This is a good initiative you have started. But I think there are some areas you have to elaborate further. It is good to give charity but what identity would you use to deliver the charity or is it a personal charity seeking for support from well meaning members? What will be your yardstick? As you said 3 orphanage homes, do you also imply one orphanage home per geographical location?

Will you deliver it with which name? I believe that even though we're family here, this is not a committee of friends. These are some view points I believe you have to elaborate and clarify to members. It is good to think charity, but regarding the nature of our duty here, I don't know how you plan to code name and deliver the gift in the outside world.

I think the message is very clear bro, maybe you misunderstood it. Just as the name implies, it's a December charity outreach,  where the the OP and maybe few members or group would visit orphanage homes, at least 3 as he said to share items and gifts.

He is just calling for our donation to support this view and also to be part of the joy that will be created in the lives of those that will receive the gift. You are not expected to go anywhere or buy any gift or share anything. All the OP wants from you is to support with your Bitcoin or Usdt as you can give. He would do the buying and gifting as he has planned, maybe with his team or so.  Exchanges and networka where we can send in our assets have been giving. That's it bro.

Nice initiative this is a call to humanity and also a humanitarian service which comes with blessings. We can donate good amount if we start making plans for it now as december no far again from now. i my opinion i will like the donation to be with fiat you can get any micro finance bank account number like Opay or monipoint or any none microfinance bank where we fit dey send the money since there can be others who may want to donate some money who are not in any signature campaign to pay with ustd. Just my opinion sha.

I have seen so many of us saying that's nice initiative, really it's nice initiative and I have not see anyone who volunteer to donate for the charity for now, or  some of us is waiting for the first person that will donate, for me if you are willing to donate don't hesitate to donate, because I'm seeing a charity as something you are doing for your self, because supporting the privileged ones is like challenging God to do more for your life, let the donation start, what makes to be more excited for op, is because, he mentioned giving the less privileged items like food.

OP, clearly stated that, with or without anyone contribution he will fulfill the mission. It is not a criteria for volunteers to show proof here.

To me charity is good and shouldn't be done with the intention of geographical location or who tends to benefit it so long it gest to the less previllage term as orphanage home. In a time like this according to the roman calendar. Christmas is near which often take place during the end of the year, all glory be returned to God who has made it possible for us to see the light of the day.

So donations or support call it whatsoever ever isn't bad. But instead be seen as a beautiful reflection of the season, it is out of love, empathy, kindness and out of all this I have mention. The act or idea of visiting orphanage home for support is conceived I encourage elegant members of this forum to pick it up, because all I see in this beautiful idea is humility and being compassionate among one another

Thanks for waking this matter up because I almost forgot we have such project at hand. I think there should be a timeline for donation and certain things because the way November is running, we are almost in December. It would be best to take the donation serious this month because a lot of people hand go full for December because e get as that month dey be untop bills. The Op should be keeping this topic active every now and then... just imagine that it was hidden for the whole month of October and if not that u woke it up, the project might have been a dead one.

Nice one bro, you have done noble by this quick call of yours to know what's up with this stuff,  is not a bad idea reaching out to the unreached and the less privillage out there, however christmas is fast approaching and it's a time of celebration. This is a welcome development because we are gradually going into a season of celebration, sharing and showing love to others. So for someone to come up with this type of initiative is commendable and should be treated as a matter of importance for everyone in the forum that has a compassionate and kind heart which will see others happy. Going to the orphanages home with our donations to put smiles in the faces of the motherless and fatherless is a welcome development. But I want to suggest that people  making donations should not be made compulsory to bring their donations public , because this is a work of charity and there are also people who may not like to bring their donations to the public.

It is wonderful to see something different that isn't just about making money, launching a product and selling a product or service.
Innovative thinking as such will do well to encourage more sensitization and campaigns to arise to benefit the community at large not just help this forum alone and I would support in the little way I can, because it is for a good cause.
It is not only in times of disaster and crisis we should come up with campaigns to help the less privileged. This counts as best.

This is a kind gesture that has been mentioned in our scriptures, and every religion encourages almsgiving; that is, remembering those who are less privileged than others.

My view, presented in the form of a question, is this: Is this advice meant for orphanages in Nigeria or Africa, or for those in foreign countries?

If someone wants to participate but does not have Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, what alternative means are available for them to participate without using BTC or cryptocurrencies?

Welcome development op, you get my full support on this idea, their are thousands and one children out there that are very hungry and the least we can do is to show love to them. supporting and showing concerns to the less privilege is one thing God loves and cherish so much, if we can be able to effect this innovating ideas of ours it will be great 👍.

This idea speak volume in reminding us as human we need render help within our reach to the less prevellege, wealth or money without your neighbor having good impact that seem positive or relief on their pains and sorrow Worth not celebrating. One thing I observe when help is render to the less prevellege the word "thank you" and God bless you is a prayer that goes a long way spiritually in paving way for the giver. The date is too long the format should be made clear to avoid  mistake during deposit.

You made a very good point there, I am  thinking the same that it should have been Better to have one particular name for the free will donation so that when presenting those items to any of the orphanage homes agreed by those contributors who wished to come together to achieve this initiative,then that general name used will appear and represent everyone of them who has contributed from one way or the other,so that after delivery the items or financial to the said orphanage homes the report will be posted here for those who may not be there because of far distance or maybe lack of chance make them not to attend and while the report is posted they will see it that it's not scamming or deceiving .. please I am not trying to stop people from participating rather I am trying to add little idea of mine to make it more unique and encouraging ,I'm speaking from our individual understanding .

The outreach will be under the name of the community "bitcointalk Nigeria". I am vested in charity and have always been someone to give back in my capacity to those in need, but this will not be done in my name alone, but the name of this forum.

I am happy with what I am seeing here, and this shows that the members are likely speaking in one accord, irrespective of the fact that there have not been much turn up in contributions. Although there is still little time, and possibly some members are planning to do something before then, some might present their own items on the day of the visit, but all the same, it will be nice if we turn up for the event that day, so as to fully represent the community and platform we belong to.
