 I have been gambling with fiat currencies before I discovered bitcoin...so gambling isn't the way I got interested in Bitcoin and other crypto currencies... bitcoin for me is more of using it to make good investments instead of gambling with it...someone introduced me to bitcoin and I got interested in it..But lots of gamblers make use of Bitcoin and other crypto currencies Because crypto casinos are emerging everyday

No, I have been gambling way back before Bitcoin was created, I'm sure Satoshi was still in college when I started gambling. It's been like more than 2 decades now or more.

We can't deny that fact that gambling contributed to early Bitcoin adoption more than anything else and I stand to be corrected.

We have some old gamblers around here and you must really be one of those OGs we have around here, being an active gambler for more than two decades isn't a joke and you are still very active gambling, that shows the level of your gambling control, Bitcoin have played a role in cryptocurrency gambling, and the support that comes from that is the exposure that Bitcoin gainered from all the gambling activities online, this have changed the face of things from the old way to a new more improved one at this point.

Gambling is not what led me to bitcoin, I know about bitcoin when I was still 15 years old, but I was not interested in bitcoin as at that time, it was a friend of my that explained bitcoin to my understanding and he led me to bitcoin. Although I was still in doubt of bitcoin, until I joined this forum and it was in this forum that some reputable members like @JAYJUANGEE and others cleared me more about bitcoin and by explain it potential to my understanding. Although I was holding some portion of bitcoin before I joined this forum, but I was not consistence in buying bitcoin to add up to my holding. And sincerely speaking I haven't gambled with any crypto, because am holding only bitcoin in my wallet which I can't gamble with it, but I always gamble with my fiat currency.

Honestly, the first thing that led me to Bitcoin was the faucets; others said it was digital money that we could convert into fiat. That is the thing that brought me to invest in some cloud mining site before. At first, they let me do Bitcoin mining for a week and were able to withdraw. That is the first BTC that I withdraw and exchange for real money. I'm shocked at first because it's real money; I thought it wasn't.
Now, after being scammed by a cloud mining site, I look for help, and I end up here on the forum. I see more casinos here in the forum, and I love to play Dragon Tales.
That is the start of my journey with Bitcoin.

I'll be honest, back in the first years of BTC there wasn't much to do with it. But avoiding restrictions to gamble was a major use case because for once casinos that had been region blocked and majorly restricted by Mastercard, Visa and all  major payment avenues in most countries, could now have a way to get user funds seamlessly.

So there was a lot of innovation in online gambling. I think the highlight of this was provably fair gambling and online dice games and later also crash games in the style of moneypot/bustabit.

I'd say there was a lot of fun going on in these old-school chatrooms. I wonder if any real-life friendships were forged through just-dice chat for instance. There were so many regulars there back in the day that it's probably an inevitability.

Answering from your title of your post, I would say no because then I was not a gambler or do I say I had no interest of gambling but I know about bitcoin.
So it wasn’t about gambling that made me discover this forum rather, after years of being in this forum I have to start gambling because it’s most active discussion over here and including most of these promotion going on over here one just have to be attracted to gamble.

There is no major role gambling played when I started it, as a matter of fact, I don't know for others but For me my case was different, I had passion for Bitcoin and it  didn't just increase or grow as a result of crypto Casino. I have known about Bitcoin and has been investing on it a long term before I know about crypto Casino. And even as I have known about crypto Casino, I don't quite use it often .

So I started a poll as I haven't found earlier ones about this topic (there is a somewhat related thread, but it doesn't include a poll). I know that early gambling platforms like SatoshiDice drove a lot of people into Bitcoin, like written here, but I would be interested in the more recent tendencies.

The question is: Did gambling play a major role when you started to use Bitcoin and/or other cryptocurrencies? Or was it at least one factor among others?

I believe that cryptocurrencies have made betting easier in all casinos around the world due to privacy and especially due to the ease of depositing, since before cryptos, deposits would normally take days.

I discovered gambling after getting into Bitcoin and Ethereum years ago. Cryptocurrencies have already made a big impact on my life. Back then, I was underage, so it was exciting to find gambling platforms that were easy to use and didn’t require KYC like they do nowadays.

Of course, I made some mistakes early on like spending too much of my crypto and losing it to gambling. But things are different now. I've learned from those experiences and have a better understanding of how to manage it responsibly.

No. I knew Bitcoin back in 2017 already, and back then, I'm not into online gambling. I only learned online gambling when I joined a signature campaign called Yolodice where they are a online gambling website, but mainly focuses on dice only.

