But if you are serious about it and will not mind parting ways with a few amount of BTC, you should go for the Copper Membership has suggested in the first reply of this thread. Better still, you can be active on the forum with quality posting. Before you know it, you will have the activities and merits needed. I will encourage the later since it comes with knowing more about cryptocurrency as your extra gain of being active on this forum.

It's not too painful as it is a forum rule and also there is an indirect alternative way.

If it is for joining an art contest, OP can leave links to images and other forum members can help him by quoting his post. Then those attached images will be displayed. On his original post, images will be only shown after he has at least 30 activity points and 1 merit for being a Junior member.

Newbies can't post images due to avoid unnecessary spam from the forum. If immediately after joining the forum you need to make a post with images, then you have to purchase copper membership, as Vod already suggested the links. Otherwise you have to gain merits for the next rank, where you will be eligible to post with an image.

I am curious what kind of talent you are going to show. Just by posting your art on the forum? It's Bitcointalk, not Artcointalk at all. We post images where really necessary. If you really have talent, then you are supposed to earn merits till you join, earning one merit shouldn't hard for a talented user.

Newbies who do not have merits can give links to image hosts. You can tell us where to look at the art without images being in your post. Which artist are you. Do you want to sell your art for Bitcoin or make Bitcoin crypto art? If you want to sell art there are dedicated websites which you can use.

This is the second Newbie that has created a post on the Meta board looking for merit in other to create an art work and share on the forum. What I dont understand is that, since they are aware they dont have the requirement to do so, why do they have to create the topic asking about something they already know?

Yes, that's the challenge for beginners who have just come to this forum, the rules have stated all that, unless you do as @Little said but rarely beginners want to do that, unless the beginner wants to do advertising business here.

OP, you will get an image, but you have to go through the existing rules, I think if you really try to do it your chance to attach an image that doesn't take long.

But I see you have 16 posts, you should have the talent to get Merit, in fact that's not the case, politics, gambling will slow you down from reaching a good level, work on your talent so you can easily achieve your dreams so you can post your picture.

You are an artist, think like one, be creative with words in a way it impacts.

You're yet to even meet the 30 posts required by default from the the forum. Your current amount of posts is 16 why not make good use of the numbers left in sharing quality posts that impacts a forum users, perhaps before your post amount gets to 30 you would have being rewarded a merit from a user.

Based on your knowledge of the requirement, it takes a newbie to post pictures and other posting restrictions. I believe you're already aware of the reason behind newbie's unable to post a picture, and your posting on here to complain about it won't change anything cause the rules are written in stone on this forum.
You said you want to showcase yourself here. Is posting a Google spam search link the way you want to showcase your talent?

If you really want to showcase your talent, you can buy a coppermembership to bypass the restriction. To be honest, I'm not sure what the point of this thread is(no offense).

You just made 16 post already on the forum, which means all what is left is an extra 14 posts more to be qualified for the 30 post minimum requirements for a Jr.Member account just as you started above. While you struggle hard to earn your first merit. But however, if you wish for a quicker means of having access to post images on the forum, then it's advisable to buy a copper account, which usually cost 0.00025 BTC and valued at approximately $31, which is quite affordable. Moreover, Roobet Casino usually organize a monthly art contest on the "Service" board, of which you can give it a try if you want to.

Now you already know what to do to be able to post pictures as a newbie. If you don't want to buy copper membership, you should just be patient and focus on delivering quality  posts here; you will earn merits naturally when people find your posts usefu. Do not try to spam this forum to arrive at 30 posts and then merit farming for you to be able to share your artwork here.

If you have any question regarding showcasing your talent, you should not hesitate to ask questions to get proper guidance on how to go about it.

Two things required of you to decide on which path to take, will you learn to contribute by making some interesting and informative posts that could draw someone's attention to giving you one, because as a newbie, acheive to earn the first merit shouldn't be that difficult if you can contribute with quality post, alternatively is to what some have already advised you, that you may have to acquire a copper membership rank, now the choice is yours, decide on what best suit your desire, but if I were you, I will rather learn to know how I could earn merits by making quality contents before then.

Nothing hinders you to post images with [img]<link to hosted image>[/img] tags, it's just that your images are not embedded visible in your posts while your rank hasn't reached Jr. Member. As long as your rank is insufficient, your embedded images only appear as links, but when other sufficiently ranked members cite your images, they're shown in all their glory.

So users should post from the beginning their images with proper [img]<link to hosted image>[/img] tags, because once they reach sufficient rank, all their embedded images are fully visible.

philipma1957 gave you the minimum required merit point for Jr. Member rank, now just achieve at least 30 Activity (or buy a Copper membership as someone already suggested).

Use preferably https://talkimg.com to host your images and not some crappy other image hoster who might clash with forum's image proxy.

This forum has its own rules to combat spam. Just imagine, if there were no such rules, many newbies would swarm the forum with their unnecessary spam images, and it would make the forum messy. Can't imagine that.

If you want to post an image, just follow these rules. After all, you've just earned merit, and you should be able to post images here.
