I could have gambling on them, I mean I could have love to place some bet but I have already reached max expense of gambling for the week, although after this week then I may map out funds to continue gambling. You know as a responsible gambler it's always good to set limits to gamble and not gambling out of allocated funds to gamble. Gambling is fun and of course some people often take loan to gamble when they don't have any funds available for them, so if there were to be available fund then I wouldn't be that hesitant to place bet on few countries here.

I usually see and place bet from time to time in international friendly matches but not all the time. Though I do follow Japan for quite some time now and based on the adds against Paraguay I'm pretty sure Japan would take over considering that Paraguay doesn't score at least 1 on their 5 previous matches. The 1.70 odds for me for 1x2 is pretty low, I'll probably do a custom bet/combo bet and add a total score of under 2.5 though since it's not an official league for me the players were sometimes experimenting or doing things to improve their strategy resulting in unpredictable results, that's why I'm keeping my bet at a minimum.

I'm totally surprised to see Brazil humiliated South Korea at South Korea's home. I mean, take a look with their history, Brazil are inconsistent, sometime they win, sometime draw and sometime lose. While South Korea are more consistent, they rarely lose.

But, in this match it goes opposite, South Korea really can't do anything.

Rodrygo play as an attacking midfield in this match and all the forwards perform well.

I'm not surprised at all. I guess Carlo Ancelotti has been holding on to this particular tactics the entire time the players were away, busy representing their clubs across Europe and other regions. South Korea are actually one of the best, if not the best as far as Asian football is concerned. But playing against one of the top sides in South America, with so many stars, was certainly going to be a tough one for them.

Brazil will meet another Asian side(Japan) next, while South Korea will face another South America side (Paraguay). Seems their plan is to play each during this international break.

There's indeed a reason why they were given such odd against south Korea. Even though south Korea are also formidable and they have home advantage they are were still no match for Brazil. The game was not really interesting to watch because it south Korea didn't make that game challenging at all, losing 5 nil is quite embarrassing. This was a good win for Brazil they seem to be in a good form

Well you have a very different perception of Brazil away from me because firstly, after reading throught the thread first thing that came into my mind was, Brazil was going to win regardless of the home. I knew Brazil as a very strong football based country and they have much of skilleb players so wining South Korea is not something that hits as a surprise to me.

Perhaps OP, its weekend people will be home watching so definitely most of us will be watching and not just watching we will be placing some bets too.

Sometimes these friendly matches are difficult to predict because they are only for fun or charity so no one takes them seriously, and the odds may change or be different from usual.

I forgot I had rdluffy and his LatAm threads going on, but friendlies, no, I have to put my foot down when it comes to casual watching haha. I mean, I even detest Nations League, so much so I might even dislike friendlies more than before.

That said, show me a friendly with some weird 20/1 underdog that is normally 5/1 on a competitive match and you just might find me throwing a few coins at it

I was expecting them to win but since it was in their home country I was expecting a easier result. I think this was a bit too much for a friendly match, but who knows maybe 5-0 was Brazil holding out on them because it was a friendly game. 

If I have time, I might make time to watch this friendly match --- because it's a little less interesting.

I think it can be nice if you have some time to kill and need to rest. It is more relaxing to watch these games because the stakes are low and since we are more likely not to be betting on them anyway we don't really care who wins. It is entertaining to see what happens and even more so if something very unexpected happens.

There is no point of comparison. Brazil is on the most difficult continent in terms of World Cup qualifiers or national club events. It is incomparable with South Korea. On paper, it may seem that South Korea is more consistent, but it is who they are measured against that gives you that illusion. On the other hand, Brazil is always measuring itself against strong teams, which makes its history a more or less irregular path.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting this game to turn out this way, south Korea didn't make an attempt to score, brazil dominated the game all through even though they haven't really been in their best form...rodrygo, vinicus  and estevao really did well, their performance today made it possible for brazil to win south Korea proudly on their home ground...I hope that they will keep on improving in performance

For me I expected more goals in the match but I was sure that Brazil was going to win the match and I expected them to make more than 5 goals in the end, let say they score 7 goals and the South Korean team  make like 1 goal records, so that their will at least have one goal record in the match.

Great topic, @rdluffy. A lot of people (myself included) are kind of out of touch with the schedule for friendly matches, and those games can offer some good opportunities to bet and make some money. One match I’m keeping an eye on is Argentina versus Venezuela.

Even though there are some interesting matches there, to be honest I would avoid betting on any of the matches here.

It's not without reason, but we all know that when it comes to friendly matches there's bound to be a lot of disappointment if we try to bet on them considering that we all understand that these friendly matches are just used as a testing ground.
In fact these national team friendly matches aren't much different from conference leagues or even preseason matches for some clubs as their purpose is simply to see how ready they are for competition.  And of course we know this situation is created to build chemistry for the biggest events especially for some clubs that are already preparing for the World Cup, which is getting closer and closer.

So I don't want to get my hopes up, let alone bet because I just want to relax and enjoy watching.

For example, Argentina fielded a full squad, but only scored one goal against Venezuela.
Some betting sites didn't even offer odds on over 1.5 goals, but the match ended 1-0.

Teams are more comfortable attacking in friendlies and focus more on scoring. I don't know if I'm wrong.

Friendly matches are indeed difficult to predict in terms of the score—or let's just say that Argentina is having trouble scoring many goals despite fielding a great squad.

But can you see South Korea vs Brazil scoring a lot of goals? There's nothing wrong with that, but the results are very different, right?

Perhaps the bookmakers already knew that Argentina would win, so they only offered odds of no more than 1.5.

This is a reason why I don't like betting on friendly games. Of course, everybody knew Brazil were the favourite, but South Korea should have at least gotten a goal. Friendly matches are always very unpredictable. Teams don't play like they play in competitive games. Brazil has not been conceding in their previous matches, but they've not been able to score a lot either. South Korea, on the other hand, do concede, but they mostly score, so I placed both teams to score on that game, but South Korea could get a goal.
I usually don't bet on friendly games, and I don't think I would be doing it again.

Bro, this is South Korea who ever beat Germany in 2018.

Everyone know Brazil is a popular country in football, but in this generation they only have the legacy, their squad aren't as strong as expected. They lost against Bolivia and Paraguay which is shame.

Chelsea new boy Willam Estevao is having a great week, after scoring the decisive goal for Chelsea against Liverpool he now netted 2 goals for Brazil against South Korea. Chelsea have a gem on their hand, the boy always look very dangerous when he have the ball on his feet.

I really enjoyed the game between Brazil and South Korean, the samba boys really dominated the game, scoring 5 goals. Estevao, Vinicius and rodrygo all were on the score sheet. I think if this 3 play more together they will cause problems in the World Cup.

I think In the coming World Cup Brazil will do great, they are looking very sharp, and always dominating most of the games they played so far.
