There are many wallets that let you connect to their Tor which they have on the wallet but I do not believe in it. I prefer to connect to Tor instead in a way that if the wallet does not connect to the Tor, it will not work.

But many bitcoin wallets nowadays have Tor comes with them. Do you trust it? I do not think I can trust it than connecting to the Tor provided by the Tor project.

Is the Tor that comes with the wallets are also from the nonprofit organization Tor Project?

Which wallets are you talking about in specific?

AFAIK, you have wallets like bitcoin core and electrum, which are open source and for whom you'd have to run the tor daemon yourself and just use the exposed port 9050 by the daemon as a proxy inside your wallet settings, so you can be almost completely sure you're actually using tor.
Then there are wallets that are open source and trusted, i personally think that (even without manually verifying the code), you can be fairly certain your connection gets routed trough tor.

As for closed source or new wallets... IF the wallet dev is honest, there's not really a good reason to claim your wallet connects over tor without actually connecting... But if a dev is dishonest, who knows??? He might say he's routing connections trough tor but secretly he can be monitoring your traffic, and if you're not that tech savvy it might be hard to figure this out... It's not impossible tough, you can use wireshark to monitor your network and see if packages get send to tor nodes, but that's not something a newbie can easily do.

Before considering about Tor, you must consider other important things.

- Non custodial or not.
- Open source or not.
- Good wallet history / reviews or not.

Check wallet reproducibility / source with

It will just create false sense of security since somehow people can still see the transactions you have made. Also I'm not comfortable to connect my wallet on any platforms knowing there are so many scams in internet.

I'd rather choose not to connect it and will not care much about those things since I believe that we will be more safe if we are not curious on everything.

If you also mean about those privacy focused wallets which is created by TOR project then yes they are non profit organization behind the TOR network.

If you own Terzor hardware wallet than you can enable Tor in Trezor Suite app.
For software wallets I know that Cake wallet has Tor integration, and Stack wallet also has something similar.
Cake and Stack wallets are multicoin wallets, but you can also use them as bitcoin-only wallets.
