Some work don't require your full attention, well all job does but some time you get a little rest before you resume your job activity. At that time of your rest you are free to play gamble the way you want but ones you are back to your job activity you need to stop every other thing you are doing that doesn't have anything to do with your job. Without your job it will be hard to raise money to gamble, that is why you must protect it till you fine a better one. Working and gambling at the same time will really mess you up because you might even be sacked if you over gamble during work hours.

I think it depends on each individual. If someone can manage their time well for gambling, they will be able to gamble during breaks from work, and it won't disrupt their concentration. For others, gambling around work hours is difficult, even during breaks. Personally, I find it difficult to gamble around work hours because it disrupts my concentration. So, I prefer to gamble during my free time, and I usually gamble on the weekends. Well, whenever we gamble, it should be better to do it wisely, so it won't cause problems for you. Basically, only you know when the right time is for you to gamble well. Therefore, try to do it at a time that suits you.

I have never gamble while working that's the last thing I will do, I can't joke with my job to that extent if you get sacked from the Job do you think you can solely depend on gambling and survive?, you can't survive because there's no guarantee that you will win so instead of gambling while working I let it slide for that day than make silly mistakes in the process of working and gambling.

You can't assume you are multitasking while gambling in a work place, you will make mistakes instead what I do is to ask a friend to book games for me and play it. A friend of mine was caught while gambling in the office and was immediately sacked so since then I told myself I can't take such risk instead I won't gamble at all for that day since I'm in the office. Anyone gambling at his work place is not competent and is putting his job at risk, so it's not something one should do.

Honestly, I have never done that because I am aware of the negative effects it can carry to one's productivity. There are been people who have been fired for less than that, I am sure my bosses would kick me out my position of they found me gambling while working.

Yes, there are people who are capable of keeping their attention on two things at the same time, but it is rather a minority, and honestly Bosses would not care in the slightest and still kick those people out their position if they find some of their employees gambling during their work time.

If you gamble during work, it means you are not professional in the work you do, this is not a good thing in the professional world of work and also violates work discipline, it is best to just focus on work during work time and not do other activities that are not urgent, why can't you gamble during work time because it really interferes with your work, even though you are gambling to fill your free time or calm your mind or look for momentary entertainment, it is still wrong behavior and not good behavior when we are working.

Gambling is supposed to be done during someone's leisure time and not when they are still on duty. If someone is gambling when they are supposed to be doing something else, it not only shows how undisciplined they are, but they are also indirectly saying they are on the fast lane into getting addicted, and when they have a bad gambling day, it affects the rest of their day at work, and things they are supposed to do get affected, which is using their own selfish interest to reduce the productivity of someone else's company.

Work as best you can and use time management for productivity and enjoyment in life. These are two different things. Then there are two different types of gambling, the one that require strong mind and other that gives relaxation; even though both are entertainment. There are games where your mind takes a rest. That is also an important factor when comes to gambling and multitasking. If one is in a position of power in which one is expected to take important choices which could affect the livelihood of other people, when it would be better to completely avoid gambling while at work.
Losing hundreds or thousands of dollars in a single session can trigger very negative and damaging psychologicsl feelings, which lad lead to bad decision making and even self-destructive behavior.

I agree with you, gambling during work hours we definitely distract your attention from what you are suppose to do and if you have team you are working with it will definitely make you to be behind and sometimes your colleagues can have an issue with you due to how you will be behaving ( divided attention). And then again you trying to settle or predict or gamble so fast and meet up with your work or your team, you can possibly loss your money and this can cause depression even while you are at your work place if the money lost is huge.

It is a bad idea to combine work and gambling, it is okay if you gamble and do other activities that aren't work related like chores, drinking and all that but working is going to give you a good experience. Gambling takes a lot of attention and working while on it simultaneously. can make you take reckless decisions.

When I am busy with my studies, I have to do research on my studies, but if I gamble during my studies, then my attention will definitely be lost on my studies. Those of us who try to gamble before completing any other work, we can never expect anything good from that work. The time i tried something similar was when i was trying to shop and wanted to place bet at the same spot because the time for the game to kick off was already very very close, i actually lost the game and also picked items more than my budget, it was at the pay point i discovered. it is actually not easy to multitask in such manner but you can if you are used to doing such and have the ability to do it without making a mistake.

