Duelbits refuse to recover funds sent by deposit on wrong network BEP20 - ERC20

Hello. Today, I accidentally made a deposit of $300 in USDC cryptocurrency via the BEP20 network instead of ERC20.

This is obviously my mistake, but I was surprised that the website rejected my request to credit the funds.

A similar situation happened to me on this website before (identical networks) and I received the funds without any problems. This time, they decided that due to my mistake, the deposit would not be credited and that was it. I am extremely disappointed with their attitude, especially considering that the deposit address for USDC BEP20 is the same as for USDT BEP20, which they support, or USDC ERC20, which I should have credited, so they certainly have the capability to do so.

Is it normal for the site not to push to post a BEP20 deposit instead of ERC20 even though they support this network in another stable coin? I would understand if it were, for example, SOL on the BEP20 network, but in this case it is really strange.

1. The problem is on your side, not them; they have an obligation to reject as stated in the deposit page or terms & conditions.
2. Other site policy are not the same, in other service maybe you can do it but in other service you cannot do it.
3. Same like no.3 each wallet have their own setup. Never take the same conclusion, always double-triple check address, asset, and network before send.

You're hoping for a favour or good gesture, meaning your request could be rejected and in such case the user must let it go. Take it as example or leason, I also having these kind of situation. Offering them maybe take cut 20-30% of the fund is fine, but still cannot being recovery.

Sorry for your loss, OP. From what you have said, you were at fault for not properly cross-checking the wallets and also receiving address before executing the transaction. This aspect is clearly stated in various casinos that they are not liable to be held responsible if there be any mistake from the sender to failing to crosscheck sending and receiving address before doing transaction as any transaction of such nature is gone. Although some casino do refund but to the wallet address that sent the token but I will advise you do a proper check next time before you do a transaction to avoid this scenario.

There are a couple sites that will help you once and they even tell you when helping you that they will not help you in the future and you need to pay attention before clicking send. User error is exactly that, user error. Your mistake 100%.

I personally feel like they should/could help you but they should take a fee as you should pay attention, but their site their rules.

1. They have done so before in the case of this type of mistake
2. It is a BEP20 network that they support on USDT, and the deposit address for USDC ERC20 is the same.

Before depositing your funds to an exchange platform or gambling casino, few thing you have to make sure of is..
1.  The address you copied to send the money is totally correct..
2. Check the blockchain network you want to recieve your money on and be very sure, extremely very sure that  it's exactly the same blockchain network you will be send your money from, to avoid any possibility of sending money to a wrong address or over the wrong network.

And every exchange or casino have every right to choose not to help you recover your money back if you erroneously sent money over to the wrong network, this is because all this casinos usually make it clear in writing in the deposit page stating that they do not help to recover funds, so any funds sent to a wrong address or over the wrong network is absolutely the responsibility of the player..

So you should be pleading with duelbits to reconsider and show you how to recover the fund, and if they agree, good for you but if they refuse, then there is really nothing you can do aside bear the loss and a move on with your life.

It's entirely your fault OP, and if they aren't willing to help you for your own mistake you don't have the right to blame them either. I feel sad for you, I really do, but as everyone already pointes out, pointless now, its already sent. I also had similar experience in the past. I accidentally sent around $150 worth of token through a wrong network and wondered why isn't coming into my balance. Later realizing how stupid I was, that I used the wrong network. I hope, if it's recoverable, they would consider giving you a second chance (which people rarely gets in their life).

What are the chances that if they help you once again, you will continue making the same mistake? Maybe you should pay more attention to the addresses and warnings next time. It's not that hard by the way.

Some casino offer processing fees on mistake like this but considering this is your 2nd time I think Duelbits already applied what’s the original repercussion on sending tokens on wrong blockchain network.

There’s always a warning about losing your coins if you send different network on the deposit address.

It’s Duelbits own discretion if they will help you to recover your funds or net since they will need to manually input their wallet on different network just to recover funds while their wallet holds huge value that gives potential risk to them in case they made mistake on the process.

Since you aware, you should not suprise.

One things in crypto, regarding transaction. If you send a mistake, always feels or mark those transaction is lost no matter the address destination is from any person, platform or third parties you're using.

What we did, after making a mistake transaction is praying and hoping at least the transaction can be recovery. I have experience like you 5 years ago, and contact them cannot be solved and don't want process. However, I opened the case 4 years later due they seem broke their own term & condition and feels not right for me while following their T&C.

They decide to cover my transaction, funfact the coins/token are still on the wrong network address. Meaning, they're not touching it... basically due a wallet security reason. That's same goes for you, the reason why these business scheme don't want or operated rescueing a wrong transaction is due wallet security of their asset or they're using payment gateaway from other parties.

Oh men, you must have to be lucky to have that money back since their have the obligations to reject, although I have made this kind of mistakes before, but I was lucky that the casino converted it immediately noticing that I have made errors in network selection, so hopefully you get such luck on your side, but you have to know that casino have it in their terms and conditions against such mistakes and th responsibility of that on the depositor losing the money entirely.

I have made same mistake just while ago (BEP20 instead of ERC20) with USDT. And yeah, it's normal they don't always support it, even if they would support BNB deposits, which is weird.

They would ask me something like $100 to fix it, but as my deposit was $60, i am not paying them $40 extra for nothing . But something occurred to me, if at some point they allow BEP20 usdt deposits, my funds will already be there. Or i don't see why they wouldn't be, because they don't need to do anything for it, because it's literally in the same address.

Since you said you have made this kind of mistake before and they helped you,  this time around, take it that this is them telling you "hey we've helped you before, you won't be lucky next time".

The error you committed the first time is assumed to be a mistake. Repeating such mistake the second time is carelessness.  The money is gone and Duelbits won't be held accountable. Go and learn your lessons.

Oops, bad, but there's no point in panicking here. While funds sent to the wrong network don't always go away, though the recovery is very unlikely. What you can do in this case is grab the tx hash and show it to Duelbits support, open a ticket for manual recovery by showing a screenshot of BscScan and the explorer link, and insist on checking if it's deposited into a wallet they control. Although this may cost a fee and may take time. But if Duelbit rejects your request as per the policy, then it's nothing but bad luck.



If I'm talking about stake.com, here BEP20 and ERC20 are the same deposit address. So even if you make a mistake here, you won't lose your funds ANYWAY.

If you carefully read OP's complaint, you will realize that OP has done a similar mistake before, and they helped him recover the funds, but this time round, it looks like they are either feed up or they want to teach him a lesson not to make such mistakes again.

Don’t know if you’ve read there terms on this but, this puts them within their rights on how to handle this, either to comply or not.

If I get you correctly, it’s not your first time making this sort of error with the casino and while you were refunded in the first mistake, you are now being punished on the second.
When things like these happens repeatedly from a particular user, it gives the idea of something shady at play. When it’s your mistake, all you could do is hope and that’s it.

Duelbit I s one of the popular casinos we have here in the Forum and with good reputations and I am sure that if the ops approach well he may be able to get the money back at least sent back to the address that he sent from, this is the most expected way to deal with this kind of situation, but ops will definitely need to make some polit efforts, and not get angry at any point due to unresponsiveness from the team at this point, he can also use some of the casinos contacts on this forum, line their campaign manager can help too.

Giving him a chance for the first time due the mistake and making him carefull next time. But doing it again the same time, these time rejected to give him reality check learning from the mistake.

IMO, sometimes the best learn is not from other people advice but from the experience of him self while needed costing something. I guess these time he not gonna to next same mistake on here or other site.
