One of the political parties in Japan, called the Path to Rebirth Party, is trying to install an artificial intelligence as the leader of the party after a poor election result. The aim of this artificial intelligence as the leader of the party is not to dictate or give instructions on what to do but to manage the party funds and the distribution of resources among party members.
Politicians will view this as a positive development because it benefits them exclusively. It would have been better if the government considered an artificial intelligence to manage public funds, but they wouldn't want this because they want full control over public funds. Anyway, I am so impressed that the time is coming when we will rely on AI for greater transparency and reliability than the leadership of humans.
Impressed? Really? This just shows that majority of people don't get what artificial intelligence aka

AI is good for doing specific programming tasks. It's really unreliable with most things, and you wouldn't want to put any trust on the outcome without checking it.
It's a thing with lot of information in it, but it doesn't really differentiate sources and doesn't remember where it got that information from.
Would you say that's reliable way to gather information for decisions?
And top of that, it doesn't understand the information it has stored, but it just forms common combination of words on the subject, because it's a data prediction software and those words often jus go together in a sentence. And this thing should make decision? Based on what? You wouldn't know because they wouldn't be able to explain it.
