Do you believe with me that the government play a major roles in the failure of some youths today, because i believe that we are not a lazy youths because we all believe on hard work but a situation or process where by youths in the various society today has try their possible best as a graduate that aqurie degrees in some area of profession which they used the degrees that have in search of government work, and definitely you are invited for jobs interview and once they check your degree and see that you qualify for the job, they will say that you don't have working experience and probably you don't have any to fight for you to obtain that particular job, so there countries that there jobs opportunities is based on knowing or having person occupying a seat in the government house, while some jobs will be placed on sell, and a process where the coming youths can't afford the payment or he doesn't have someone in the government house, the youths will be frustrated and disorganized that they might end up committing crimes, because of what they go through during school, and while some youths never still given up on themselves, than still pushing consistently and removing their minds in anything concerning government jobs but to attach themselves to various skills that can help them make it in life, by employing themselves.

There is this proverb like saying that I learnt a few months back, but I doubt if I still remember it exactly the way it was said, but let me try...
"School teaches us a lesson, so that it can give us a test...

That's literally how the world works today both from the government to the educational system, and the majority have failed to sit back and rethink the whole thing. Many keep chasing after degrees with high hopes of finding favour in the labour market, but only a very few understands that the degree is never enough.

The government on the other hand is not helping matters, which should be enough reason for the youths to remove them from the equation. This should be a struggle/fight between an average citizen and the reality of life. Everyone has to embrace the mindset that no one is coming to safe them. The labour market is not a safe haven for anyone. The idea should be struggling to work your way through. If it gets easy for you, then that's your luck.

What we should bear in mind is that government can not provide all our needs in quote. The best we can do for ourselves is to learn skills while we study. Even a first class graduate now without a skill if not careful will end up being frustrated before he or she will be waiting for when government will provide jobs. The most valuable graduates now are ones with skill. That is why everybody wants to study a professional course but no be everybody brain will take professional courses, just like medicine, nursing, law and all the rest. I will advice all undergraduate to learn one or two skills before they graduate, there is no knowledge that is a waste. We can't wait for government to survive, we should take the bull by its horn. Democracy and governance is one system that some people have used to capture our collective patrimony, democracy as defined by those who initially practiced it, define it as the government of the people, by the people and for the people, in all the connotations of the definition of democracy, the people's interest comes first, but the current display of democracy by the people who are currently our leaders, believe that democracy is just within and amongst the elites, rotating powers within themselves, instead of the initial collective bargaining that actually describes democracy.

So hence you have a situation like this, it will affect the transparency on how the governance system is run, and it will snowball into under-unemployment, youth restiveness, low revenue generation and the rest of it, because the revenue been gathered is shared just within the microscopic few elites.

If anyone really stay and watch over government to help him or her after school you are on your own ,is true that our government can help us reach a point after school but truly they failed us ,but since they failed we too can't fold our hands and watch them to whom it may concern will need fast approach in making our Life better without the government,so we can not wait for them to help us before we can fend for ourselves.

Yea, I strongly think the government contribute an important role in the failure and frustration most youths face today. The problem is not that we youths are lazy- majority of the youths are very hardworking, educated and focused on success. Moreover, the system usually fails to generate equal opportunities for the youths. Most graduate are refused employment because of lack of "experience" or connections, even when the person is qualified for the job. In most cases, jobs are given to those who have someone in power, even when they are not qualify for the job or the job will be given to those who can pay for the position. This actually discourage a lot of talented youths and pushes some into depression or some will even start committing crimes.
 But despite all this challenges,most youths are still not giving up. Many young people are learning new skills, becoming business owners and creating opportunities for themselves instead of waiting for government jobs. I actually hope and pray for the government to recognize and support these efforts by creating a fair and transparent system where hard work is truly rewarded.

I can remember during my primary and school days, the government schools sector has been functioning as before, of recent i visited so many schools within my society and i noticed and see that the building of government schools are no were to write about, were must of the students don't take education sector not serious because of the absence of teachers coming to the class because government are still owning teachers some month salary, but the a private schools sector is more monitorable by the owner of the school to see how his school is going time to time, so i wish the government should look into the government schools sector because it is actually going down badly that it is not happening compared to those years passed.

