I think many of us here would have had the same experience and felt the same emotions.
Over the years, I have seen bitcoin pump and dump quite a few times and now it feels like bitcoin is here to stay for long.
Thus, investing in bitcoin will definitely be a good choice over a long term since the price is bound to increase due to the rising inflation.
Why to get concerned with the short term fluctuations when you reap the long term benefits without any worry.

Bitcoin over the years has proved that it's best investment for long term i.e. at least for 5 years or more. If you have made up your mind to invest in Bitcoin for long term then it's important to not worry about short term fluctuations to remain stress free. I am investing for long term and my target price is 200k, I am not much worried about current dip rather I think it's good opportunity to buy more Bitcoin. If somebody has set high target price like 200k or more then he must patiently wait for that price because Bitcoin has a history of going up with time. Anyone can get profit from Bitcoin, provided he can invest and has the patience to wait for long term.

Solid advice. I'd just add that newbies should also be free to ignore like 99% of the "strategies" shouted on social media. DYOR doesn't mean trying every altcoin shilled at you. Adapting means learning to filter noise, which is a strategy itself.

I agree.

When you feel FOMO, chances are, you need to think twice before acting up on it.

Or better yet three times Grin

This happens to almost all investors at the beginning of their investment journey. Over time, when you get used to the market and gain experience with market movements, the volatility of the thunder will not seem like such a big deal.

When we see something new, we express a little more interest and pay more attention to that thing. But over time, when it becomes old, it does not seem special to us. The Bitcoin market is the same, by involving ourselves in something new, we start to feel special and keep observing it again and again, but over time we get bored.

I went through a very similar shift.

In the early years, price movements felt important because Bitcoin itself still felt uncertain. Every drop or pump seemed like it carried meaning beyond just numbers. Over time, that feeling faded.
What really changed things for me was realizing that Bitcoin didn’t need my constant attention anymore. Once it became part of a routine rather than something I reacted to emotionally, volatility stopped feeling urgent.
At that point, Bitcoin started to feel less like something I was “watching” and more like something quietly existing in the background of life. Not exciting every day, but steady enough to be taken seriously.

You are not extraordinary case, and you are becoming one of long term investors who start as worried traders and end up as calm holders. Fact that you are not scared by small price drops anymore means that you have become emotionally mature and have replaced fear with patience. Taking Bitcoin as long term habit and not way to get rich quick is smarter game to play and will help build real wealth over time. You are right that Bitcoin is here to stay, since it is no longer weird experiment but part of global financial system that large companies use. Similarly to how internet became everyday part of life, Bitcoin is now entering stage of being handy tool in background. This move from obsession to routine is most healthy way to use this technology since it allows you to enjoy benefits of its growth without worry of checking prices on daily basis.

With different purposes and points of view, as investment or trading, people will have different strategies and actions in the market with their fund. They will also have different risk management that starts with how they manage their finance generally.

With trading, in the volatile and unpredictable market, it's hard to stay calmed and unaffected by market volatility, news from good news to fud news, and your actions will be highly volatile like the market.

With investment, if you start with good financial and risk management, your mind is calm, and your mindset will be for long term so that you will less likely be affected by news, fuds, and short term volatility either upward or downward.

History has shown that the process is always the same, even though there are small differences. But it’s only a matter of sooner or later. We have understood this condition; it seems to have become a recurring cycle that we rely on. Hopefully, this will always happen, and with the development of this industry, I do not expect any changes regarding instability, whether before or after halving. I understand this in detail because I have been following Bitcoin for almost more than 10 years. I hope the unstable market never disappears, because recently many large-funded companies have entered crypto, and this worries me that the cycle may change and I won’t be able to profit.

I can relate to this a lot. In the beginning every move feels emotional, you stare at charts all day and react to every dip or pump. After a few cycles you realize that stress doesn’t really change the outcome.

For me Bitcoin also became more like a background thing over time. I still follow what’s happening, but price action doesn’t control my mood anymore. The longer you’re in, the more boring it gets — and that’s probably a good sign.

At some point you stop thinking in short-term gains and start thinking in years. That shift alone makes holding much easier.
