Hello every one, I guess I'm not the only one who noticed that a place where we once know as a forum for discussing about gambling and making our selves better in gambling, Is now an advertising forum, I came looking for discussion that will enlighten me as a gambler, but to my greatest surprise I can't see non.
Yes advertising is part of it but it has now overweight the true purpose if the forum. Which in my own perspective it's wrong, I think measures  should be taken to minimise the rate of at which we make advertisement in the forum.

I think it would make more sense if you add a few examples of these threads you’re referring to, because from what I can see there are lots of discussion threads here in gambling board, the only issue here is the rate at which threads of the same topic are being created.

Remember that there’s gambling board and gambling discussion board, for the gambling board we have so many Ann threads there (I’ll assume that’s what you’re referring to) and if you check those threads you’ll still be able to see so many discussions to engage in and learn from.

Do you know that this board has a section for gambling discussion and a general gambling board? The discussion section should be where you are looking for where you can see all manner of topics in relation to how to avoid being addicted and the rest of them.

On the other hand, this forum is not mainly for discussion about gambling; rather, it’s mainly for Bitcoin discussion. Gambling and other things are secondary.

I'm confused, I mean, if you want discussions about gambling, you can visit the "gambling discussions" board, which is the child of board of gambling board. This part of the board(gambling) is mainly focused on casinos advertising their platform(I think), so you might have some trouble finding discussions about gambling that you are looking for.

Compile at least 3-5 posts that is considered by you as advertising. Because posting with the purpose of advertising is against the rules unless it's the OP and in the proper board. Most of the posts here are for the purpose of discussion, the main issue only is the quality of these posts on some.

I like when there were events and competitions by casinos because these make participating in the forum much more interesting.
Of course the gambling discussion board will be used for advertising because the gambling board only allows one thread per company.

Whereas competitions and predittion threads are desperate discussions that deserve their own topic. Of course there's going to be advertising in a sub-forum about gambling. There should be no surprises there.

I believe you what you were looking for is the gambling discussion board which you can find HERE.
This board being the gambling board is a special place for casinos and other platforms offering any type of gambling services to showcase their products and services, and also engage with their users and potential users..

Seems to me like it's been a while since you last accessed this forum or visited the gambling section of the forum, you are not wrong any ways, I knew the very time when gambling board haboured alot of gambling discussion threads as well, but things shifted a bit, and most general discussion on gambling threads started getting moved to gambling discussion board, leaving this board for gambling service providers to advertise their products and services and also engage with their community.

What do you mean by “advertising”? Do you mean the signatures you see from forum members?  If that’s it, it’s nothing new ... this forum has allowed signatures for a long time. Most of the businesses using them are casinos trying to get exposure, so don’t read too much into it.

If the signatures bother you, you can just hide them with an ad blocker and read the discussion freely.

Why not quote a few cases that can make your point more clear and well explained, because from what you have said i can see any relationship with what the gambling discussion board is all about except on a few cases where casinos that are introduced by newbies create ANN thread on gambling discussion, instead of the gambling announcements section such topic get moved immediately.

From my experience, i havent seen any direct advertisement here for a while now and even if there will moderators will get it moved to the appropriate board ASAP.

You chose a weird way to present your opinion about how casino advertising affects the forum and discussions... And yes, there's a lot of shitposting coming from people who don't even gamble and have no experience with gambling. They are here to make a bit of money by writing comments that don't really make much sense most of the time.
By the way, your post doesn't make much sense either... you mixed up a few things, and it's confusing to figure out what you want to say.

Anyway, feel free to start any discussion by creating a new topic, like you created this one... But the next time, show us your ideas & thoughts on some gambling topic, because this isn't one. And you can make it self-moderated so you can have some control over shitposters.

In which part? the gambling section that's been built with announcement threads? that's a specific section for them and it's not about advertising. Well, the forum is known to have gambling signature campaigns and that's known. But if you've seen some discussions that are talking mostly about advertisement of casinos, you tell us and point us to that thread. Because even on this particular gambling discussion section, it's all about gambling discussions and if you think that some sort of posts are advertisement in there, it's because that they're related to the casinos or gambling websites that are also part of the forum.

