If we use bitcoin for its original purpose and true to its philosophy, we will actually reduce our dependence and control from the government. But honestly, I wonder how many of us are using it for its original purpose? How many people really care about privacy and freedom? Or what we really want is to become rich as quickly as possible, and we're just using bitcoin as a tool to achieve that goal?

Many people stop depositing money in banks not because they fear losing control of their money, but simply because they believe investing in bitcoin will bring better returns. This is the truth but many people do not dare to admit it.


In my observation, we all only care about profit and that is the main goal, freedom and privacy are secondary, even just an excuse. We really don't need those things as we say every day.

I just want to say, I’m really thankful that Bitcoin was invented. Without it, we’d still be fully under government control, every transaction tracked, every move monitored, and every rule forced on us even when it’s unfair.

Bitcoin gave us something that banks and politicians can’t easily touch, and that is financial freedom. You can send money across borders without asking permission, protect your savings from inflation, and support causes even when governments try to silence them.

Look at what’s happening in countries with abusive governments... people in places like Venezuela, Nigeria, and Argentina use Bitcoin to survive hyperinflation and avoid frozen bank accounts. Even activists and journalists in countries with censorship rely on Bitcoin to receive support safely.

For me, Bitcoin is more than just investment or profit. It’s proof that no matter how powerful governments become, people will always find a way to take back control.

Earlier, one could not find any alternative to keep the value of his assets, now Bitcoin is working as a good alternative.

Aren't gold, bluechip stocks or real estate assets that store value and hedge against inflation? Maybe only you don't know them, but that doesn't mean other people don't either. Many people have been using them to protect their assets for decades.

Bitcoin is now working as a symbol of trust to protect against political instability or revenge.

How can Bitcoin protect us from political instability when it itself gets dumped every time geopolitics gets tense?

No one can steal someone's assets if they keep their assets in Bitcoin. People have been under the control of the government for a long time, but now they can be completely free. Bitcoin is not only giving people financial freedom, it is also helping people preserve wealth and give the opportunity to create permanent assets.

No one can access and steal your bitcoins because you are the only one holding the seed phrase. But it doesn't give you complete freedom and escape from government surveillance. You or any bitcoin investor is still under close government scrutiny.

Would you give up your bank account, your citizenship and live solely on bitcoin? How can you say that you are completely free and free from the government?

1. Use centralised exchange instead of dexs and P2P.
2. Still keep their Bitcoin on top cex like Coinbase, they trusted Cex more.

The reason said in the first post is why we need bitcoin than the investment part. People are free to use their bitcoin as how they want but if we  just let the control to turn bitcoin into another centralized and controlled asset then we might be sliding away from the initial cost.

Now many people are using bitcoin on other chains which are centralized and not same bitcoin, people are using exchanges to keep their wallets and whenever they see the market dump they just rush into selling them.

I considering the Bitcoin as one of the life changer in my part because before it gives me additional cost to make send to other people regards with the payment more likely if they are into other countries which the cost here is quite near to the value I want to transact and at the same time its secured if you have your wallet you have your funds. Also I dont need to store most of my funds to the bank that has a low APY instead make an investment with the crypto or lets say bitcoin and wait for taking profit, has a higher chance to goes up with the price but of course there's a risk management if the market gets down.

Indeed has been helpful all the way.Just as many people keep saying that it's worth more than an investment tool,the government can manipulate public funds meant for the masses but that can't be Bitcoin.Indeed, it's obvious that we're prioritizing our freedom financially as bitcoiners,back then in my country when the restriction of Bitcoin was still tough,the only way the government could get on us was by imposing high taxes on centralized exchanges and most exchanges then started delisting our traditional currency from their p2p list but currently the whole saga has lessen because their fight wasn't making any effort.Even after all the restrictions from the government my country was still on list of the top countries promoting the adoption rate of Bitcoin.

This your reply sound like shading someone. What do you mean he will be nobody. There are people that are not into Bitcoin as investment and I'm not sure if some us with Bitcoin are half close to what they have achieved in real sense. Bitcoin isn't about competition, Bitcoin is freedom because you don't get that elsewhere, you can have the fiat you have dream of but it doesn't comes with freedom of how to spend it, when to spend it and how to leave with it.

There is no any investment like Bitcoin that's censorship resistance, no any of them come close, this is why government is doing everything to be in control by making everyone to do KYC, make them trace all the transactions as possible so they can be in control where your money follows anytime you sell your Bitcoin. They are trying to bring the same censorship to the bridge where you convert your fiat to Bitcoin and Bitcoin to fiat, the choice is yous to use them or not.

I believe it’s understandable why we are actually using bitcoin as an investment tool rather than as a currency. Because where there are opportunities for profits, that’s where people will chase, so the idea of having bitcoin to gain financial freedom is only an alternative, people still prioritize using bitcoin for their own greed purposes.

However, if global adoption will be then possible in the next couple of years, bitcoin as a currency will also be visible then, but right now, the priority is still to maximize bitcoin’s potential profits while its highly possible.

Democracy is a scam; it's supposed to be a system of government where the elected are supposed to serve the citizens and make sure everything is based on their interests, but now the government tells the citizens how they want them to live their lives. Bitcoin has been adopted globally, not many countries ban it anymore. But the problem is that most countries are legalizing and adopting it as a form of investment, and people are just focusing on exploiting the investment aspect of it. No one wants to use bitcoin to spend, use it as a payment method, or even convert it to fiat when the profit target is reached. How can it become a currency of the future?

Well that's true, no amount of financial freedom can be compared with that of bitcoin, it's really a saviour, therefore we should be forever grateful to bitcoin creator, if not we don't know how life would have been for many of us with our governments wanting to embezzle all the countries wealth through corruption .

I've had discussions about Bitcoin with people who are in charge of the government because they were my lecturers in the university. To be honest, I feel like they were brainwashed about Bitcoin and thought that it was only used for illegal transactions and etc. It's still quite hard to tell whether they were brainwashed or they knew exactly what they were talking for their own benefit but I feel like they were brainwashed. Btw they also admit that they didn't care too much about regulating Bitcoin in my country because it would be an extra headache for them.
