Unemployment is one major Macro-economic problem that affects both developed and developing economies. It carries a dangerous threat that can become disastrous in the future.
A lot of eligible young adults have accumulated certification to carry out employable opportunities, and that number continues to increase posing more pressure, and also an increase in crime rate, including cyber crime, as a result of a vast number being unemployed.
Little wonder writers describe unemployment for youths as a time bomb waiting to explode.

Such an easy way out is called failed to adapt. Adapt to what, exactly? A society that requires a smaller number of workers annually, yet one that requires us all to show our value by working? The certification amassing you are explaining is the logic of a nonsensical system. We told an entire generation: get educated, get employed, get secure. They did their part. The economy didn't do its part. Now we are accusing them of taking orders that have proved to be outdated

It is not even controversial that crime is a byproduct of unemployment. Everywhere, 2008, Germany in the 1990s, and Russia in 1990s. Where lawful ways to decency are blocked, the unlawful ones become open. Cybercrime is simply the digital localization of what desperate individuals have always done

To call it a time bomb is to imply that we are awaiting something. We're not. The blast is indefinite, only gradual enough that we have grown to coexist in the blast area. Youth are not adapting to anything because there is no one thing that is coherent. The system is adjusting to the fact that it does not require them, and it is the real emergency

The government needs to do more, and the youth also need to change their mindset. The narrative that we all shared growing up – that being educated creates a better opportunity and the more educated you become, the higher the chances of escaping poverty – needs to change into trying to be industrious, and don't be hoping for fancy jobs because you are educated, but develop that mindset of being a productive youth rather than a random consumer.

The government have failed to create opportunities. They can't employ everyone, but they can make a path for greater opportunities. Since they are not doing it, the youth need to wake up and focus more on something that can help them be industrious and be employers of labour rather than waiting to be employed.

I think there's going to be a response to this at some point on the international level and I'm not sure what it's going to be. As an aging population gets older and wealthy individuals keep jobs to keep themselves active in retirement something else will probably have to give. There's a lack of opportunities across all levels for people just entering the workforce.

A lot of people look to have already turned to content creation but there's a lot of people doing what people do as jobs as side hustles for a hobby (like streaming).

Degrees went from being free, prestigious and hard to get and are now paid for and awarded in bulk. All other certifications have followed suit (apart from standardised school tests - where teacher availability and a stable and nurturing home environment become the biggest changes in attainment).

There are black markets, there are white markets and then there's the in-between (gray markets). A lot of innovation that goes into crime, is innovation that can be used by both white and gray markets, that's just not always the case. There's also the argument things like fraud and scams have a higher budget for advertising because that's all their expenses... They're not paying much to keep the "service" going when compared to a fully legitimate company.

Additionally, the legal system and laws themselves become more decisive and more complex. What might've been legal in the past no longer is and if that's shrinking the economy, it's got to find a way to adapt (I think things like banking licenses not being issued often due to insurance, reputation of modern firms and other limitations).

Unemployment is the most vital flaw that sucks the life of a citizen especially the ones with degree still looking out for jobs after many years of graduation. It sucks.

Even if the government wants to solve this problems by creating jobs, those at the top selects only their family, relatives and friends to be employed leaving vast of applications thrown away. It sucks

I guess that both suggestions can be right but in priority orders. Youths will failed to adapt until reaching mature age if governments won't try new solutions. Changing the mindset is one of the government's responsibilities through ministerial and directive mechanisms to manage the human capabilities of the youth. No government can build a productive economy or lead the country if it does not invest its capabilities in preparing the youth according to the requirements of the labor market for upcoming future stages.

What I have seen is that to combat such struggles, education is one of the key factors to uplift the youth. If they are educated, their path will surely have a different direction. They will find ways how to improve their economic status and know how to change the narrative of their life. Thus, it is better for the youth to get educated or at least acquire some form of education. These days, you can already earn certificates or finished courses online, without much expenses. So for me, the generation today is quite lucky as they can advance their degrees or their education in a cheaper and more convenient way. Remember, you can compete in the working force by equipping yourself with some weapon - and that includes skills, education and of course, experience.

These youths were taught along their childhood to behave like they are currently doing. They were raised hearing capitalism is evil, that to be an employee means slavery, and that they are entitled to have lots of rights guaranteed to them by the government. Of course in reality things don't work like that, so there is a difficult adapting themselves to the jobs market.

The solution for this problem won't come from third parties, but from a change on the mindset of those youths. They have to draw their own strategies to survive and thrive in the current market. To work for a cheap wage looks terrible, but in most cases that is what is disponible for now, so they have to go for it, with a thought in mind it's not going to be forever, but just for now.

So, step by step things start improving through investments, studies and new opportunities given by people who observe the youth working with excellence, and offer him superior jobs.

Qualifications even played a role in affirmative action. Unemployment is too high that the minorities also have to undergo screening to gain an opportunity made available for people in that group. The essence of education to all of the graduates is the feeling of getting to work after school. Having no such experience going on after the 4 years programme is frustrating, especially when a lot of them are stuck and doesn't know another way to go.

