2010 legacy era QT 5 hard drive

I don’t even really know how to put in the words on a forum this exact hard drive. It’s definitely QT five legacy era and I have no idea how to get into it. It got corrupted. It was mining hardware written on there in python and there’s a lot of early Apache licenses from like 2005 2007 and extra nonce algorithm is on there in the files. I won’t disclose the patents on these files because there’s some patent on here and I’ve reached out to the people that have contributed to this hardware and they do not respond so I am seeking somebody to help me recover while it’s from a 2010 era bitcoin hard drive That had mining software and could potentially be one of the first validator on the network. I’m willing to get into a video chat or meet at an Airbnb and the United States but this is a very serious matter and I’m looking for somebody with mining knowledge from this erra because from what I understand, this was a custom mining set up From all of the research that I’ve done research this for about a year. I have a friend of mine from Canada also helping me with this project so we’re just looking for somebody who’s technical savvy to help us get into this and potentially they could receive a really nice payout. Or if even somebody could guide me in the right direction over a voice chat or a video chat through telegram or some other secure network then we could go into more details but as of now I’d like to keep the information on this forum limited. Also, everything is basically written in QT Linu ELF binary python pynacl JSON. The DNS swap is accounted for on there from when the client got switched to the DNSSEC server I can view and see all of the bitcoin, wallet files, and everything in windows when I do the recovery of the data but when I go to look at it in ELF or in Lennox, I have no idea what I’m looking at and I’ve basically been running scripts trying to find any bit 38 wif keys etc. The hard drive just basically got dropped on me because it got corrupted and a friend of mine knew that I’m into bitcoin so I had corrupted the hard drive and made it back up onto another hard drive. I still have the original hard drive and everything but potentially I’m just looking to get into this And possibly pay someone out and protect the bitcoin network if it is to be a large sum of money I would probably smart contract it out so that way it cannot be spent as frequently.

I've seen a lot of these "old drive, mystery wallet" cases. First, a reality check: there was no "Qt5 Bitcoin" in 2010. Early GUI builds used Qt4, and the really early client didn't use Qt at all. DNS seeds also came later, 2010 nodes bootstrapped via IRC. That doesn't kill your story, it just means the software you're seeing on disk isn't the timestamp you think it is. What matters is whether there's a wallet.dat (Berkeley DB) from an old Bitcoin Core data dir.

Before you touch anything else, stop messing with the original disk. Make a forensic image with ddrescue (or something like that), checksum it, and only work on clones.

Every extra mount on a failing drive is a coin flip you don't want to take. If a wallet.dat exists, try recovery with a Core that's linked against BDB 4.8 and use -salvagewallet/bitcoin-wallet salvage on a copy. If the file's missing or shredded, carve for keys on the raw image and verify candidates offline. Decode, check the Base58 checksum, derive the addresses, and only check balances against your own node or a private indexer so you don't spray your hits all over public explorers.

Nah I don’t think you are understanding…. The hardware used was pre bitcoin era and the last it was updated was in QT5 there’s a parser and some pynacl and binary files that really throw everything off. The last time this hard ware was updated was to QT5 and yes I have confirmed it used a GUI and custom mining setup this is definitely along the lines of what you are talking because the GUI is there the parser the algorithm and also there are things in sql3 json and other scripts there are Apache licenses block
Headers etc. and u can see everything in recovery mode through windows but when you put it in Lennox, it doesn’t work the correct way like you can’t see the files so it’s locked by some sort of binary or encryption of some sort I’m guessing I’m not exactly sure but it’s definitely a custom mining set up and there’s a lot of python. Mathjax ran with it like it’s not like you just plugged and played and you saying that there is GUI in the files and stuff it’s too much to explain over a form if you’d like we could get a telegram call or something it’s really hard to explain without someone actually viewing it over screenshare or being In person but me and my friends believe this is one of the earliest mining setups.

I must have seen far more stories like this by now than there were early miners. Bitcoin mining in the early days wasn't easy, so I'd expect all early miners to be able to write a clear story.

You could take photo or make screenshot of that GUI (that supposed to use QT5), upload the image somewhere (such as https://www.talkimg.com) and share link to the image with us. It would increase someone may understand what you're talking about based on the image.

I literally have no reason to attack someone lol I have mentioned I am willing to get into a telegram call to screenshare and discuss. Those results from keywords "crypto" and "btc" doesn't always mean that the file is related to Bitcoin.

For example, "btcoexist" is related to bluetooth drivers as the name implies "BT" or "Bluetooth".
And "crypto" which most of the time means "cryptography" not always "cryptocurrency".

I wont look up all those filenames but I'm pretty sure others may find those file names familiar,
And my best guess is those are mostly related to the OS and PGP.

It's not FUD, it's forum members being "skeptic".
Otherwise, most of them will take any topic in face value and become susceptible to trolls or scams.
That's a normal reaction IMO, specially when there's little information provided coupled with unrelated stuffs.

For the file that you actually need to find, refer to the first reply.
The possible of existence of mining software/algorithm is only for confirmation that there may be a wallet or private keys stored in the drive.
However, private keys can be tricky to find since it's not just bitcoin that use it, you may find thousands of unrelated 256-bit numbers so try to find a wallet file first.

Anyways, since you posted this here in Bitcoin Technical Support board, I doubt that you'll find someone to do your to-be-paid with "a nice payout" request.

1. If you mean Apache or GPL when you say copyright, actually it's open source license. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_License and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_General_Public_License. Software/code that use that license, there's nothing secret, hidden or patented due to nature of the license.
2. You claim we share FUD, but we share likely reference/usage of file shown on your images. Do you even bother compare and review what we share so far?
3. FYI, There are some images you uploaded more than once.
4. File "base-cryptomining" likely refer to "base-cryptomining-track-digest256" which created by browser Firefox to prevent website mining on your browser.
