As of this morning the rate was 1475 and currently it is at the rate of 1466. In the evening it might change again. Let wait and see.

Two days ago, I traded at rate 1446,  today I traded at 1467, from observations we may not go lower than 1400 that's my speculation for this rate change. From the look of things, the rate might increase above 1500 (1600 or 1700).

How often will you be updating this thread, daily or when ever the rate changes?

I remember when rate was trading at 1900, how the rate fell and yet prices did not come down, quite obvious that rate fall don't benefit final consumers, what goes up do not come down.

Yesterday I traded mine with 1436 and someone told me that this morning the exchange rate hit 1475. I think this thread is good one wey go help us know the current price daily if di op e dey active to update am. You dey suspect 1400 at di end of the year but I dey predict 1300 and di price e no go go home above 1500 again dis year and it will hit dat price wey you dey talk after di election.
In Tinubu second tenure im go like to make dollar high to sell off di ones wey him don package in dis first tenure.

In Nigeria price of goods will never go down,even if dollar rate go down to 100k. Our marketers are greedy and not reliable, they just want to make more gain nothing more.  When citizens or the government celebrate the fall of dollar to naira, I just look at them as ignorant people, because price of things are still on the rise.

Dollar rate, will still move abouve #1500 before December, traders we will start buying goods and services they will sell in December and January, the rate will definitely goes up. We still buy and exchange in dollar, I don't panic with the current rate.

As the Naira/dollar exchange rate is dropping, I don't know how that is affecting the prices of things in the market because when it is going up, it is usually seen as excuse for prices of things to skyrocket. Fuel price still remain where it has always been, cement and other commodities still remain where they are, now the question is, why have we been blaming exchange rate for the high cost of things? I think the government need to be intentional about price regulation to avoid the exploitation that is happening now.

Who will bring down the price of his goods and services because the dollar rate is reducing, you cannot find it anywhere, if it's a sole proprietorship business, it's harder to buy goods at reduced price, even if the price is reduced, it won't be announced, they will keep it secret and still sell at the the current price.

The only company that actually reduced prices when dollar rate falls are the fueling companies, right now the price per liter of fuel is reduced because of the rate.

I also saw how it has been a #1475 earlier this morning before falling and now as at the time of making this post, it is #1,474 and it may continue to rise any moment from now, the weekend usually comes with a gradual performance below expectations while the set of a new week may spark the reason to push it high the more if the demands increases, I don't seems to believe that this fall is not being masterminded by our leaders.

Aha guy you have been scammed by bitget vendors. Those people are bastard dem dey negotiate up and down and their price or rate is very poor. Since when I noticed that dem no good, na so I leave them and di one I dey use now na Remitano majorly and bybit alternatively.

This depends on exchange they are using, I have never sold below 1476 since the price started declining. Although as for yesterday from the images it could be true because price are seriously declining, I mean NGN gaining strength over the USD. Currently checking from bybit the price is at 1472/$, so I didn’t think it was traded on bybit otherwise I am suspecting bitget.

Whatever p2p that you're using, they're stealing your money and manipulating the rates to their selfish interests and you people are falling for it - it doesn't matter what platform you're trading it the black market as of yesterday when you made this trade was above 1,450. We may never see the Naira gain or see Dollar clash below 1,400 till the end of this year.

My prediction is by next week we'd see 1,500- 1,520.

It was not a scam. The rate fell to 1425 I think 2 days ago, but it abruptly increased back to 1450 within short period of time. Later it fell a little to $1446 and later rose above 1450 and now around 1473/1478.

In history, abruptly drop in price like how it dropped to 1425 has always been followed by abrupt increase, even if it will not increase to the price it is falling from. Some traders use it as an opportunity to make money in trading.

It was not a scam. The rate fell to 1425 I think 2 days ago, but it abruptly increased back to 1450 within short period of time. Later it fell a little to $1446 and later rose above 1450 and now around 1473/1478.

I don't understand how he fell into such trade because I still know that when you want to sell by p2p, it is advisable to search for a higher buyer.... you can change the amount and sell to only higher buyer by searching for let's say 100k limit. Higher buyers of high USD quantity also tend to buy at higher prices. It pains to sell your assets in such a cheap price and loss. Bitget could be funny and I don't like that exchange. You should get back to your bybit, it's more reliable when it comes to p2p transactions.

A friend if mine told me this days ago about the exchange rate getting to 1375 and I was surprised how fast naira appreciated. Unfortunately for him I was busy to check for him on bybit. When I later confirmed the rate it was obviously a scam carried out by vendors on bitget.
The exchange rate is still above 1450 and I don't see why some people will be so wicked to take advantage of every single price change. Well Im not surprised because we are in a country where the government can't even get a hang of their own currency. Let's try to confirm the rate well before trading with any vendor. Bitget na one of di exchange dat full with cheaters. I have used many exchanges in Nigeria cryptocurrency space and all bitget na di worst I don see. Some na because their prices e dey low nai make I no dey use am but bitget own, di price e dey low and upon dat low price dem still dey price you join.

Man, how did you end up with such a trade as selling your bitcoin at such a ridiculous price? Definitely dollar has been dropping rapidly against the naira but it's hasnt dropped to the level of 1,3++ naira per dollar, I sold and converted some usdt to naira on monday, and did again on Wednesday, I've not had any trade that was below #1460 per dollar, the person who bought those bitcoins from you clearly duped you man.

It is often said that "when mugu fall, guy man go chop", pretend to be the mugu now but ensure this is the last, dokt ever make this type of mistake again bud.
When wanting to convert some crypto to naira, it's best to first convert to usdt if you arent sure what the exchange rate of that crypto is to naira, this is to avoid confusion, then take your time and search for the best price in the market, maybe cost you some time but it's usually worth it.

You're very correct @Igebotz about the influence of Black marketers. I fell into their hands sometimes last week when dollar was at 1481. I wanted to trade and discovered that the were buying at 1455. I was surprised because I know it shouldn't go below 1476 or within that range when dollar is at 1481. Even to I had to trade because I needed it urgently but I didn't trade the exact amount of USDT I initially planned to trade. Moments later I checked back and the price has normalised.

I believe that the black marketer's during a period of sharp drop of price, they set their own prices very low expecting the price to fall further thereby scamming people of their hard earned money.

I will advise you to always check the dollar price daily and even before checking your exchange for a P2P transactions. When you first confirm the current price, it will help you to choose your selling price better or postpone if it is not favourable.
