Do You Also Gamble While Working? I Tried It and It Messed Up My Focus

I do gambling while I'm working, so far so good without affecting what I'm doing.
What I need to have in my mind before gambling while working is that I do it to have relaxation while doing my work so I should accept any result.
Or in better way I wont spend too much in gambling so it wont affect myself while I'm doing my work if I lose the whole balance.

If you keep thinking about gambling even while you're working, I'm sorry to say, there's a problem there. When I work, I don't really think about it, I think about it in the moments when I'm bored and it would be fun in those moments when I'm waiting, when I'm in line, to be with my friends and have fun, but this applies to anything, not just gambling.

But then, when it comes to jobs that require focus, there is no way gambling and doing such job will not reduce productivity significantly, it can even lead to mistakes that could be dangerous, this is why I honestly don't support the idea of gambling while working, there is time for every thing and we ought to respect our work time and only gamble during our free time, doing this will not only help us enjoy gambling the more, it also will help us manage the fund we are using to gamble much better.

No, if you have to stay focused, you can't gamble. It doesn't make sense. The game is just to pass the time. If you're working, you're working. You can't spend time while working. Something that maybe you do during your lunch break and okay, that's fine, but doing it while you work, I absolutely disagree, it means that you have some addiction problem.

I literally just explained above you that this is not necessarily the case. While it may have a higher correlation with addiction, it does not mean necessarily that the user is addicted if they are doing this. Most people have a deep need to consume thing, they are unable to not do anything at all. This is why the engage in weird, fringe, or wrong behaviors all the time instead of just chilling in peace. Depending on the job, people may be doing all sorts of side activities to pass the time.

It is not impossible, don't make claims about things that you are not familiar with. There are work places where they literally do not care at all what you do as long as you get the work done, for the rest of the time you might as well sleep during work hours and they would not care at all. Well, it depends on the type of places where the person is working; they could see some opportunities to gamble with free time unless it's not against the company's rules. If not, trying to do other activities like gambling will really put things in a bad situation. The person should think about their work; if a superior catches them doing that, what will be the reaction? That feeling alone should be able to quench the appetite to gamble as long as the work is what's paying the bills.

Sounds cool to hear that we can multitask on some things, but actually I agree with you that our productivity and focus will provably reduce. Since if we are working we provably need full attention on the task we are currently doing, we might messed up if we mixed it up with gambling and result if the our boss find out that we are doing something illegal to do while working we might get fired then became jobless.

So we better focus to became more productive and just play gambling later when  working time ends then also we are at home then nothing else to do.

It is a general experience i think, the mood thing is especially why gambling is just for entertainment because the way it controls emotions if you then see it as a place to get more money there is a good chance things will not end well. In fact what you did could be the equivalent of someone taking alcohol and then trying to do work, you just cant, although i know some persons personally who can function good even while intoxicated but still this is just a good example for anyone who will come across your post, learn not to mix pleasure with business, i mean well unless you can handle it, lol

Sorry, how do you mean if someone stay focused they can not gamble? Gambling demands focus and concentration even though the winning may not be certain but you need to know and understand why you are making some selection in your bet, I have seen people who randomly made selection and they won luckily but that doesn't mean we should do that. Though sometimes like the dude said, the nature of the work we are doing matters sometimes if we can gamble while working or not and any kind of gambling can be somehow cool but slot no!.

The mood drop OP experienced was likely the outcome for combining gambling with real time job/service.
a lost game is a bad news, so imagine getting series of bad news at work.
If you had 7 open bets and lost all seven of them, that's enough to affect your mood and your productivity at work. If you also went ahead to risk more than you can afford on those bets, you can imagine how negatively it will affect your psychology.

The example given aligns with just that. Not allowing it could be agreed with since they believe it's easier to control their reaction when gambling than what it will take to easily lose control when they are tipsy as a result of too much intake of alcoholic substances, but be that as it may, unless there is free time in your workplace, it's never really advisable to engage in any of them while working, as the risk of your mood changing is very high, and it might affect the rest of your day in your workplace. It's an undeniable possibility.
