I will avoid the high amounts, I tell you guys that I am almost betting everyday with not a lot of money but it doesn't make me addicted. But with higher amount, I'll feel bad if I do that few times and makes me a sore loser that I'll have hard time in recovering. So, I'll choose the more yet small amounts because I know how to deal with such losses and it won't make my day worse than losing few times with big amount that it will definitely create me nightmares and won't able to make me sleep at night. So, we have preferences and can choose our own styles of betting.

I understand you. but even little bets can be addictive, as compared to big bets with occasional frequency. The routine of making bets or nearly daily, makes a habit. and with time. these can entrap you to the point of not noticing. Smaller losses are easier to cope with. but can add up and keep you busy longer. Conversely. larger bets will be more damaging. but will also have you looking more wary. Ultimately. addiction is not about how much but how frequently and emotionally committed you are to gambling.

You're right, not one can skip that possibility that they can also become addicted with small bets. But it's all about us on how we're aware that small/big bets can influence us to become addicted. As for me, I won't be affected by how small my bets are and I'll continue to do it and it won't make me addicted. In the part of it being addictive, we can control it and it's our choice if we let ourselves become addicted.

If you only bet what you can afford to lose, you won't become addicted because you won't regret it or worry about winning it back. But if you bet large amounts, every loss will be painful, and you won't be able to accept it easily. You'll struggle to win it back, and if you don't win it back, you won't be able to accept it easily either. The most important thing is to not let gambling affect your emotions or your financial situation, otherwise it could develop into something more serious.

Betting twice yearly with higher amount is not addiction, but betting everyday with small amount is the real definition of addiction, anything that takes control of you is addiction, so addiction is a worst thing to happen to anyone , I don’t think I will go for any of the two listed above , because gambling twice yearly , I don’t know if I will refer to it as entertainment which is not in actual sense , it’s better if I gamble once monthly than twice yearly.

Yes, that is what I am doing and that's why I am confident that I won't fall into addiction. It is not so much that I bet with and if I lose, I won't be chasing it although it's also disappointing to have those losing streaks that happens in a week and I admit that I don't feel good when I experience it. Somehow, I'm trying to redeem myself by at least winning some amount from that streak and there were times I am losing more. I am not clean but, I am at least aware of the consequence if I won't be in control.

You made a good point, a lot of gamblers think they are safe from addiction if they place small bets everyday but in the long run you are going to get addicted and also lose a significant amount of money accumulatively overtime. This is why the best way to avoid gambling addiction is by setting a time limit.

Addiction comes in when you gamble everyday. When you gamble everyday with small stake, this can also amount to significant amount on the long run, and I consider this to more addictive and harmful to and individual.
As a daily gambler, you hardly make out time to do other things, your time is mostly tied to gambling even as you incure losses and suffer addiction.
On the other side, someone who doesn't gamble everyday will have enough time to work, and make money for himself, and family. In this case, he makes himself available to whatever he wants to do, he is not addicted to gambling, and might likely gamble with the amount he can afford to loose

Which can be more addicting between the two: placing small bets every day or gambling only once or twice a year but doing so with huge amounts of money?

If you place bets every day, your brain might get too used to it even if it is just a small amount but betting less frequently but with bigger amounts of money may lead you to be emotionally attached to that money and may feel extremely happy to win and extremely disappointed to lose.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?

Every day betting is the reason why some people developed addiction. So as a result of that, frequently gamble with small money can cause addiction especially if you're not having a good day to win. As well as gamble occasionally with huge amount of money if you're not rich and bold enough to ignore the money you put can cause persistence retry which can also lead to addiction. So advisably for a person that is not rich enough should gamble with small money even if it's going to be once a while, can reduce big loss and the chances of addiction.

In addition, for a person to be free gambling addiction always take your time and have knowledge of the game you are playing and start with small amount of money when betting.

So what do you think gets someone more addicted?
Of course, betting a small amount of money every day is more addictive because it will make your brain focus on a specific task every day, so if you develop this habit for a long time, it will become a kind of intense addiction for you. But if you bet a huge amount of money once or twice a year, then of course if you lose, you will be temporarily upset or if you win, it will also be a reason for temporary happiness for you. If you suddenly bet once a year, it is less likely to become an addiction for you, but if you bet even a little every day, then there is a strong possibility that you will become an addicted gambler.

The amount you bet with is not what will lead you into addiction. From what I understand over the years, it is how often you gamble that causes addiction. The time you prepare for gambling is what causes addiction. In other to avoid gambling addiction you dont only need to set a time limit. You will also need to set a limit to your bankroll. Once you reach your limit, quit depositing any money and leave the casino.

You made a good point, a lot of gamblers think they are safe from addiction if they place small bets everyday but in the long run you are going to get addicted and also lose a significant amount of money accumulatively overtime. This is why the best way to avoid gambling addiction is by setting a time limit.

