Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?

If you place bets every day, your brain might get too used to it even if it is just a small amount but betting less frequently but with bigger amounts of money may lead you to be emotionally attached to that money and may feel extremely happy to win and extremely disappointed to lose.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?

Gambling everyday will turn you into an addicted gambler, avoid doing this because you will become a distraction for your real life purpose, you should focus on making money and saving up some money for investment.

To have better winning chances in gambling you need to avoid gambling every single day, you are been monitored as a gambler, those machines and games you see online are wired somehow to monitor your gambling strategy.

Gambling once in a year with a large amount of money doesn't cut it for me either, unless you have a tip about the game where there is higher chance of winning, still I don't recommend using a very large amount of money because you can still lose it all.

I don't believe addiction is limited to how much or when one bets. It has more to do with a lack of control. Someone who bets small amounts daily and consistently demonstrates control and discipline. Similarly, someone who bets only twice a year, even if the amount is larger, also demonstrates control over their budget.

Period!, self control is what makes it possible for people to fight against gambling addiction and also stay through to responsible gambling behavior. For someone to be determine that they won't be addicted to gambling, no matter the gambling patterns they person chose to use, they will not be addicted unless they have lose that ability to control their habits.

Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?
How many active gambler will agree to gamble once a year? as long as the season is up and running, most active gambler must gamble at least twice a month and that makes up nothing less than 20 times of active gambling per year. even with that, it is still a moderate way to gambling as it is certain that someone that gambles that amount of times per year can never turn out to become addicted to gambling.

The easiest rout to becoming an addicted gambler is when you do it almost everyday and can not leave comfortably without thinking about it. daily gambling is a wrong gambling approach but assuming that a gambling can just do it once or twice a year raises the question, when will the gambling take as the convenient time to gamble and what is the certainty that at other times, the urge to gamble will not come?

Placing small bets daily and gambling big amounts once or twice a year can both create different forms of addiction the first one builds habit the second one builds emotional attachment. Daily betting is more dangerous in terms of routine because it normalizes gambling as part of everyday life small losses don’t feel painful but over time they accumulate and the brain gets used to the constant dopamine hits from playing win or lose this is how a long term behavioral addiction forms.

Occasional high-stakes betting on the other hand might not be as habit-forming in frequency but the emotional highs and lows from risking a huge sum can create powerful memories these highs and lows can fuel the urge to chase that rush again which can quickly spiral into binge-style gambling. Which one is more addicting depends on personality daily gamblers often struggle with compulsion while big-stake occasional gamblers struggle with emotional swings both paths are risky but consistent everyday gambling usually drags people into a deeper cycle because it erodes control slowly without them noticing.

Yeah, well, the keyword there was active, really...

No active gambler will only gamble once a year.

That's the main thing, if you think about it. If you are active, you do it frequently.

Being addicted means out of control to the money you are gambling. The frequency of gambling usually has high chance of being addicted compared to few bet per year.

I believe if someone just bet very rare regardless of the amount I think you will not be addicted to gambling and in fact you might not be tempted to bet any further as years passes by especially if you are not winning anything.

It’s always the frequent gambling makes it more addictive.

I think both can affect a gambler mostly betting with a huge amount, although betting frequent is wrong and no gambler should engage in betting for that long probably he or she might become an addict. Op mentioned emotions which I agree obviously betting always without a win can also get a person emotional not minding the amount used.
Every gambler must at least set a betting goal involving the amount more especially the days appropriate for gambling, not everyone is free probably due to work so gambling everyday is impossible for a fact people who gamble always are likely to get addicted faster, personally betting on weekends is more common and usual due to weekends games.

This isn't a real question. It's well known that frequency is the key factor for any kind of addiction. Nobody can be addicted to anything for doing it only once or twice a year. Not to mention that by being a gambler, it's almost impossible to put only 2 bets per year, no matter the amount.

However, the total losses for these two different players can be completely identical, because a player who plays twice a year is playing for huge stakes and can take out loans, as well as borrow money from friends and acquaintances. Generally speaking, it's individual, but I'd be concerned if I felt my urge to gamble was sometimes too strong. I've long since passed that stage and made plenty of mistakes, so I don't have that same urge to gamble. I've generally started betting very rarely and only on events I like, while choosing excellent odds. And if I don't like them, I'll simply pass on the bet, because tomorrow might be something new and more interesting. Incidentally, I'd recommend many people watch interviews with addicted gamblers to compare themselves to them and see if you're similar and if you recognize yourself in their actions.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?
If we look at the possibility of addiction, I believe that more frequent gambling activities allow gamblers to become addicted more than those who only bet a few times. The amount bet might not play a significant role, as the situation will depend on the gambler's ability.
However, everything should also be viewed from the gambler's own goals, as there are indeed those who gamble small amounts but more often because they may want to seek enjoyment from the exhausting routine of work.

Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?

This isn't a real question. It's well known that frequency is the key factor for any kind of addiction. Nobody can be addicted to anything for doing it only once or twice a year. Not to mention that by being a gambler, it's almost impossible to put only 2 bets per year, no matter the amount.

Yes, you don't build a habit overnight, and I also think that betting every day is way more dangerous to develop an addiction than doing it just a few times, regardless of how big the bet is.

But again, this is not a real question, because you'll hardly be considered an addict if you almost never gamble. So, by definition, gambling once a year doesn't fit with being an addict.

Of course, many gamblers become addicted to gambling because they gamble frequently, especially those without other activities or jobs. Compared to gamblers with activities or jobs, they have to prioritize more important responsibilities or things, and they gamble as a form of entertainment when tired or to fill free time after being stressed by work priorities.
Gamblers who gamble frequently are more likely to become addicted because it becomes an unavoidable habit. While this depends on the gambler's ability, most gamblers become addicted because they gamble frequently.

Yes, it's certainly true, as if the desire to see the outcome is a thrilling uncertainty, and the player wants to know whether they've succeeded. I think the player should limit this desire, because if they can't, the game gradually takes over. Furthermore, certain addictions, like alcohol and the like, can make things even worse. It's important to pay close attention to these things, because if we don't properly monitor these things, we can easily reach a critical point from which it will be extremely difficult to recover.

No matter how you gamble, it can be addictive if you can't control it well, but gambling every day, even in small amounts, tends to be more addictive than gambling once a year in large amounts --- it's possible to forget about it.

But for me, this is an unrealistic comparison where someone gambles, say, once a year specifically in large amounts this is somewhat less likely to happen than betting every day because it is very possible.

Yeah, well, the keyword there was active, really...

No active gambler will only gamble once a year.

That's the main thing, if you think about it. If you are active, you do it frequently.
I would not place too much emphasis on key words, most people who write in this section have terrible English skills.

Being addicted means out of control to the money you are gambling. The frequency of gambling usually has high chance of being addicted compared to few bet per year.
Addiction comes in different levels of severity. Most addicts refuse to admit that they are addicted to something because they have not reach the level of dick sucking for some street crack.  Cheesy This is a problem of education and ego.

It’s always the frequent gambling makes it more addictive.
Definitely. Nobody is going to get addicted to this just because they go to a casino once per year during their vacation.

If you’re used to betting everyday using small amount, that means there are chances of you getting addicted unless you have a strict risk management that your employing and you don’t spend above what’s in your budget daily for every game you play. Addiction comes in when you can’t do without your loss, chasing after your loss even when you’ve hit threshold for the day or week. But gambling everyday does not necessarily mean you’re addicted to it, it could just be your passion and you feel okay playing it daily.

Betting with huge some of money doesn’t guarantee you win, but when you win, you’ll hit a big jackpot from it. If you can’t lose such huge amount of money when gambling, it is better to limit how much you spend on gambling even though you gamble once in a year. Being emotionally attached to the game you’re playing because you’ve risked too much can push you to make risky decisions can result into loss.

Someone can easily get addicted if they continue to repeat it every day whether it's gambling with a small amount of money or not. What someone practices every day is what the body can easily adapt to. Most people who do not gamble often are hardly ever addicted. I know many people who are big gamblers meaning they gamble with large amounts of money but they are not addicted simply because they don't gamble frequently. They always gamble at their convenience, and they don't see gambling as a way of making money. Even me once the money I budget for gambling is finished, I just stop gambling for that month. Sometimes, if I want to gamble, I use all the money I budgeted at once.

For you to get addicted to something it must be done repeatedly or constantly....it's becomes more addicting when you gamble everyday...There are people that gamble once in a while but whenever they do that they always stake high although this isn't safe and it can cause damages but it's not that same as gambling daily...people who can stay without gambling for up to a year are not categorized as addicts

When you are gambling everyday you will always make you addicted and always difficult to leave even you don't have money you will try anything possible to locate funds to gamble. People that gamble in small in a year they can't be addicted because they don't value it and anything that you didn't value will not be repeating everyday. But I can says People that gamble once a year and stake huge money is higher risk then people that used small funds to risk. Because people that stake small can probably make them win one day then others that stake small a year. We just need to know funds for gambling because even you are not addicted doesn't mean you won't lose because is all risk you just know how to control your self and don't let gamble control you, because people that addicted in gamble as turn like there source and they can't stop staking even they are losing.

Realistically and logically speaking there’s no one that will get addicted for doing something including betting every 6 months or twice a year because the effect of gambling that will make you addicted will immensely stop after the day you bet assuming that the time table on when will someone gamble based on the premise of this thread will be fixed.

Regardless of the amount involved. Always the daily gambler is prone to gambling addiction. Even if someone playing only small amount can still be subjected to addiction!
