Dealing With Broken image (imgur) without running a script

like the title stated. Broken images from imgur.
There are images that were posted in the past especially to educate that hasn't been updated
And been curious what was posted before.

Long story short, I'd like to share what I use now. Nothing mind blowing but not without its challenge.

I make use of the forum Altcointalks.

First, quote the image you planning on checking and copy the URL
 
Second paste in Altcointalks like you making a thread or replying

Thirdly, Click on preview and your image arrives. You can choose to re-download and upload via Talklmg if you want to.

Challenges? Cloudflare when accessing the site , slower while using Tor.

Why is it working there and not on Bitcointalk?

It looks like imgur is no longer blocking the image proxy. I didn't change anything on the forum's end, so imgur must've loosened up their limits. I guess it's not necessary to convert img images into links as long as imgur keeps working. But to prevent this from happening again, you'll get an error if you try to embed imgur images in posts from now on.

It's not a bad idea though, but the cloudfare issue on the Altcointalks forum would make it difficult for users to want to try this. Some might just still prefer using the scripts already created instead of trying to go all the way to the other forum and registering a new account aside from those who already has an account over there.

It is because you have not tried it. If you try it, you will like it. No stress of downloading the image and reuploading it but the extension will save you time and it is super easy.

You do not need to use Altcoinstalks for it, you can just copy the link and reupload it on Imgur directly, you will see the image and be able to save it on your device.

I doubt. I don't really like engaging or relying on what I don't know much about
Extensions despite their convenience haven't really ticked mY button.

It has option for links. If you do not see it, maybe you should try the desktop mode on your mobile browser if mobile browser is not showing it.

It's a creative fix if you ask me and I'm basically out here imagining how you were able to come up with this. It's actually gonna take a decent amount of effort to update basically every of those important threads but again the biggest set back is a majority of those users are basically inactive on the forum and as such mods would either have to make changes.
Alternatively someone could take the time to fix as many as he can probably make it as a reply in the saud threads so admins can just copy and paste.

But I realised it would take alot of effort and time. Maybe I would when I'm free

Signing a message and stake it is quite easy and you actually don't need to add image of your screenshot. Most people attached images in their posts when staking an address, signing or verifying a message but it's not mandatory.

In fact, with a public address, everyone can verify whether it's true, accurate or not accurate. You can post a fake image but the others can easily verify that it is untrue.

It's easy to learn how to sign and stake an address.

How to sign a message?! I remember that one user made a copy of this thread with fixed broken images, not sure what it is.

I'm a bit of a traditional person so I don't bother much on how to resolve the broken images, since I'm mostly browsing from a mobile device and when I see it to be very educative, I will just have to reserve it for later and use my desktop to browser then copy every link that is broken to Imgur site and open them. that's more local than extensions.


Additionally, Amphenomenon and _act_ basically pointed almost same thing but in different patterns.