the issue stems from the youth being promised the world, but not told the reality

just check in your town/city..
pick any qualified profession and look to see how many jobs are available in a average year for that qualified role
now check the college/university class/course that teaches said subject and count the number of students that attend

if the class has 50 students, but the average job availability is only 5 a year.. you only have LESS than a 10% chance
i say less because the other 45 that didnt get a job last year are also applying with the 50 from this year meaning a 5 in 95 or 1 in 19 chance
the third year another 50 are applying with the other 90 that didnt get a job in the last1-2 years. meaning a 5 in 140 or 1 in 28 chance

many employers sometimes want the fresh-blood straight out of education that know the latest techniques introduced that year. some employers prefer more mature people that are experienced in having a boss and have some kind of experience of work etiquette so would prefer someone who has worked somewhere, anywhere for a couple years. EG shown they can folow orders and have been promoted to above a entry level role. it shows that they can achieve tasks and shows if they are a good reliable worker via having a reference. employers can even work out if you take too many sick days or other things that may weigh in on suitability even if that job was working at mcdonalds before starting their career

when the youth refuse to do any other type of work that are 'beneath them' and just lean on family to support them because they only want to work in the profession they trained in, employers may feel that the applicant is work-shy or will only do tasks the applicant wants to do, not tasks the business needs

governments cannot magic into existence new businesses, the labour market and consumer demand dictates if a business is viable in a certain area

the youth need to research before choosing a career, if that career is actually achievable in regards to the local job market. and ontop of this instead of doing just the plain normal training/course. its best to actually contact the business that needs a certain profession and just ask them, 'apart from normal degree course X, what other side courses/extra credit/side hustles will be advantageous to get them more noticed when applying later'
for instance lets say its a lawyer. finding out if the market needs more defence or prosecutors.. if the jobs market need more family law, criminal law or civil law
whereby you do extra credit courses that fit the need.
try clerking/receiptionist for a small law practice. atleast to get a reference from a law firm even if not yet qualified to be in a courtroom

there is also the failure of education. promising someone with a degree in 'holistic dance therapy' that they will easily get a managers job in a corporate office simply because they have a degree. yet are not told that class of 2025 has a 3,000 degree graduates of many courses. all fighting for managerial roles of only 150 on offer in that town that year

It's the combined problem of both the government failing the youth and the youth not adapting because although the government are supposed to provide job for her citizens but as wise and intelligent people, we're not suppose to wait on the government. Those that didn't wait have started businesses and making lots of profits already. When we keep waiting on handouts, we become lazy that when the handouts doesn't come, we become jobless and a nuisance to the society. There are lots of opportunities in the world that we can make money from without having to depend on the government and that's what we're supposed to be doing. The world is shifting from times when all you can do is traditional jobs to remote jobs hence there isn't any excuse for you being unemployed and not making money anymore.

Unemployed youths should search for other ways to make money. They can create a business and grow it by promoting so they don't just wait for the government solution. In this era, they are challenged to solve this matter where job opportunities are not plentiful. If they can not think out of the box, they will find it difficult to survive and they may not get the chance to improve themselves.

It is a work for the government to give a solution but they should think about what they can. They can not just rely on the government to provide job opportunities. The young unemployed need to have an idea to start a business and maybe they can look around the trend so they can have that idea.

Despite the government's role in providing job opportunities for the people,  I'm not the part of the people who will rely on the government for job provision. The youths should engage in various skill sets; there are digital skills to learn, tech skills, etc., What the government should do is provide access roads, stable electricity, a good road transportation system, free access to the internet, and so many more.

The unemployment problem cannot be solely blamed on young people. The government also has a significant role to play in solving this problem and providing jobs for them. After all, if there are more unproductive young people, it will also affect economic growth and increase social burdens, which will be a serious problem for a country's development. Therefore, the government has a crucial role to play in providing jobs for these young people by encouraging investment in labor-intensive sectors, providing training, and various other things that will enable them to develop their skills and adapt to the work environment.

I am not going to talk for other countries, because I don't know, I can't be in my country and see what's happening in others, so my fact is based on what I can see around me in general.

We are all talking about how there are no jobs and many are jobless even with degrees but no one talk about overpopulation, I strongly believe that this is a big problem atleast in my own country, people give birth with no common sense of thinking.

This 'no job' issue isn't starting right now, it's been so big since the Covid days and I keep seeing people that can't feed themselves three meals per day giving birth to four five kids, it doesn't take long for kids to grow into youths and adults, they will join the queue too.

For this to be effective, education should get better. There is definitely something wrong about the education system because some students end up graduating not really ready for the real life. Honestly, some people do not want to continue to pursue higher education which should be okay as long as they know what they want to do exactly. Either way, youth nowadays must take what they want and consider what they need in order to live and decide what to do with their lives.

The government needs to do more because they are not doing well to help the youth achieve their dreams after becoming a graduate by spending a lot of money and years just to get the certificate and get a good job. The government is to blame for everything that is happening to the youth in every country because if they provide work for the youths, they will not be doing something illegal to make money and provide for themselves, Although some youths fail to adapt since when there is no government work, they must find another way to support themselves.

With the way things are going and the youths are complaining about the situation in the country, it will be difficult for some people to study because it will discourage them from doing the right thing, they will think that they are wasting their time to study to get a certificate that will not help them in the future. Bad governance and corruption have turned youths into something they never wanted to be in life, and now the same government claims to be battling corruption and crimes in the country, despite the fact that they are responsible for those who commit the crimes.

Of course, governments must make greater efforts and secure more resources to employ these young people who have just graduated from university. Even young people who have not completed their education also have the right to be provided with fair job opportunities by the government.

On the other hand, I blame unemployed youth in the age of globalization, the internet, Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain. This technology has provided millions of opportunities for millions of young people around the world, enabling them to work from home or from anywhere in the world.

Therefore, there is no excuse for these unemployed youth not to develop their skills to benefit from this technological revolution instead of resorting to illegal methods.

Unfortunately many countries are still not able to pay enough for blue collar jobs, hence people only want to learn a skill for white collar jobs, which make a big gap between supply and demand in white collar jobs. If the company willing to pay enough for someone who work as a cleaner, waitress, trades etc, the unemployment rate won't become like this.

I'm sure if we compare between the younger and older people in terms of adaptation, the younger people mostly can adapt because it might be a new thing for them, so they will do as the boss command, while the older people will always compare something with their best past experience.
