It quite possible that bitcoin could replace traditional banking in the next fifteen years, talking about the concept of peer to peer electronic cash. With the look of things there is 85% possibility that bitcoin will replace the role of traditional banking systems in some nation of the world.

To respond to your thread: bitcoin isn't going to replace fiat anytime. Rather, it would serve as an alternative where you have the option to either use bitcoin or fiat

Since this kind of topic has been discussed already multiple times, then I have to say it again my constant point of view. FYI, as long as the government continue to back up fiat, thus rejecting bitcoin, then there’s no possible reason that bitcoin will eventually replace the current position of fiat.

However, there’s always chances for bitcoin to co-exist with fiat but it will never come to the point that bitcoin will overrule fiat and replace fiat’s position in the government.
