Hi everyone,
I try to explain my issue, i have downloaded bitcoin core wallet back in 2013 (old first version) and had some little bitcoin on it. now i synchronised all the blokchains totally but i can't see my balance so i downloaded the latest version and let it synchronise again and i replaced old first wallet.dat file with the new one and still can't see my balance. What am i doing wrong? or is there any chance someone stole my wallet.dat file? and i have the password of it so is it possible if someone steel my wallet.dat file they can use it without the password? I hope someone can help me
btw i live in amsterdam if there is any community i can join id love to know Thank you already.

1) How do you know that you still have balance? Just because you had it ages ago that does not mean that you didn't spend it. Human memory is very unreliable and faulty. 2) If you can access the wallet.dat then you should be able to see the addresses easily. You can verify their balances and transaction history 1 by 1 using any blockchain explorer. https://blockstream.info/. Only if one of the addresses has a balance according to blockchain explorers would it be worthwhile to investigate why your balance is not showing. 3) If someone stole an encrypted wallet.dat they are not able to steal the funds from it without the password. 4) What is the point of your poll? i replaced old first wallet.dat file with the new one and still can't see my balance.
This does not sound correct in any case. Why would you replace your old wallet.dat with a new one and expect to find the old balances in the new wallet?

Are you sure you had Bitcoin? I've seen several cases in which an old wallet.dat was created for Dogecoin or Litecoin, which would explain why your wallet is empty on the Bitcoin chain.

I know exactly how much my balance was last time i check 4,264 it was in 2020 before the new version. i never spend it because i had lost the password which i created in 2013.
i can acces the address and i check it and its stil 4,264 fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d
my point of this poll is if there is any way i can see my balance again of can i use any other wallet to let it appear there. and if there are ppl from holland where i can go and get some help and i would pay of course.
i also have litecoin core wallet and dogecoin core wallet and i don't have the password to them anymore

Do not meet up people in real life for this. Many people would kill for this amount of money. If your story is fully true, you can receive help here remotely. To confirm 1 more time. You have found this address by opening Bitcoin Core? You are fully synchronized, see the address in your address list (receiving side) but your balance shows as zero? Uploading images could also help. https://www.talkimg.com/
There are several ways to approach this but the easiest and fastest would probably be to export the private key of this address and import it in Electrum. DO NOT POST THE PRIVATE KEY HERE, SHARE IT TO ANYONE OR OTHERWISE MAKE IT VISIBLE to others. Here are the steps. Download Electrum or any other wallet of your preference like Sparrow and import the private key. Download link as linked by Wikipedia: https://electrum.org/

honestly thank you for explaining so much but i don't think i can do this on my own since iam not very good at computers.
This is why I am recommending that we do not try to fix your Bitcoin Core installation if there is a problem with that. We are just bypassing it and trying to get the private keys. ChatGPT or other translation tools should help us get the job done! i made a screenshot tell me what you think plz?
The data on the screenshot does not match this: fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d. However, you are on the main screen and from there we can navigate you to the right parts to get your situation resolved. 1) Go into Transacties and copy the transaction ID from the last 3 transactions and post it here. 2) Go into Ontvangen and look for the address 14ANJao9ythLredgn2xGEJvXDPTpNgiDGR. Do you see it there? If you can't find it there, where did you find this address and transaction hash fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d?

I'm guessing this is your Bitcoin address then? 14ANJao9ythLredgn2xGEJvXDPTpNgiDGR It holds: 4.26467792 BTC If you just want a watch only wallet, import that above address into wallet software like electrum. Not that I can help you with this, but do you have any idea what your password was? Even the password length or what it could've been. There's a way to extract a hash from your wallet that you can send for a service you've paid to try to crack it if you know what your password could've been. It's then possible to use software like btcrecover to extract the encrypted hash in your wallet: https://btcrecover.readthedocs.io/en/latest/Extract_Scripts/#usage-for-bitcoin-coreIt's worth doing this offline, yourself. It's definitely worth learning how to do it yourself than giving it to someone else who might take your funds. Disclaimer: I found that link on Reddit and I'm just assuming it's trustworthy. I think it's linked to on the bitcoin wiki and a few other places which may be safer sources to download from.