I concur with most of the things presented here. Addiction is not necessarily detailed as the amount of money bet. but rather the regularity and the emotional involvement. Betting even just a few dollars every day may not seem much to worry about but in the long run. it creates a habit that is difficult to quit and can slip away your bank account unnoticed. Conversely. bigger stakes lead to greater emotional responses. which can also make one engage in risky actions. And both the fashions have their hazards. The trick is discipline to establish hard boundaries of time and money to follow them through to the letter.

Of course, betting a small amount of money every day is more addictive because it will make your brain focus on a specific task every day, so if you develop this habit for a long time, it will become a kind of intense addiction for you. But if you bet a huge amount of money once or twice a year, then of course if you lose, you will be temporarily upset or if you win, it will also be a reason for temporary happiness for you. If you suddenly bet once a year, it is less likely to become an addiction for you, but if you bet even a little every day, then there is a strong possibility that you will become an addicted gambler.

No, when you place one big bet that is not even comfortable for you financially, once you lose, emotions will come instantly… and you will start thinking about revenging and pursuing the money you lost… That mindset can push you into making more wrong decisions..

So it is not just about how often you bet, the size of the bet and how it affects you mentally does matters a lot too..
But yeah, I get your point… gambling small small every day can still build into a habit and lead to addiction.. We just have to find a way to balance things…

Depending on the initial purpose of gambling and how much allocation is provided for gambling, if it exceeds the set limit it will be a warning.
Whether you want to gamble little by little or place a big bet in one game or a bet that matters not crossing the line.

As you say, we just need to find a pattern or balance to determine what kind of habits are suitable for gambling, not just about how much to bet.
If you have found the right pattern, it will be a habit that will not cross the predetermined limit.

If you gamble regularly with small amounts of money, that is, with small bets, there is a greater chance of addiction, but if you gamble with a large amount of money once or twice a year, there is a greater chance of loss. In both cases, there is a greater chance of loss than gain because regular gambling will eventually turn into an addiction and this is a type of loss. On the other hand, gambling twice a year is also risky. Since gambling is a long term trap, it is only logical to play it for entertainment.

Actually I think it should not be played every day, it cannot be made continuous and regular, play 2 to 3 days a week, only when you need entertainment, and otherwise if you do not need entertainment then stay away from it is better. But it cannot be taken as a part of our daily work or a duty. If we have such a view then it starts to be more harmful for us. We have to control ourselves in some way, just setting a time limit is not enough, along with this setting financial limits and being aware of our own behavior are also very important.

That's not a benchmark, The reason why you don't feel the impact of addiction because of small bets is that you don't really feel the repetition when your bets don't get results because the amount used to bet is small so even if you lose then you don't feel any impact in the short term but when it continues to be done intensely then if you check the history it is certain that regret and a sense of loss will remain because for bettors with small amounts actually in the short term when they lose they will not be too affected because the amount they bet doesn't seem to matter much but the longer it goes on, it is certain that it gets bigger and this is like a time bomb.

Intensity needs to be maintained because even if we bet small it does not make you free from addiction. So regardless of how big or small the bet we do, limits and responsibility are important here.

Betting with a smaller amount doesn't make a gambler to be free from gambling addiction. Infact being addicted to gambling has nothing to do with the amount that is being used to gamble because it is possible for someone that has being gambling with a small amount to be addicted to gambling same is also applicable to those that gamble with big amounts.
It is good to always gamble with what we can afford to lose as this won't affect us the way it will when we are to gamble with an amount we can actually afford to lose.

Every day betting is the reason why some people developed addiction. So as a result of that, frequently gamble with small money can cause addiction especially if you're not having a good day to win.
Yes, I agree with this. In fact, I've witnessed construction workers always betting on parlays, and they do it every single day. They don't spend much money, but they do it almost daily. I don't know if they like betting, feeling the adrenaline rush, or if they really want to win. But if I don't know much about sports, I don't bet, yet they bet even though they don't know much. It's incredible.

Small bets = staying with the game for a longer period of time. Yes, sometimes gamblers divide the amount of money they use for gambling into small parts and want to continue gambling for a longer period of time. In that case, the gambler has to stay with the game for a longer period of time and the type of time spent on gambling can lead to addiction to gambling. That is, I support your statement that small bets can often be the cause of addiction.

I just see so many players who simply believe they'll be lucky while others aren't. It's fascinating to watch; even if you put them in the same room, everyone would say the others are just losers. I think it's simply a great deal of self-belief, which gambling will inevitably demonstrate when you earn your place as a player. Personally, I don't see it that way; I simply understand my weaknesses and try to improve them. I think this is a common path taken by professionals. Another important point is that it's crucial to learn from those who play better than us.
