Is GptHFT a HYIP?

I previously had a client who wanted to run a signature campaign for this platform (GptHFT.COM). The client doesn't own the platform; he just wants to promote his referral link through the sig-campaign.

I'm quite hesitant to run it since, to me, it looks like a HYIP (High Yield Investment Platform).
The platform promises around 60% ROI in just a month from purchasing a "node" that does arbitrage trading, which supposedly uses AI.
The platform also suggested that they earn via commissions from the trades made by these nodes.

The client stated that he doesn't think it's HYIP since he also has losses from the nodes he purchased.

70 days old website, climbing ridiculous earnings, which always prompts the question..
If they manage 60% in a month, they would be doing 16x in 6 months, so if they had $4k they would make a million in a year and a quarter billion next year, what would be the point of selling this to others?

Despite the ridiculous return percentage and how recent the website was created, on first glance when you click on the link it looks so poorly done. I would not be surprised if there are many such similar sites which already exist or will pop up as some get taken down.

I will also be surprised if they said anything different. This could very well be the owner of the site trying to promote it while not claiming ownership.

That is true. I know that it is not a problem but I do not like to accept cookies. It is mostly a problem for me while using mobile phone to access a site, the computer screen is large in a way that I still make use of most sites without accepting nor rejecting the cookies. There are some sites that I can reject it also and which I prefer. I do not like a site to store any information on my browser.

It is a HYIP... perhaps even a complete scam right from the word go. If it was that easy to make money, everyone would be talking about the website by now.

By the way, part of the name HFT in trading means High Frequency Trading used by markets experts to trade spot and Features markets using very fast and sophisticated computers and servers. It has nothing to do with GPT

Too good to be true, this is how HYIPs look and work. They enticed their investors with fake statistics and promises, and ultimately lost all their investment.

You did the right thing by not accepting the offer; it would have harmed both your reputation and the community. This forum is not a HYIP-related platform for promoting this kind of platform.

I hope you're aware that you are automatically accepting and using cookies on bitcointalk just to be logged in.

Due to EU laws, most websites need to ask for your cookies preferences. When you accept "essential cookies", that's just what the website will use anyways to work with login sessions (just like bitcointalk). If you don't want analytics and marketing cookies, just don't accept it (that's why there is a toggle for both options). For the essential ones it's either that or the website doesn't work.

This looks too good to be true. Naturally it triggers a suspicion/hesitation, whether this is actually true.

If doubling money were that easy, just in 45 days, then I wouldn't be poor I guess. The way they are showing these numbers, it feels as if they have the technology to print unlimited money! Duh!

By saying he doesn't own the platform that point is suspicious already. Since no one would provably run a campaign by promoting he's link since he provably won't get huge return quickly and he might lose some money.

Maybe he's just trying to deceive and use you to spread their platform. So better stay away and don't help those potential scam to deceive people here.

Your clients provably lying and by looking at that model its really like a hyip or ponzi scheme.

Thank you. I've already informed the client that I won't be running the campaign intended for this platform prior to posting this thread. I guess my judgment was right.

Yeah. I was really hesitant in accepting his offer to run the campaign for this platform, regardless of whether that client trully owned it or not. Glad I turned it down.

I guess one good thing that came out of this is that, now, when you Google "GptHFT HYIP?" this thread pops up. I'd hope this way, possible sign-ups to the platform would be halted when they've read the contents of this thread.

If you're cashing out, post your dashboard earnings along with a screenshot of your deposits and withdrawals. It's an HYIP for me, compared to a casino; its lifespan is short and will eventually shut down once it cannot keep up paying its investors.

I’m not going to argue with someone who seriously believes that hyips and casinos are two completely different things. In a casino, everyone loses, and the few winners profit from other users’ deposits. Sound familiar? 

Posting screenshots of deposits and withdrawals would be actual shilling. I’m not going to publicly share my wallet activity. If I wanted to promote something, I would have dropped a reflink. But that wasn’t the case here.

A casino does not promise you 60% ROI in a month. A casino is not an investment platform were you make 'returns on investment', apples and oranges. The moment you decide to fund a casino account and gamble, you ought to understand that you can lose all your money, or you can win something. I mean, who does not know that. The difference is that HYIP's make unrealistic promises and people fall for it.

It's good for you that you're in profit. Enjoy while it lasts. But telling that casinos and HYIP's is same thing shows your total ignorance about how things works. Casino's doesn't promises you huge returns and it's not even investment platform that works like pyramid. HYIP will disappear one day with investors money, it's only matter of time. That's not case with casinos.

When it's too good to be true, it's likely that it will collapse soon. The promised returns are very high and that's one of the signs that a platform is going that route.

Every bull run, they come out because many newbies are also thinking that these schemes are part of cryptos and how people make money in it which is wrong.

Good to see you reject his offer. This is just a pure scam; it's just a Ponzi scheme at all. The person who wants to promote him is lying to you. He just wants to promote his affiliate link and bring more users. So he would get his investment return or make more money. His intention is just to get users from the forum; just forget about what they promised. Do you think it's normal to get about a 60% return in a month?

From the trading, no one can even guarantee the profits. So 60% is too far; even traders would lose funds. This is all just drama; I will say it's just a node drama to draw attention from investors. But you have taken the right decision by rejecting them. We don't know if the owner wants to promote it; he's just using an affiliate to save him and say, 'I am just an investor' to convince you.
