I have a 10BTC goal in 2014 (check my previous posts). I'm 1/3 of the way there and 9 months to go.

I'm hoping that the price continues to dip. Bought .8 @ 390.

If it goes low enough I'll satisfy my 10BTC goal pretty quickly.

10 BTC seems like a pretty good amount to aim for, good luck€!

Thanks! I would have another .25BTC but lost that trading on Cryptsy.

So going forward my 10BTC goal will come from 3 places:

1) buying some when the price dips (without my wife getting mad at me)
2) selling things on ebay and trading that extra income for BTC
3) telling family that I would like ALL gifts this year to simply be BTC

This should get me to 10BTC. Slow and steady.

I think it is a very realistic goal if the price doesn't spike up too much soon, we are still in a down trend right now but things can change quickly

If the price goes up, you gain from the btc you have and if it dips you get to buy more btc

Exactly. You are 100% right. I have more than enough $ to buy 7 BTC right now, and then Id be at 10BTC, and it wouldn't cramp my lifestyle.

The problem is:

1) I have a mortgage
2) I have student loans
3) I have a wife who shuts me up every time I bring up the subject of Bitcoin.

1) + 2) +3) means I have to buy a little here and a little there slowly over time. Hopefully the price goes lower so I can jump in and grab my 7 remaining BTC and not risk the possibility of missing the boat!

After buying a bunch of miners a few months ago, I have under 50BTC for the first time in a long time.

Just sold my smaller miners on eBay though, so I'll be converting that fiat to BTC on April 15th...  Cheesy

If I only had like 3 BTC I would really thing about some aggressive Martingale Gaming Style on some Dice Site.
All or nothing!

Actually: When I had 4 BTC i managed to get up to 16 BTC but then eventually I lost all. The hard part is to know when to stop.

That sounds like sound financial advice.  Have you considered becoming a financial advisor? /s

200$/month buys you 6BTC in a year at today's rate Smiley

On a serious note, it's like asking someone what their bank balance is....

Or, perhaps more accurately, like asking a person how much they have in the way of cash or precious metals at home.

It's fun to see the these poll ranges change with time.  Anyone remember this one?

I am surprise when I see someone answering a big number because he is...putting a number on his back

If your bitcointalk account is totally anonymous, I guess it doesn't matter that much

Which wallet?
Why should I tell you?
What if I don't want to admit to being broke?
Why would someone with a large balance tell the truth?
QFT.

I have six brain wallets, try and guess how much wealth is stored in each one!

1, 10,100,1000,10000, and 100000

I would guess between 50-200 BTC, am I right?

Usually people using brainwallets have quite a lot of BTC and holding in a long term perspective

LTC at $8 was a steal also. That is almost as low as pre Nov/DEc 2013

If people bought it means people sold. The sum of all wallets only increased by the new bitcoins created
