Welcome to the 2025 Btalk Pumpkin Carving Contest. I started this contest back in 2022 ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5416347.0 ), it far surpassed my expectations. From Theymos, mods, newbies to Legendary members who I’ve know for many years, everyone got involved in one way or another and was just such a blast.

I picked up a few babies at the store today and you might notice a very American wooden pumpkin in the back,
Saw that today too and it was an easy call to purchase, my fav things about fall are those two pumpkins and football (American football).



I will be doing some traveling over the next month so getting out ahead of this a little in prep. Also because it’s Sunday , that means NFL all day so a quick ANN

To follow : exact rules , and prizes. I will be using the same rules as my last contests. Prizes will be provided by myself alone. I want this to just be all about the btalk community (Oct 1 being my 9 year Ann 🤯) . The winner prizes will be good ones, I promise

Last time I missed the event simply because I couldn't get a pumpkin to use. Those regular pumpkins are quite rare in my locality. I don't know if you probably remember I think I created a thread about if using water melon was possible. Anyways to my suprise a couple months ago (shortly after last year's Halloween) when I visited the supermarket at the veggie section I found some giant pumpkins was really happy but disappointed it was already late to participate.

Anyways this year I hope I'm able to get them at that same supermarket. Hopefully it's gonna be my first pumpkin entry on the forum.

Only pumpkins are used for carving during Halloween which I think is related to this contest. Some countries may have green pumpkins which can be asked about to be used for the contest or not.

I'll start thinking about another antihero figure for my carving this time, even though Venom never disappoints me on the voting results. Maybe Dr. Doom or Hulk if I get a pumpkin with a slightly greenish flesh. Hopefully, my wife won't forget where she put my carving tools (she cleared my desk that was the last time), or I'll have to skip this year's contest. We'll see. Hahhaaa..

The time has come again for forum users to show their talents on fruit carving. Nice one op.

I think time is flying, and we're at the tail end of Bitcoin's 4-year cycle, which should make for a very exciting Bitcoin Pumpkin contest.

You can easily browse all the pumpkin varieties users had last year. I clearly remember there were green ones too. In my country, pumpkin sales are in full swing right now, and there's a variety to suit every taste. However, carving them is quite challenging; it requires not only skill but also considerable strength.
I'm looking forward to seeing our men's creations, and the forum will definitely see a surge in new accounts, which tend to either emerge or be created at this time of year and during the contest.

This will be interesting, lot of members have already been waiting for something like this and making the announcement today seems a milestone acheivement though, but I must confess, getting the desired pumpkin could be rare as in some localized regions where it's not predominantly found, but it's so much interesting that a rigor search a d little cost could get one the desired pumpkin needed, can't wait to see the prizes and when this is fully launched.

I almost thought that this pumpkin carving contest will not hold this year after i discovered that one of the events that took place last year namely, the pie baking contest didn't hold this year, but it is good to know that this one will hold. I could remember the beautiful pictures i saw in last years' contest and hoping to see more improvements from participants this year. From my geographical location it is difficult to get a pumpkin but maybe i might luckily see one in the fruit garden at my State, i hope to see one so that i can also partake in the contest. Thanks to you @ChiBitCTy as we wait for the official kick-off of the contest come October 1st which is actually the Independence Day in my country.
