Has anyone experienced the same thing today when visiting this forum?
the past few hours I have been experiencing this problem over and over again. I have to refresh the page several times and then I can get to the page as usual.
This happens at random times. Not always, but it happens quite often.

What happened? is this only happening to me?

i didn't use VPN before or anything like that when accessing the forum.

Please let me know.

The screenshot you shared gave a possible reason. Basically, it says that you triggered the security system, which blocked you from accessing the forum.

This happened to me few hours ago and yesterday same time. I thought this is just an issue to my ISP since some user on our local board doesn’t encounter this same problem.

I can browse the forum but this error arise when I want to reply on someone post.

Right now everything is back to normal to me. Forum becomes slower sometimes too.

I did not experience it today, but it has happened to me before. Probably Cloudflare is the culprit here, but this shouldn't worry you so much since it's mostly temporary. I think, as far as I recall, so members have reported such incidents in this board before.

About the forum loading speed, yes it sometimes happens but not so alarming.

I think this is a security measure that has been in place to counter any attempt against the forum as we know more better on how some could try do some funny stuffs, if you are not trying to do what is wrong, then never mind, you may only try to use another browser and reattempt login again, what i only experienced few days when submitting a post, i will have to reconfirm my submission after receiving an error response, but never says am being blocked, just be patience and try out another browser lets see what comes up next.

I have been browsing the forum freely since I logged in today and I have not experienced this problem, but this problem is a common norm that most users always experience every once in a while, and the problem is sometimes caused by the browser you are using, I have experienced this problem twice or more when using chrome browser, but if I change my browser to the Tor browser, the forum will open. So, sometimes, the cloud flare blocks your IP when you want to login but if you try to log in with VPN, you will notice that it's going to workwork, it worked for me.

Try to isolate what triggers it, and PM theymos about it:

Next time it happens, click the back button, copy exactly what you were trying to post, put it on pastebin, and send me the link.

Whenever this happens, feel free to obfuscate the post in order to bypass Cloudflare's blocking until I'm able to fix it permanently. Cloudflare isn't smart enough to notice this, and you certainly won't be banned for it.

This has been happening to me for over 2 days and I think it is browser related. I access them forum through opera mini, I had to uninstall the opera mini and got a new one, thinking it's where the problem lied. But to my greatest surprise it passisted. I tried with chrome and everything was fine. So, I had to use chrome for sometimes but later switched to opera due to my personalized browsing experience.

I think this happens for opera mini, try another browser subsequently and all will just be fine.

It happened to be a very few times but not in the past few days and it happened while navigating the pages, not just when hitting the post so it can't be something related to some kind of word filter.

If it happens I will switch networks or even a simple refresh resolved it.

This mostly happens to me when I try to click on my own profile, and last night I tried another user's profile and the same thing happened. I tried again and again, and the same thing happened again.

However, it seems this also has something to do with the browser I'm using. I use Chrome and sometimes Brave. This happened when I was using Chrome. However, after I cleared the cache, cookies, and everything, it hasn't happened again.

But maybe I'll let you know if this happens again.

However, if anyone else experiences the same thing, try clearing your browser. While I don't know what the connection is, it worked for me. The occasional slow loading of forum pages might also be resolved. I now find it smoother when opening this forum.

It sounds like your browser (or a plugin) creates some code Cloudflare doesn't like. I must say I hate Cloudflare with a passion, I see their "waiting screen" many times per day, and when I don't see them, they're still spying. As theymos wrote:

I have Chrome on mobile because Google knows everything about my phone already anyway, but on my desktop, I don't even have it installed. May I suggest switching to Firefox (with uBlock)? Not only for this problem, it's generally better for privacy and (from what I've read) less hungry on RAM.

I just found out about this. Maybe if I knew earlier about this then I would also try to use firefox. And maybe later I will try to install it and start using firefox.

I use Brave on my phone. And chrome on my desktop. I forgot not to check it on brave. because I rarely open the forum through my phone nowadays. I cleaned my Chrome before, besides chace, cookies and all my browser history, even I also deleted some extensions that I haven't used for a long time. So I don't know which one actually made all this run smoothly again. Or it doesn't even have anything to do with what I did. But it looks like I'm going to change my browser on my desktop now.

But what is certain is that as of now everything is back to normal.

Not recently nooo! I haven't encountered this particular error! But yes I have received such errors a couple of times in the past! And it didn't last long for me! Maybe like gave a short break, a couple of minutes and it disappears on it's own.

What I have faced recently was the captcha loop. For some reasons I kept failing, it was like an endless loop. Later it gave me an error which I have never faced my entire life! It straight out said try again later! I absolutely have no idea what automated queries it was referring to. Nothing was downloading in the background and I just turned on my pc and faced with this.

If it was something specific you were doing (like trying to post something) PM Theymos your ray id from cloudflare and he might be able to work out what it was.

I'm surprised people don't wipe their cookies, cache and browsing history by default. I hop sites too often that it slows down my browser tremendously when I don't.

I haven't experienced such nit what does it men? What if is the browser those who are affected is the cause...just saying because we have to consider all factors since it only happens to some members in the forum.

This has happened to me multiple times but I didn't take a screenshot instead I turned my internet connection off and back on again cleaned my browser and tried logging in again. Some times I was able to log in but when I clicked on the profile again it showed me blocked again. Sometimes we can't log in to BitcoinTalk site due to maintenance reasons. Blocking is completely different from maintenance. This happened to me multiple times in one day but now I am not facing such problem again, if the same problem repeats in my case then I will definitely share it here.

I've actually faced the same problem a few times, so you're not alone. As far as I know this is usually caused by a forum server load or caching issue. Another possibility is that your browser cache or cookies are temporarily holding old data. You can try clearing your browser cache or opening the forum in incognito mode to see if the problem persists. Another thing I think is to enable the "Use SSL" option if it's not enabled. Sometimes there are load issues during HTTP to HTTPS transitions as well. However in my case, this issue was fixed very quickly. That is, after about 10-15 minutes.

I also faced this captcha problem. But the problem I had was that I used an extension. Which was Captcha Buster. So after turning off that extension, I no longer have this captcha problem. But I think another reason may the ad blocker. If you are using an ad block extension, then this capture problem may occur.

I have experienced this error message twice and what I do is to clear my catche and everything works back to normal. I don't know about you. Maybe you could try that and see if it would be okay. Sometimes it might be CloudFlare issues sometimes it might be poor network coverage and sometimes it could be that maintenance or upgrade is likely going on at that moment.

I've never had the problem described by the OP and some other members. Considering that I've been using Tor for a long time, I can say that it's definitely a browser that everyone should use, especially those who care about protecting what little privacy we still have left.

For those who say that Tor is slow and that they have problems logging in because of captcha, I can say that this is not true if you have a fairly good internet speed, and as for captcha, you simply need to use the option in the login window and save your login link without captcha.

Regarding RAM consumption, my personal experience is that with two browsers at the same time, AV+firewall and some other security software, my RAM consumption is around 35%. By the way, a long time ago we discussed RAM and you advised me to add more than the 8 GB I had at the time. I've had 20 GB for a while now and the difference is definitely noticeable.
