The Bitcoin core 30.0 has been released today, I saw it just minutes ago via Bitcoin magazine’s post  when I was scrolling in X.

Good news.  I just finished building it and upgraded my node.

I remember when I was installing v0.19.1 for the first time, trying this new Internet currency. Endless were my questions about what it is and how it works. And now we're at version 30.0. Time flies, guys.

Here are the facts:

- core can't or won't do anything about junk and arbitrary data
- core 30 is creating a new way to put junk on the network.

Now, they will try to lose you in all sorts of theories, technical jargon, and long winded posts. But that is what they are effectively doing - not doing anything about existing spam and junk, and implementing new ways for spammers to pollute the blockchain.
