Here it is important which one you feel more comfortable with, an employee's income is limited and fixed, whereas a businessman can sometimes face losses and sometimes make huge profits. A businessman can earn good profits by market conditions, decision-making skills and taking risks, good success in business depends only on skills, that is the main difference. In a salaried job, there is no risk, you will definitely get your salary at the end of the month or at the end of the week, but in business, many times we cannot earn profits and many times we earn huge profits, now considering this, you have to decide which one you will do.

It is not correct to say that being a salaried job comes with no risk. You could be laid off or have your income reduced if the company goes through a difficult period and needs to cut staff and reduce working hours. Or worse, they've found someone better and no longer want to keep you. Being an employee is less risky, but not absolutely safe, we should not be complacent.

But yes, compared to starting a business, salaried job is much safer. However, everything has its price. Business will be riskier, but in return we will have more opportunities to earn huge incomes.

Many people want to be a businessman but that is not possible for them because they are poor and their background is very poor and that is reason they are living a life to pay their bills but they want to become owner and that is not possible for them. I agree, many people like to see good result but reject to enjoy our success process. But based on my experiences and my principle, material things will follow the achievements and value generated, if we are qualified, people who work with us both our bosses and colleagues will retain us as long as our valuation is high and aligns with the team's needs. What we need to ensure is our skill and our contribution. If we have high skill and significant contribution, i am sure, we still earn high income as employees. Its also applied in business, not all businessman can gain success automatically if they can not create value.

For me my self, even i am not employees, salary are not free money and job is not a cage, there are many dream job position in some bonavide company or institution with high salary, good facility and fruitfull incentive. Based on my previous experiences, job environtment can be place to learn new and applicable knowledge, palce to update and upgrade our skill, sometime boss send us to attend course and take certification. We  need to climb each rung in sequence for understanding each level and become an expert. So not the path which determine our success but our capacity, our quality as decision maker for ourself.

Salary is rent you pay to your existence at the time of work. That's all it is. The company calcuates what you're worth minus their margin and hands you whats left. Nothing is wrong with this arrangement per se. With the exception that we have somehow persuaded ourselves that its noble or secure when its neither, in actuality.

Profit is romanticized to a ridiculous extent. The culture of entrepreneurship on the Internet is intolerable at this stage. All those who post about waking up early at 4am and grinding and sacrificing. Half these people are just anxious and calling it ambition. So too are humans pattern-seeking and story-telling animals. We watch one person succeed and we retrospectively create a story in which they needed to suffer, it was significant, and it had a purpose. However, sometimes misery only breeds misery and no one writes an inspirational article about that.

Yes, it is only when you succeed that people wake up. We are programmed to follow changes in status, not processes. A man who is taking seven years to build a business is nonexistent. Buy a car, and all of a sudden everybody has something to say.

It is not about the salary or profit. Its whether you have optionality. Can you leave. Can you say no. Would you be able to last three months when it all goes. The majority of people who receive salaries cannot and the majority of small business owners cannot either so perhaps we are not as different as we are pretending. Salary is good for living and paying bills, while investment is good for long term purposes, I would rather engage in both, although some people are getting profits from.other things like running a business or doing online trading.

In this world today it's better to have one soruce of income, unless your salary is big in check, but for average people who are still struggling to have a better future it's better to get exposed to other ways to make money even if it's not instantly like your salary.

The Rich probably has good stable salary with bonuses and all the packages but you see the wealthy, they earn each day by the profits and that why it is called generational wealth, lol.

Many people would have prefer profit over salary but how many people has the massive financial capacity to established or setup a business?, aside not everyone can become an entrepreneur and it is the salary earners that would patronize those businesses in a nutshell both entrepreneurs and salary earners needed each other by complementing each other, however in developing countries where tgere is high rate of unemployment government encourages youths who are jobless to embrace entrepreneurship in other to earn decent profit over few salary earners yet the same government wouldn't provide capital for them for their startup, personally I prefer to setup business in an enabling environment.

The topic is too old, I know, but I would still love to give my feedback here because I just faced the same situation. I learned a new thing too: every business owner needs employees as much as employees need the job. But when the owners start to think that they don't need them, they are showing weakness there. I am not comparing it with those big corporations that are laying off their workforce, but my point is that both need each other badly.

So, the salary is not bad, not everyone can afford those consistent entrepreneurial efforts, so they could start their own company where they could give people salaries. But they can sometimes afford to earn the salary alone, and somehow due to the bad workplace environment, they get stuck and can't make any progress even after serving there for a decade, while newcomers could be earning more than they are, which is really a huge headache and frustration, and we see it in many developing countries. I would always go for profit, anyone would, but not everyone can afford the effort and trouble that a profit maker is ready to.

Working for a salary has many advantages over working for daily profits, even though in some jobs you cannot gain any other benefit other than your salary, but among the advantages are, that working for a salary enables you to have less stress, have financial management, predict your earnings, and also be dependable, you can also budget based on your expectations, enabling you to have long term savings, pay bills, and put yourself in insurance, such as health and life insurance.

Whereas working for daily profits cannot allow you to predict your income, and it also involves risking your money, in some cases business collapse usually occurs along the process.
