Most times we're the cause of our problems in cases like this because once we begin to earn money probably there's an increase to our incomes, we don't maintain our previous standard lifestyle or stick to the responsibilities that'd enable us meet their needs and also be able to make some savings.

I have only one thing to say since I am not experienced in things like this. What I have to say is that your family should know how much you earn and how you spend your money a month. It may seem like nothing, but this would help. They may see you working and always wondering how your money is never enough, but if the whole household knows how much you earn and how much you spend each month, they will understand and also cut down on their expenses.
A lot of men don't let their household know how much they earn, but as a family, I think they should know. This way, it's easier to convince them to cut down on certain expenses or be patient when they need something.

You have a few options. You either increase your income by starting a business or getting a side hustle or you seek other options to finance your child's education.

I don't know how old your child is,  but children who are less than five years old can be homeschooled. At this age, they don't engage in many academic activities that cannot be learned at home. If your wife or any other relatives have a sound educational background, your child can be homeschooled until you upgrade your income. Alternatively you could look for a cheaper school.

I mean, this was all in your plans and preparation at least months in advance, right? By the time it arrived, everything should have been partially under control because you've already started first. You may need a more specific solution depending on where you live. There will be a way for you to balance your finances. Mostly wife can manage finances better than a husband. If necessary, both husband and wife will take part time jobs to fill their needs and have more sources of income.

As a man, it is constant that we get a lot of responsibilities on our shoulder that keeps on growing every now and then. there is nothing you can do about it but there are ways that you can make plans such that as your responsibility grows, you can equally grow with it. as you earn, reinvest into things that makes you better positioned financially. depending on salary alone can not take you so far as long as the issue of finance is concerned so as much as you are earning, it is expected that you are also investing your income into other areas that will lead to further increase in your income.

even if you are an high income earner, the place of doing proper investment can not be over emphasized. for you to effectively balance your income and expenses, you have to learn the art of budgeting, effective spending, investing and getting yourself constantly relevant such that you can easily cease any opportunity that comes your way.

Seek support from relatives, Churches and/or support groups like so called Non Profit organizations. But if it's a shameful thing to do or for whatever reason you don't think it will be that easy for you to do, then homeschool them both online and offline. There are lots of knowledge resources for children that can be found online. You could find ways to align them with your country's school curriculum for your children education level, and probably also use the country's school timetables. The mother or elder should guide them through the online classes when they need help. A suitable online class should have clear and repeated video and audio tutorial for kids, with tests and exams.
Now a time would come when it becomes abit difficult to move your kids to higher classes in conventional schools or to work in companies as adults, if they did not go through approved schools with required certifications, but they could easily scale through that part if they are brighter than the standard set by the schools. This is why it's important to focus on good and adequate knowledge for them rather than putting them through conventional school system.

I personally prefer to homeschool my kids with good/sound knowledge that will be way better than what they could learn from worldly schools. It's the kind of knowledge that makes people good quality leaders in all aspects of life. .

There is no other solution with that problem LDL but to keep on looking for ways to increase your income. Because if you remain on that amount of income monthly, you'll struggle with the same problem the next month. But if you ever find another side hustle that increases your income, that helps you to go through with that problem and something might happen by the next month and you'll feel the changes when you've got a higher income compared to the last months. It's hard to do that in your situation but it's all what it takes for you to solve it.

Situations like this are not too difficult if you want to tell yourself the truth, if you are a low income earner, there are some provinces that you are supposed to stay, the schools in those areas and transportation and feeding are still a bit relatively cheap for your affordability, you can relocate your family to those areas and go to visit them once or twice every week, depending when you find another job that pays higher, then you bring them back. What I've learnt over the years is that, every city and every country in the world, has decent areas you can afford depending on the kind of salary you earn.