The addresses you have (I think) are what is in the label column in that third screenshot.
The identifier you have beginning with an f is a transaction ID which is just an identification number of your last transaction (presumably).

This address fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d i got from my old email inbox
That is the issue then. We need to verify whether this address is part of one of the wallets. It is possible that it is not and that would explain why your balance is 0. It is very possible that you have sent it somewhere else entirely. My bad, this is not the location of the list of addresses. You need to go to File > Receiving Addresses, but I don't know how you access this menu on Mac. From this screen Transacties, click on one of the transactions and copy the address or better the transaction ID. i hope i didnt damaged the files or something and i must tell you couple years ago someone tried to help me brutforce finding my password but through teamviewing but i didnt helped but this years i just remembered my password and changed it.
Was this a known and trusted friend or somebody random from the internet? The addresses you have (I think) are what is in the label column in that third screenshot.
I tried to check them by explorer but they turn up empty for me, they don't even have transaction history. Perhaps I am mistyping. Did you have any luck?

According to mempool.space, those addresses don't exist when I type them in their search field. I'll check my own list, but that takes a while to extract. This address fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d i got from my old email inbox Your email doesn't mean anything if it's not in your wallet. i hope i didnt damaged the files Did you not make several backups before working on this file?

This address fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d i got from my old email inbox I don't believe this is a true wallet and therefore likely a fake one. I also checked history of public address 1GKs7H35hnR6GPYtJ61RPePkrzbKWbt3UR and mempool.space doesn't show any transaction involving this address. Same result as Satofan44 reported, empty history. It's not likely to have a typo in the address and still get a valid checksum and I probably tripple checked above address. I introduced a typo and as expected the public address verifier complains as it should if done properly: This address fc267e29602789ae5a3a72d5a69490d0962aebe96ac639b41698f584f904486d i got from my old email inbox
And what makes you think this transaction has anything to do with "your wallet"? This is a transaction ID or hash for this transaction confirmed on 2014-01-01 16:32:17 UTC. As others already have said the single output of this transaction holds still 4.26467792 BTC in public address 14ANJao9ythLredgn2xGEJvXDPTpNgiDGR. Backtracking a few transactions doesn't show any of the addresses in above screenshots, so I wonder what they might have in common, if at all. Quoted to make screenshots visible. You don't need the Core wallet password to properly sync a wallet. You only need the encryption password if you need to decrypt your private keys e.g. to sign a transaction with them. These seem to be unconfirmed transactions which likely never touched the mempool, at least this is what I read from the transaction details in the screenshots.

As I guessed before: this is a Litecoin transaction. Try loading (a backup of) that wallet.dat in Litecoin Core. There's still 99.9781 LTC / 11,880.39 USD on that address. i also have litecoin core wallet and dogecoin core wallet and i don't have the password to them anymore So is this wallet locked with a password, or do you have €10k in Litecoin to spend now?

You don't need the Core wallet password to properly sync a wallet. You only need the encryption password if you need to decrypt your private keys e.g. to sign a transaction with them.
How did you come across this wallet OP? Do you remember using it back in 2014? There is a known thing where people sell encrypted wallets and remove the keys (often used for cosmetics, to scam, or to show off funds). Is there a chance that's what's happened here? I've not seen addresses be changed in the past and still return the same thing though. Aside from that is it possible you've used multiple wallets?

i also have dogecoin and lite coins as i said before but i don't have the password of them I think you're missing the point: the TXID from your screenshot exists on the Litecoin network. That means it can't be a Bitcoin transaction.

Well, loading a Litecoin wallet.dat into Bitcoin Core neatly explains why the transactions appear in grey and of course unconfirmed with amount in square brackets in the "Transactions" listing or the "Overview". Naturally such a "wrong" blockchain and coin wallet will sync with zero balance on BTC mainnet.
Keerook, how and why did you mess up your wallets so badly? I hope for you, you haven't overwritten important wallet files.
