consensual sex with whom they want.
In some religions, it is immoral for women to do certain things that men do, but men and women need to have equal rights.
The moment your idea or view does not respect human rights, there is a very big chance it's extreme.

What are you talking about? This was rather a political assassination being carried about because the guy who shot Kirk was pretty much indoctrinated with ideas which were contrary to what Kirk was spreading around in universities and campuses around the United States, that is pretty much it.
I thought for once you were going to say what was happening in reality and point out this was what it actually was... But anyways.