You should not expect a government to accommodate all its citizens into a government job because it is not possible and they may have some responsibility by allowing the private compnaies and encouraging foreign investments for that they need to have favourable conditions and something that others can come and make money while allowing the locals to work.

But I will say it is on the hand of the respective individual, if he take all the effort then he can find a job somewhere and if the country isn't have any then look in other countries and let me tell you there's always job is opening for a candidate who is competent enough to complete the task.

The government has that account for the growth of their youths, there should be programs provided for them to get the availability that is in for them. To hone their skills and also to provide activities for them to get attached to the community. What is just happening is that there is no transparency in most of the government parastaters in the sense that there are job opportunities in government offices but the people in charge of this offices chose to privatize it and not making it genuine to anyone who is fit for it or who qualifies for it. If there is transparency in government there wouldn't be unemployment when there is an opportunity for someone to work. Most of this offices meant for the youth to occupy has been reserved for an undergraduate who has not yet finished school why the graduate are heating there head on hard nut. Sometimes in government work they ghost workers and take the money and become richer why the people who needs to occupy such position are suffering, that is how people complain of not having work why there is. The best way one can do is to creat opportunity where there is non, since graduating from higher institution does not guarantee employment.

your are very correct bro!! the government has a big impact on the future of young people especially this days where jobs are few or even given through connection instead of personal merit!! many youths work hard, finish school with good degrees and still can not find jobs because the system is unfair. to them. when someone is told they need experience for a beginner job or they are asked for bribes or to know someone in power!! like it kills their hope entirely but still it is not all youths that give up! because some focus on learning skills, starting small businesses, freelancing or creating their own jobs. while bad government policies push many into frustration or even crime!! others use that energy to build opportunities for themselves.

Our leaders today has locked up the process of endorsing other people that doesn't have people who will speak on their behalf, because they want people at the top to remain at the top, they refused to give room for people with no background to come up in our country, if you check the public offices today, it is either people whom their parents or uncles where occupying a high position in the country, even if the people of no class merit it, they will not be given the opportunity to lead because they want their names and families name to surface instead of allowing other surnames to come up, they don't even want the people of lesser class to go to school any more, check the rate at which they are hiking the school fees today, everything is increasing more and more as the days unfold.

I think I disagree with you on this @ Hispo, government are the reason why so youth today are wandering because they fail to do their obligations,  and their empty promises during election and campaigns but when power is given to them , they think of becoming wealthy and acquiring asset, which they never think of masses, if they where to create jobs , empowerment and  scholarship etc , in some foreign countries all these are being provided to them because they have the masses at heart that's why some other countries are doing great not like Africa countries where everything is man know man.

If you put your personal expectations over the government, you have already failed in this life. You can't expect anything from an undetermined bunch of individuals who occupy the spot where they are through lies, manipulation and false promises.

You claim to believe in hard work, so work hard and develop your own strategies without expecting a helping hand is going to come from somewhere. Moreover, don't include yourself in social groups like youths. First of all, you are an unique individual. The youths may be having a hard time finding a job, but you can't embrace their failures just because you are on the same age range of them. You are yourself, not the youths, remember that.

And once a company refuses to hire you, just move to the next one and so on, until you finally find someone willing to give you an opportunity. Stick to the possibilities which are to come, and not to the refusals you have already faced previously.

In my environment i am a witness that cumlaude graduation currently have no jobs and he is desperate because seems his certificate cannot be used to apply the job and i think this is proven in the present day sometimes smart people in education will not guarantee have a job because the opportunity is very small but besides that the competition to gets the jobs is getting tight

I have some pictorial glance of all being said and that is just the truth. Gaining white-collar jobs is almost a dead dream for those who does not have the funds to bribe those in office in charge of the emoluments. It only takes grace for the less privileges despites their degree and skillful qualifications to sail through the life-changing jobs but those who have high profile connections either by relationships or recommendations are liable to get the jobs with a the very less stress.

The secret behind it is that those in higher positions (offices) who are in the position of the recruitments would always secure some major vacancies for themselves and then leave the few positions for the masses where they may strictly (only) employ those who have the qualifications while those with connections or can afford to pay the necessary are considered to be employed even with or without qualifying for the jobs.

So at times it is not real a fault of the government but of those who are entrusted to oversee the jobs.
