Trezor Suite no longer openning advice needed

For whatever reason my Trezor Suite is no longer opening giving the error message :

 "A Java Script error occurred in the main process

Uncaught Exception:
Error : The specified module could not be found"

Then a box of other other codes beneath.

Is this fixable or does the app need deleting & re-installing?

If it needs re-installing, once its done, is it as simple as plugging the Trezor in & entering my pin and my wallet pops up.

Ive been using Trezor for 18 months but never had to re-install suite before, so just want to make sure first

It is definitely best to uninstall and reinstall it
That will likely resolve the error

And yes, when you reinstall the Trezor Suite, it's quite simple. You will reconnect the wallet with your PIN and will have access to your wallet

By the way, you also have your seed saved, right?

Thanks, yes I did make sure to write down the seed

However it’s a bit scary seeing your holding no longer accessible at least superficially anyway

I didn’t want to use the nuclear option of using the seed as I thought it would then be compromised then would need to setup a whole new wallet.

Never re-installed suite before so not sure the steps, lots of YouTube videos on setting up Trezor but nothing about  re-installing suite for existing device.

Am I correct in the following?

Correct. You can do that. You just need to type the PIN + device to access the wallet.

As for reuninstalling the app, then it should be a very straight forward process. Just go to your control panel --> Unistall programs --> Select Trezor suite and unistall it. Then download it again from the official website.

Have you tried using the web version of trezor suite to see if that can identify the problem? And tried using a different cable in case that's an issue (I thought it had been for me in the past). Reinstalling and rebooting is a good start though.

Do not download from anywhere other than the official website

To better understand, your seed is only inside your Trezor, it is not exposed to the computer, and your device is the key to accessing your wallet no matter which PC you want to use
And you won't need to enter your seed again; the program won't ask you for it

Have you reinstalled it? Try sending an email to Trezor support, reporting the problem. If you prefer not to send an email, visit the Trezor forum: https://forum.trezor.io/

If you have a screenshot of this error, you can attach it to the post. I'm sure someone from Trezor's official support team answer you. You can try this on the Trezor subreddit (beware of scammers who DM you, absolutely no one from any wallet's support team will DM you).

And if it asks you to enter the seed phrase, you've most likely reached a phishing site that will steal all your coins as soon as the seed phrase + optional passphrase are entered.

This is the main purpose of every self-respecting hardware wallet: the seed phrase is generated inside the device and should never be exposed outside of it!

Got it back now, deleted app and re-installed and it brought up my wallet without needing to plug in the device, maybe it wasn't fully deleted but the link got corrupted instead? don't know.

I checked apps in settings and its there with todays date so not sure what happened there, some sort of memory file remained in place maybe, dont have any reason to be suspicious did check was correct Trezor webpage for the download.

It is not uncommon for a program to have plugin problems, corrupted files, etc...

Trezor has a folder that is installed on your computer. If you want to check it out, here's how:
Press the Windows + R key
Then use the command: %appdata% (copy, paste and Enter)
The path will be: AppData\Roaming\@trezor

That's where the data is, and Trezor just retrieved that data again

Even if your wallet appears, you will notice that you will only be able to access your funds using the device
