Where you lucky enough to catch up the market at $102k

When I woke up today I found out that the market dip $102k, according to notification I received from my Binance app and Bybit exchange. I was propelled to asked to know how many of you who were lucky to catch the market at the price range of $102k, from my observation the market didn't took long time to bounce back to $111k judging from the chats.



After which it drops below 107k and bounces back again to 111k, I think from here I senses fear on newer investors who doesn't have thorough knowledge about their investment and the movement of bitcoin, before the buying pressure sustained the price within $112k, I believe before the next 72hrs we could likely see the price gain back its position again knowing too well that Uptober has never been a downtober.

Yes that is true, this is something that took people unware and it could be also hard for people to buy so faster since the dump was unexpected and I don't think people would have that feeling or thinking to just delved into accumulation seeing that the price dumped so hard was something heart touching and couldn't expect to accumulate, I think they could on a shocked on what happened, and for sure for the past years I have join this space it's my first time of seeing the price dumping like this ever.

I didn't witness the price fall, i was only told about the sudden dump and recovery after being on a journey all day. This is the biggest dump in the market, with biggest liquidation. It was a crazy price drop yesterday, both the fall and recovery was unpredicted, traders took a big loss from the market.

In the face of sudden collapse, I believe that a few large sized investors took the opportunity of buying at the low, it would be a good swing from $104K up to $114k under less than 4 hours.

Eth and link fell to much lower levels than BTC did which looked very interesting... Imagine doing 4x in the space of a few hours (someone might've done that - a lot did the opposite though too).

I'm glad it was all a wick though and not a trend... Would've been more annoying if it wicked down to 20-75% of its price and then just stayed there..

Traders which will consider their self to be lucky is those who will be fast enough to save their trade from liquidating, I woke this morning to a news of more 1.5 million traders getting liquidated which could be as a result of this massive unexpected price swing in the middle of the night, don't know if the record is correct but it was reported that more than $19b traders asset was liquidated, exchanges/brokers are more on the advantage on this fall.

The best way to buy at this range of $102,000 is probably on those we already set the buying order for it, because its a quick and once chance opportunity that came in as a shock, we should not be surprised at seeing the market rising the following week again, and it may be that the following week, we experience a market fall or it rises gradually back to make the correction, i only pity on those trading because i learnt about the amount liquidated from the crypto market to be far fetch only just that yesterday.

Looking at the chart on live... I believe that if you wait to place your order when the price reaches "$100,000," you will be left out. So, are those orders still waiting to be executed, or are they pending?   

I guess the real question is: How much did you actually buy? Or, perhaps, did you not even set the buy order for the $1 million level?

I believe before the next 72hrs we could likely see the price gain back its position again knowing too well that Uptober has never been a downtober.

The price drop that occurred was indeed quite surprising. Because after Bitcoin reached a new ATH this month, many were optimistic that market movement would continue to rise. But what happened instead was a sudden shock. It seems many traders are beginning to worry.

We can see that after Bitcoin returned to the $110k price range, it has been moving sideways today. It is not yet certain whether it will be strong enough to start the next pump; we may need to observe the market situation for the next few days.

I guess the catch up you mean reffed to traders being able to buy low at $102k and sell high? But I think the people that it will be more profitable to, will be the investors because they will make more profit in the lung run. Let's emagine buying at the bottom of $102k and selling when Bitcoin may have hit $400k and above, of course that will be 4x from when you bought it low. Except for the short time traders who doesn't care about the future price of Bitcoin but decided to sell with just a little  profit. Yesterday was one of the best time for investors to buy the dip, but nevertheless dip never end. Although i didn't notice it early yesterday, I just saw my exchange notification where Bitcoin fell gradually from something like 122k down to $104k or so, and later rise again to $122k or so. I was surprised seeing Bitcoin drop this low. Bitcoin may have experience the blood bath for long but no one expected it this October, but I believe Bitcoin will bounce back in full sooner than we think.

One really need to be staring at the market to cash up with that airdrop price, a lot of traders were not expecting such a discount price and this took a lot of us unaware which is why the amount of money that was wiped out of the crypto market within the last 24 hours is somewhat a big amount that it will definitely take time to recover.

It's not the first to be witnessed since 2024 through this year. This kind of market sweeping (selloff) happened last year during the month of August, price of Bitcoin has gotten to $73k+ as at March 2024 but unexpectedly experienced a deep fall in August that took the price down to $49k, wiping out $360+ billions. Same thing happened this year too, after the dip on August last year, price started surging again till it got to $110k by January of this year but by the month of April 2025, it dip to $75k which it had not reached since August last year. That dip liquidated about $1.3+ billion from the market too, you can see below.

This one that just happened yesterday (Friday) is not new, it also liquidated about $19 billion.

Moreover I can understand that for the large mass of the trader, this was was something unexpected.

Very unexpected I'd say too. Most traders will really be in a deep pain now but that's part of the business, the market can be unpredictable most times and that has been my fear of being a trader. I don't think I can handle this.

I have seen worse Bitcoin price dumps before. The one that happened in the past day or so was just an easy one compared to what for example happened during the LUNA/FTX saga or the pre-COVID19 lock down sell off.
I think people had taken so long to see Bitcoin price get volatile in the recent months, thus the surprise. I believe Bitcoin might continue to drop below the 100K in the next few days and maybe rise back later.

Lucky are those who came to witness a sudden price fall, as it can be a good opportunity to buy while the price turns cheaper. But this could bring confusion somehow to the newbies out there as they won’t expect for bitcoin to easily fall despite how bullish it is at the moment. Knowledge is the best weapon, if you don’t know how the market moves and how a coin performs in the market, you will always be left behind.

It pays to monitor market often if you are sighting an opportunity to buy, but if you are just focus on long-term hodling without plans to buy yet, this current price movement will never bother you at all.

I’m wondering if anyone had an insider information of the action what was about to take place that could lead to market crash and then made profit from the crash because what left the market was really too much. I was not opportune to buy but I was able to maintain my stand with the little I have and all my fears came in at once.

trying to catch every low of the markets is like trying to catch a falling knife 🔪 you know what if you are a hodler stick to DCA as this will cause less heartaches.. The order book is always filled up with orders at different prices so yes, in case of such price drops, the bid orders within the price range get filled up and that is what the candle indicates in the chart. It is very rare for it just be a visual bug.

It is not just one of the most impressive fall in history of cryptocurrency but it certainly the most remarkable price change that has ever happened since bitcoin or cryptocurrency started, the liquidation recorded is actually calculated to be more than 20x anything which has ever happened before, so with this liquidation data we can assume that this is the biggest price fluctuation we have seen in the space

Now as for catching the low at $102k I think it will be very hard to actually see such person, in fact I am very much confident that the person that might have caught that low exactly might have used trading bot where the bot had a limit of the price already set, but for human hand to catch such trade I will argue that it didn’t happened yesterday due to the speed that the market used to get there and even back up, in fact most exchanges were even having issues where some people might be actually waiting for far more worse numbers that $102k, so I can say it was definitely hard to see anyone caught such exact price but people caught some lows though