From there, I started to join various gambling signature campaigns and because of that, I started to be into online gambling as well. Despite being into online gambling, fortunately for me I can control myself, and my spendings as well. I can say that it's the least factor for me, or it didn't have any factor at all.

Alright, I personally discover Bitcoin after I looking for faucet site, which led me to freebitco.in

I claim some satoshis and learn more about it, but I didn't touch the gambling part even though they have it. After few weeks, I know this forum.

So what do you think about my experience? although I didn't discover Bitcoin through gambling, but the site I access has a part of gambling too.

I think people who discover Bitcoin through gambling are early adopters, just my assumption because people use Bitcoin for entertainment e.g. gambling, gaming.

No, I discovered Bitcoin is not because gambling. I came through my friend and I searched for more about Bitcoin. Then, I just found Bitcoin from a faucet. Coincidentally, some faucets have a dice game so which makes me play for some time. I didn't know if that was a gambling site but later, I realized that it was a gambling site.

Before knowing Bitcoin, I didn't gamble. But I don't regret if I now knowing about gambling. I can control myself and not gamble too often.

Well when I really started out in crypto one of the first things I did was get a gambling account for the free spins and with freebitcoin and that was pretty cool I remember at one point I got up to like 40 bucks it would be worth much more now

No gambling wasn't part of the reason why I started using bitcoin. I knew bitcoin long before I knew that some casinos do accept bitcoin and other crypto for gambling. I didn't even know that bitcoin and other cryptos were being used for gambling till I joined this forum. The casinos I was gambling with in my country before then were only accepting fiat.

I switched to gambling with crypto because it was more convenient for me, and the casinos that were being advertised here in this forum were more reputable  and safer for me and they offered advanced services than the local casinos I had back then in my region.

Its not gambling it was someone i knew , when i came to his home, there is a loud noice in his room and humid, i barely hear what he was saying , i was a buy n sell guy for computer parts, doing repairs etc, the bitcoin during that time is 300 usd, i accumulated 3 bitcoins during those time, but due to financial i sold it, but always buying small amounts, then sold everything for altcoins.

Something like that. The first time I came across btc was in a local forum, it was a referral link from a well-known faucet site with a LO-HI game. The next one I found was another gambling site, and that’s actually how I discovered this forum. So yeah, the first two crypto-related sites I came across were both gambling sites, all because of btc gambling. I even had beginner’s luck on those two sites, and that’s how I developed my gambling habit. Back then I thought I could keep winning continuously, until reality hit me.

I knew gambling right from secondary school days but bitcoin was not allowed to play gambling then, but since some gambling owners begin to involve bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in their website to gamble, that is where I know bitcoin before I found a good friend that impart me bitcoin to have the knowledge,  bitcoin have played a good role in my gambling since i discovered this large forum in 2019 that made me to decided to use fiat money to gamble because is not enough for me to gamble the way I want than to gamble with bitcoin, and I have won huge amount of funds from gambling through bitcoin I used to gamble to try my luck and my winning is coming by luck, and I like the way is coming to make my winning higher than my losing.

I voted No. I didn't started using or knew of bitcoin because of gambling, I have being gambling before I knew about bitcoin and it happened when I first heard about it. Obviously, this forum made got heavily invested in knowing about bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole. It was through the forum I have to start gambling with cryptocurrency order than fiat I have been using to gamble before the discovery. Now I combine both fiat and cryptocurrency to gamble offline and online.

When the first time to discovered about bitcoin my main reason is i want to earn extra money from the internet at that time my friends were suggest me to earn bitcoin from the faucets sites and i can earn approximately $1-$5 from those faucets which very easy to gets bitcoin at that time because the prices is still low compared to the current prices

About gambling actually the main reason to involved to online casino not because bitcoin and this because of my curiosity about how to used gambling using bitcoin and my first experience gambling to using bitcoin is playing dice game and i have to says currently i was quite often to gambling used crypto rather than buy bitcoin for investment purposes

I answered, Yes, it was the main reason.

If my memory serves me right, a friend, or should I say my mentor, regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, first introduced me to Bitcoin because of a free spin on an online gambling site.
Then, I got curious about what Bitcoin is, so he patiently explained to me everything that Bitcoin is and its perks of having it and storing it as an asset. It got deeper, and that's when I stayed here in the forum for a long time.

It was never for gambling purposes but it all started there.
