Old generations are still very much watching and enjoying sports, and the same goes for new generations and even newer ones to come and as long as sport itself doesn’t go out of style then I don’t see anyway sport betting would go out of style.

A lot of people who bet on sports, do so or started it because of their involvement in the actual game. Myself included, I switched from casino games to sport when I finally started watching some certain sports and whenever I bet on a game (irrespective of the amount) and it goes as I had predicted, there’s this feeling of satisfaction and excitement that comes from it and that’s why I keep betting on sport till this day.

I think you may be underestimating the attraction and power other casino games have... Crash, blackjack and slots also move hundreds of millions of dollars each day and they volume can be higher, due to how people get the result of their session immediately, completely opposite to what happens with sportbetting, in which you need to wait a considerable amount of time to know whether you lost or won money out your prediction.

Also, it is not so easy to consistently predict the winner of a match, regardless of the sport you are betting on, otherwise professional bettors would not be a minority within this market.
I would even dare to say it is easier to consistently get money out betting in political events, since those are more predictable than sports, but the time of resolution and odds make them less attractive to the general bettor out there.

Betting will be always in casinos and on the internet, but casino game will be also keep their slice of the cake in the long term.

Yes, because it is experiencing a boom that other areas of gambling are not seeing. It is somewhat reminiscent of the poker boom.

I can't quite explain why it's so popular now. Sports betting has been around for a long time, and online betting hasn't just become popular now, it's been around for years. I imagine it's taking market share from other areas, such as poker, as I said before.

Example is when the seasons are over, some bettors continue to bet off season matches and football matches that are not important or taken seriously because they don't want to bet on nothing except sports especially football games. Many gamblers are betting on football and no other sports while a lot more are not betting on casino games.

It is practical. Sports is not like casino games or games on playstation that is just for the fun of gambling but no real physical attachment. In sports, there is the physical attraction to it and bettors have that involvement, interest and passion for the game because they are fans and real time supporters of those club sides involved in the game. Bettors see especially football as hobby to watch, gamble and have fun with.

I think that sport betting has a lot to grow offering new markets and new games to play.
I would see an incentive for both industries since there is a lot of synergie: Crypto and Btc are two great instruments since provide quick liquidity and automatic settlements.
Sport bettings has more game volume because and players behind there is an entire (rich) industry. In some countries this is able to finance the sport (like horse racing bet in Italy).

Nothing has really changed -  as long as sports are here, betting will remain. You can’t really compare it to other types of games. Like the OP said, gamblers can play slots, but they won’t usually bet as big as they do on sports, because there’s no same level of confidence. There’s a huge difference between games that rely purely on luck and sports betting where you base your move on analysis. Yes but traditional gambling like dice and poker has also always been here even before sports betting were a thing. There are some form of dice and card games embedded on every culture. The dice or card games rules might not always be the same but people could easily get connected to it. Even if they don't, dice and crash are something you could easily learn by observing a few results. There are more learning curve to sports and sports gambling than dice or crash. I have found plenty of people who don't know the basics of simple games but they know how to play different gambling games.
So, both sports betting and casino gambling are here to stay.

1. I do agree. Sport betting has been exist ever since anceint olympic before the century until now. It shows how sport betting in here to stay forever. it will be gone only if none will be playing sport again, which is impossible to happen.
2. I personally thing that main reason should be it less manipulated. Even if there would be match fixing, but it was not massive. The result is also based on its team or individual perfomance, and not being rigged by the unfair system.

I don't know about other gamblers, but for me, that's how it is. I play casino games more often when the leagues I follow are on a break. When everything is running, I only play casino games in between dull moments.

Sports betting is older than most of the casino games if not all.  There is this type of gambling on sports called pool that existed as far as early 19th century and till date it has continued to grow. If it can survive that long, then as long as sports exist, gambling will continue to exist. Gambling even contribute in the funding of sports which is one good reason it will continue to exist.

You just stated the obvious, sports betting is one of oldest gambling so for that reason it is going no where, am one of those that love beating ok sports because of happy I am watching football, although I don't bet om some matches but because of the love I have football and how conversant I am with some teams, I bet on them but with the amount i can afford without thinking otherwise when I lose.
I believe many persons bet because they want to win but for me I bet on sports betting for two reasons which is for fun and also to win but if i don't win, I don't feel too bad because I know that I might lose form the onset because no knows it all afterall i won't say I know the outcome of the games i bet on form the beginning.
