The question for me is if we are going to rocket through $100 or if traders will view that as time to sell… I think most silver bugs are dumping their stashes, but demand from governments seems to be off the charts still.

Just a few steps away to reach $100, it is very possible to get with this rate of increase, but to see the opportunity of $110+ I feel very doubtful and my hand is targeting the selling price which is still below $100 today, no matter the country's demand is still strong, I don't think they will also eat excessive bait after we see such a rapid increase, as if the hype scheme is printed on purpose, their institutions or countries will definitely not rush to take that step, so making a decision before they withdraw from the market is the choice I will take, greedy traders will force themselves not to sell seeing the market like this.

What do you think will happen first… Silver to $100 or Gold to $5,000?

It feels like both are destined to happen and probably before the end of the month. I think gold is closer on a % basis, so that’ll probably get there first.

Edit: Both metals dumped hard today. Was that the top?

Personally, I believe that demand from different Central Banks around the globe for Gold is REAL. But the demand for Silver, and Copper? I believe it's merely Market Euphoria for those assets because of Gold's surge.

BUT like other Market Euphorias such as the Tulip Mania, you're right to ask - "Is Silver going to rocket through $100"?

China is paying $11 over spot for silver right now. The highest disparity from western prices ever.  It makes me wonder how long this appetite for silver is going to last. Is this supply shortage the real deal, or are we just seeing bank short positions begin to unwind towards reality?

I feel like solar and battery demand is going to continue to increase. I also think silver is a little overheated from the sudden rise. I guess I’m growing bearish short term while remaining bullish long term. Not too different from my thoughts on Bitcoin currently.

Silver rose more than 200% in less than a year. So it's bound for a huge correction soon. "What goes around, comes around". The hype will persist for a while, as new investors ramp up demand for Silver due to FOMO. I mean, come on, how is Solar, Battery, and AI demand going to drive Silver prices all the way to the moon in an instant? Something doesn't add up.

In my personal opinion, the massive correction in Silver will come when Gold's surge stops. There might be fundamentals behind Silver's surge except that there's a "Metals Mania" narrative currently happening. If Gold is Bitcoin, then Silver is an altcoin?

Gold has ACTUAL demand coming from the Central Banks around the globe. In my personal opinion, Silver is going through a Market Mania because Gold is surging.

I voted $100+ because obviously the price will go there soon. Will it stay there or will it rise even higher, is a big question because even though demand will surely be growing due to usage of silver in power electronics(solar panels included), we can never be sure about the supply, which can suddenly increase silver after discovering some deposits in Greenland or elsewhere(Moon?).

I was hoping I said 100 on the 1st page of the thread but 3rd page is pretty weak, no cookie for me    Silver has been pretty strong the whole time, whats the largest sell off been because 40% is a proper sell off in commodities and even then it can be bullish.

However that kind of pullback which by commodity terms is shallow

So the lows should give the best clue and also I'm watching gold strength for a more solid indication even if indirectly I would believe that if gold was indicating lower then silver also will sell  off short to medium term.

Longer term I have little fear as mostly I favor the miners over physical and certainly they are alot easier to trade, too tempting to sell often.  I have seen some calls for a top, best video I watched was talking about the largest demand being solar panels but that market was now topping out.   Producers are also looking to find alternatives to silver for solar production but on an elemental basis that will be hard to do I think, about 20 grams of silver used in a 20kg panel.

Dollar index, trillions in worth was down near 1% today.   Fears are misplaced and have been for years, commodities move like a bull whip in their dynamic which results in surprising speed and energy eventually.

That's one of the harder questions to answer. There are no pre-defined Bull/Bear Cycles for Silver like Bitcoin's Four-Year-Cycle. But what is absolute is, if there's a strong surge, there's also a stronger crash. I believe that Gold will decide when Silver's surge will end.

Yeah, I see it's almost $120 already. Well, I've always thought gold was overpriced against silver. Silver should be 15-20 times cheaper than gold but not 50 times cheaper. So, I still expect a high rise from the current price because currently silver is $3,750 per kilo and gold is $180,000. I think, around $9,000 per kilo can be easily expected. (I must say, I’m not an expert in this field. These are just my speculations).

$120… I’m very curious to see if this is just another bubble in precious metals or if this is the crash of fiat currencies for real this time. I tend to lean towards the former, but until the dollar stops dropping and begins it’s rise, metals will keep running.

I think we could get as high as $80, but will probably stop around $65. I do believe silver hits $200 before 2040.

In all the decades that have passed, I think this is the first time we’ve seen such an intense rally in the price of Silver. It seems to be moving in tandem with the rally in Gold, which, for the first time in history, has reached $5,510 if I’m not mistaken.

That is why, in my opinion, no one can really determine just how high Silver can go during these times. I suspect that once we see a drop in the price of Gold, the price of Silver might
start to decline as well. That’s just my personal take on the matter.

Many type of investors are coming in the market of Silver because they are thinking that silver is gold at that time because before few years there was same Kind of situation of gold and we saw threat by USA And we saw high price increase of commodities and now people are Investing in silver and that is reason silver is present at 120 dollars and people are greedy and they will think that market will go up more. Silver is best investment at that time and kids can also invest in that because there is no loss in that and if people will Invest for a year they will get high profit and they can generate huge amount of money. The people who will invest at that time they could be in low profit because many big investors are taking exit and I think price will be settle at 100$ or less and many people made profit and now that is time to take exit and wait for that time when there will be dip in the market.

I thought precious metals had topped with the profit taking but with silver back above $50 it seems like the gold and silver bugs are trying to run again. I think it is definitely too late to enter this trade and have been selling silver (at spot price) as a result. We may go higher, but I feel like we will definitely go lower…

logically it should top 100 but it likely will not.

I sold them all every one for more than 100oz an oz.

I am basically out of all the silver 10 kilos all gone I got about 2.3k a kilo.  Since my bays sales began in mid December and ended on Monday.

we got to 120 and dropped to 103 and got to 118 and dropped to 107 we are now around 115

so two big dumps since Monday. but it came back both times.

This is new for all of us. in terms of market cap and ease of selling it.

I did make money as a 20 year old back when the hunts bros pumped it.but selling it was very hard.

it is easy to sell its now. my Ebay sales of silver were 42 sales at about 27k

were from dec 18th until Jan 26th

28300 with 4000 in fees shipping and insurance.

a decent score for me.

As for what will it drop to?

well what will it peak at. 125 150 200

if we peak at 125 we will drop to 87
if we peak at 150 we will drop to 97
if we peak at 200 we will drop to 111

personally we had two big dumps in the last three days so I think it will tank soon.