The focus is being sacrificed if you are multi-tasking. Hence, if you are on that scenario, expect some shortcomings from your end. And that means, you can lose some with what you are doing. Because like it or not, you may missed something if you are doing several tasks and your vault is at stake here.
Much better if the stake is quite significant, then, allocate some of your time to really weigh your options because there are so many betting lines that you can place and have an advantage of. Because if you will just place bet just because you need to as you are running out of time, it means, you haven't really put some effort to think about your bet. It is only addiction that will make you to gamble while working because even though we have two hands, two legs and two eyes that should not make us forget the fact that everything land on one brian which every humans has, so the possibility of me gambling while working is not guarantee at that point in time, so is either i pause the work I'm doing and focus on the hours i should spend while gambling or i will be patient enough to wait until when I'm done with the work because gambling involves staking with money which i don't need to be in a hurry while gambling to avoid lossing so much or mistake, it is not good to have two master at the same time.

I guess that is not an addiction for whatever random biased reasons, right?  The fact is average humans are average humans, they are addicted to all sorts of things -- most are addicted to things that they don't want to admit. Gambling is one of those things that many jump on to call others out, because they are in denial about their own addictions relating to digital devices, the internet and consumption of material goods and content. You make yourself feel better by putting down the other person, when in reality you are possibly even worse than them -- that is what average people do. In reality, gambling is not much worse than social media in terms of addictiveness and the negative impacts on the brain. Most of those apps are designed to resemble slot machines as closely as possible.

I have tried doing it at the same time, and it really distracted my focus. I rarely gamble while working, but I often play right after finishing my task, still during my working hours. The problem is, when I lose it's hard to think clearly and it affects my emotions. Because of that, the gambling becomes uncontrollable and getting work done feels even harder.

I would never recommend gambling on the job, but it really depends on the capabilities of the person and the type of job. Some require a lot more focus, in others you could easily do another task simultaneously.

I have never experienced gambling while I was working but I did gamble when I was on office but I did it during a break. I do gamble while doing a task as part of my job at home but it does not affect my mood because I can control my focus and my mood. What I usually do is that I do not watch the game I play when I play it while working, or in other word is that I listened to the music of the game only while I was doing other things in my laptop. Play the game automatically (usually slots) then focus on what I do (work), check the game few times only until the automatic spins stopped.

Doing both can certainly affect your productivity for not being able to focus. We need to manage our time for leisure, and our time for serious matter since it requires time and attention. I have not experience it yet even before that I became addicted too in gambling. The problem to me is I spent my salary in gambling and not thinking of what really matters resulting to conflict with my family. But that was before, now I'm aware how to limit myself especially when I gamble.

I know that women can multitask by doing different things at the same time and getting results, I think they are wired that way but for most of us men we like to focus on one task and try to get it done right without distractions. So I think multitasking is not really for us men, it's not easy for us to give total focus on two tasks at the same time, it's mostly that we get one right then have chalanges in the other or mess both of them up.

I don't recommend gambling and doing your job that requires your concentration because gambling likewise requires your concentration, you should focus on getting your job done first because it is your sure source of income. Gambling should be done at free times when you're not doing anything serious that will distract you, it's not a job that gives you sure income. If you are gambling and something very important comes up you should suspend the gambling and attend to the important task.

You are right in saying that flexible breaks are a good idea, and this can be done by anyone who likes to gamble, but I don't recommend it for those who are easily emotional. However, for those who can control themselves well, it doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Not sure it was really that a big business problem to handle for you otherwise you wouldn't have had the leisure to even think of gambling how much more having to gamble in between while you're tackling to resolve your business problems.

I haven't had such experience because I always create boundaries between when to gamble and when it feels none required to, especially when I am in the middle of a serious office and financial function on my desk. What I can say to you OP, you shouldn't repeat it again before it becomes a part of your gambling culture, which could really spoils a lot of important things for you.