If you search this board you can find lots of gambling topics that contains the forum members insight.  This sub-board  is dedicated to such discussion and there are even factual topics about gambling.  I believe you don't search much before creating this thread or probably you are only looking at the signature part of the poster not their content or the topic being discussed.

And I think you should have posted your inquiries rather than whining over missing something that actually exists.

Truly, there’s a lot of spam post in the gambling board mainly because signature campaign have a mandatory post on gambling board while some manager accept a user despite being a non gambler poster.

The result is there’s always a certain required gambling post per week that is spam.

However, you might be confused on the signature space as the way to shill casino since user wearing it like me doesn’t affect my post by the casino I’m wearing. We are not shilling the casino rather we are just wearing their brand while we still made a regular gambling post.

PS: this topic should be move on Meta as this thread mainly focus on the “gambling board” discussion.

If there are some topics that you wanted to be enlightened about in gambling and you can't find it, then you are free to always create the topic and then ask your question. If you ask any questions, definitely there are knowledgeable gamblers here that will answer your question and you can be educated by gamblers that have had the kind of experience you are looking to learn from.

Actually, this forum was originally dedicated to crypto, not gambling. Look at the domain name.

So what do you suggest? Banning signature campaigns related to gambling? Also, I'd be curious to know if you'd be opposed to advertising on the forum if your signature included a casino?

It seems to me that if you genuinely want to discuss gambling on the forum, then no amount of advertising, which, by the way, is completely unobtrusive, will interfere in any way. Or are you bothered by low-quality posts in the gambling section?

In my opinion, advertising and discussion cam co-exist on this forum one does not necessarily exclude the other. There could be some people who feel encouraged to post around because they are enrolled in a signature campaign, that is true but that does not mean their participation or their discussion does not have some value to the original idea the OP had for their thread in question.
There have been very valuable threads with very valuable information here which I have taken advantage of to learn about bonuses, edge of the house, how to find the actual Return to Player rate of slots machine, among other things.
It could be just a coincidence or a biased view that you cannot find exactly what you are looking for in this section of the forum.

If you feel there is nothing available to enlighten you, then it is perfectly reasonable to create a topic regarding it. As for me, I am already satisfied with the discussions I have been reading
here in the gambling section of this forum platform. If you observe closely, most of the casinos within the crypto space already have their own announcement thread sections.

Through these, we can at least gain insights into what each casino has to offer and find the information we are seeking. As for your part, I am not entirely certain what exact point

Casinos come to the forum to promote their services, and even under the ANN threads of these casinos here in the forum, if you actually do follow and have paid some attention to them, you will discover that there is a lot more discussion than just mere advertisement going on in those ANN threads. Discussions are still very organic and not strictly promoting one casino over the other. @OP, I think your observation is false, you have not engaged properly in these ANN threads and boards else the enlightenment that you seek should be what you will get.

Dude, you are right that gambling related ads has grown significantly with on BitcoinTalk, but lets face it... it is been growing everywhere for a few years now, right? Social media, news sites that have nothing to do with betting (especially sports), youTube, and others.... The betting market has grown enormously at recent years, so... competition has increased and ads is just a consequence of all this. Its inevitable that it would grow here on the forum as well.

But I think you are wrong when you say we've lost our "essence"... I still see much quality threads and good independent topics here in the forum. Even some "less honest" betting sites are quickly reported by our members when something strange hapens, so we still have the essence of free debate and forming our own opinions on any content. The thing is, everything has ended up getting mixed up, especially subscription campaigns, since mixers were banned and opened up more space for gambling.

By my experience if not that I will not be able to visit every threads in this gambling discussion subboard, I would had say you lie because this forum itself first does not support such advertisement while users are also abiding and the discussion board has been cleaned from any of such as acclaimed advertisement.

Intended users to do gambling adverts here in the forum has always been nuked.
