He is offering a mining setup service and he included his Telegram account for people to send him message. That is easy to know that he is a scammer.

For deleting people's comment in his thread, it already show signs that he did not want people to give opinion that exposes what he is doing. Redirecting people to Telegram too is a red flag since there is no way to measure transparency outside this forum. I will advice people to be careful with that user because everything about his activities smells scam.

I saw that thread few days ago but never engaged in it discussions since i already spotted the red flag in such services, any way i keep am eye out and probably will give a follow-up red trust to that users, let see how things go but then he already got your tag on so that probably solve the tendency of scamming other here.

It is not even a cloud mining but he wants to be using helping people by setting up mining to be deceiving people. Such discussion can make novices or newbies think that he can do it. He will ask them for money and if the money is sent ro him, that means he has scam them because he has nothing to offer than to scam.

Advertising a mining setup with a self-moderated thread really raises red flags. Also, if he wants to sell something, he should post in the service section instead. Something looks suspicious to me. I don't have much experience with mining, but I haven't seen such a mining system. Miners should have their own setup and join the pool themselves. There is no real need for such a service at all, and it looks like he wants to promote something like so-called cloud mining. If so, then really he deserves red flags.

However, I would ask those who have better experience about mining to leave their comment here so we can take a look at whether it should raise flags or not. But if someone is interested in such a service, they should deal with caution.

Creating a self moderated thread for a business purpose is a red flag and it is a tactics used by scammers. It is either they create a self moderated thread or they lock the thread immediately after an update. Let's see if the user can defend themselves against this allegation.

I give him the other two because he deleted my post for people not to be able to read his scam attempt revealed. That makes me know that he is only here to scam. I hope people will check his trust feedbacks before doing anything stupid. I think only a fool will have anything to do with such person. If it is worth it to give a user two feedbacks, it does not mean. Two or more same feedbacks will only be seen as one until you check the trust feedback. I wish it can be seen as 2 but something like that maybe disabled for people not to abuse it or use it to spam.

I think he deserve the double tag for two separated reasons. One is try to redirect people to private chat for the goal to sell scammy softwares. Two is using forum features to get rid of honest opinions that aren't suitable for his scheme. There is nothing wrong with the two tags imo. One should have a reference this thread to prove scammy behaviors like selling mining softwares and invite users to telegram private chat. The second can use his self-moderated thread archived with number of posts deleted.

Mikeywith was the first person to notice something off in TheONLY-1 and the scheme he is promoting and he left him a neutral tag in far back 2023. If TheONLY-1 have been operating his scheme since then, I wonder how many people he would have scammed although no one have come out to make any accusation of being scammed by him. His self-moderated thread for a business he claim to run is a clear indication that something was off.

In these cases, because the scammer mostly targets guests, they will not see the negative trust, so flag support is necessary.

What the forum needs to avoid such situations is to disable the opening of self-moderated threads for newbie and Jr.Members. Some things should be earned, not given to anyone to abuse them however they want.

The flag is supported, @Theonly-1 deserves to get the warning, the user to avoid mining.

Back then a few people did use their service for pool setup and did seem generally happy with them.
No idea what has happened since.
On a personal level, I thought they were asking too much money for what they did considering there were decent YouTube videos that you could follow to get you there but nothing bad.

Yea, I have seen the reason you left the two separate tags. It is appropriate.
Concerning your proposal of making several tags giving by one person appear separately in numbering, as you noted, it would be abused. This will happen when people begin to use the feedback system for retaliation.

Some threads were self-moderated, some had removed posts but they have no negative feedback about running with peoples money.
If they were scamming I would think there would have been at least 1 they took my money and ran feedback in the last 7 years.

Just my view.


Edit to add: It's a pain to setup a pool but there are lots of youtube how to videos, but if you don't feel comfortable around linux then yeah I can see paying for the service. I have setup a few and I enjoyed the tech challenge, others may not and just want to pay for it. And, when they died I had to figure out what happened myself.

I get your point but you do realise that scammers also go for hacked or bought account for their schemes and the necessary rank to get a self moderated post will be hunted for, if need be for them.

There is no need to add much restrictions to newbie by the way the effort from forum members help in this. Remember even the admin doesn't want things too difficult or restricted for newbies.
