Having access to two or three words of your seedphrase is not going to harm you in anyway.

But to be safe, you can add a passphrase to your seedphrase (some wallet like electrum allow you to do that). So if your seedphrase has 12 words, you add more words to it that you're supposed to remember (or write down, and store elsewhere) that way.. if someone finds the original seedphrase, it'll restore him a wallet but it will be empty.

You can crave your seed phrase on a metal plate so that it will be safe from water and fire. However, make sure that you have three duplicates of your seed phrase and keep them in three different locations very far from each other. I used the normal method which is writing it down on a piece of paper with three duplicates.

If you do not know the passphrase, you will not be able to recover your coins. The passphrase is like the seed phrase, you need both to have access to your coins. I like to use passphrase. I do not think I have a wallet that I did not extend with passphrase.

Possibly you misunderstood my point here. I do not doubt the fact that one can not store their keys in the above places you have mentioned. And as a matter of fact, these storage systems you have mentioned are prone to hacking at any point in time, and if that happens, the assets are gone because anyone who tries gaining access to accounts holding keys to wallets with assets automatically can be able to do away with the assets.

Now, my point is, as you have quoted, as a wallet holder, you can freely save your keys wherever that is safe for you to do so as long as it can not be easily compromised by anybody, and besides, you, as the owner of the wallet is free to make the choice of storage you deem fit to store your assets.
