I have tried wordle. It is an interesting and competitive game for people looking to burn some time foro the sake of fun. I have never seen a version in which one is able to get money in this manner, it sounds fun and the entry price is relatively low, so anyone can give it a try.
If you manage to realize a trial version or a free version for people to get familiarized with the game without having to pay to entry, I think it would be very beneficial for your game, after all, people feel more comfortable depositing money of they have already an idea on what to do and how to play the game, that is one of the reasons casinos have the option for their gamblers to play for fun, without having to stake actual money. Once gamblers believe they have a good idea on how the game works, they switch to the actual thing and start trying their luck with a few dollars, you should also attempt to do the same, it could increase the volume of attempts and the number of gamblers in your service.
Hey! Thanks for the feedback! 🙏
You're absolutely right about the trial version - that's actually the #1 request I've been getting. A practice mode would definitely help people understand the feedback system before depositing.
I'm working on adding a
Practice Mode right into the "How to Play" section where you can try a few rounds for free without any deposit. Should have this live within the next few hours. It'll work exactly like the real game, just with a randomly generated pattern on your browser - no money involved.
The entry price is intentionally kept low (500 sats = ~$0.25 USD) to make it easy for anyone to try, but I totally agree that letting people play a practice round first will increase confidence and adoption.
Really appreciate the suggestion - this is exactly the kind of feedback I need! 🎯
So this is similar to a Minesweeper too, but with this, the champion plants the bombs (3 bombs) and the challenger guesses which grid the champion places it, cool, easy, and looks fun.
You could also make it more interesting by placing a little lore behind the game, naming the 'secret 3-cell pattern' chips or sats, or even better, keys! The champion hides three keys, and the challenger guesses where the keys are to unlock the champion's wallet.

Love the creative thinking! 🔑
The "keys to unlock the Champion's wallet" angle is brilliant - it actually makes the game concept way more intuitive. Right now we call it "Guardian" instead of "Champion" to give it a bit of that protective/treasure theme, but the "hidden keys" terminology could work really well.
I'm going to experiment with adding some lore/story elements to make it more engaging. Maybe something like:
- Challenger: "You're a code-breaker trying to crack the cipher"
- Champion/Guardian: "You've encrypted your wallet with 3 hidden keys"
- Prize Pool: "The vault" or "The treasure"
The Minesweeper comparison is spot-on too - except here the "bombs" are actually the treasure you're looking for. The feedback system (knowing HOW MANY you got right) is what makes it solvable with logic rather than pure luck.
Thanks for making me think about this differently! May add some visual elements to reinforce the treasure/cipher theme 💰🔐
Thanks for share and nice idea. Everything new in gambling that involves btc it's a great advancement

It would be really great if we can have something like a specific game for bitcointalk user (something like "our league").
Also OP since this is a kind of new game/mechanism, it would be useful to have some graphic examples also in this topic.
Thanks! Really appreciate the support 🙏
BitcoinTalk League - That's a really cool idea! Like a separate leaderboard or even a dedicated game instance just for this community. I could see doing something like:
- "BitcoinTalk Champions Hall of Fame"
- Weekly top earners from BitcoinTalk members
- Maybe even special entry fees or prize multipliers for verified forum members
Let me think about the best way to implement this without creating fragmentation. Could be as simple as a special code or verification system.
Great suggestions! 🎯
I like the idea, it is really brilliant. The chance of getting the correct keys is 1 out of 3360. i love to try the game but as of now, No one is trying.
I am afraid if i will make a move and spend some satoshi and be the guardian but no one tries to take the throne?

Important clarification on your concern: Even if you become the Champion and NO ONE challenges you, you're still earning!
Here's how:
- Daily Prize Pool Payout: As Champion, you receive 1% of the prize pool EVERY DAY
- Current prize pool: 100,000 sats (seeded and ready)
- Your daily earnings as Champion: 1,000 sats/day minimum
- Plus: 450 sats for every failed challenge attempt
So if you become Champion today and literally no one tries for a week, you still earn
7,000 sats just from the daily payouts. It's not dependent on challenges at all!
About the odds: You mentioned 1 in 3,360 - that's if you're guessing completely blind. But here's the key:
the feedback system makes this a skill game, not luck. After each guess, you learn how many cells you got correct. This lets you use deduction:
- Guess 1: Learn which cells are possible
- Guess 2: Narrow it down significantly
- Guess 3-5: Most skilled players crack it by now
It's like Wordle or Mastermind - the odds of guessing correctly on the first try are terrible, but with the feedback system, smart players consistently solve it in 3-5 attempts (1,500-2,500 sats total).
Hope that makes sense! The Champion role is actually pretty lucrative even with zero activity 💰
Welcome
At deposit there is an Entry Fee, does that goes into balance or into pool or at you ? there is no info about this !
did u mean to say minimum deposit ?
There is a bug at How Evolution Works
Current Progress:
• Current Fee: $500.00
• Next Level: 100 challenges away
• Progress: 0.0%
While current fee is 500 sats not $500.00
Hey! Let me clarify the entry fee system:
Entry Fee Breakdown:When you pay 500 sats to challenge:
- 450 sats → Goes to the current Champion (their earnings)
- 37.5 sats → Goes to the Prize Pool (7.5%)
- 12.5 sats → Platform fee (2.5%)
So yes, the 500 sats is the "entry fee" to make one challenge attempt. It doesn't go into your balance - it's the cost to play. Think of it like:
- Deposit = Adding funds to your balance (Lightning Network)
- Entry Fee = Cost per challenge attempt (deducted from balance)
You deposit (say, 5,000 sats), then you can make 10 challenge attempts (500 sats each).
About the "$500.00" display: I actually don't see this bug on my end - everything shows in sats (satoshis) for me. Can you tell me:
- What page/section you're seeing this on?
- What browser you're using?
- Screenshot if possible?
I want to make sure there's no currency conversion bug happening for certain users. Everything should display in sats only!
Thanks for pointing this out! 🔍
Example:
Guess 1: A1, B2, C3 → "You got 1/3 correct"
Guess 2: A1, D4, C2 → "You got 2/3 correct"
Now you know A1 is definitely correct, and you can deduce the rest!
Well, A1 is not "definitely correct"... Pattern can be B2 or C3, D4, and C2. In that case, you would get 1 out of 3 correct in the first guess and 2 out of 3 in the second guess. So, A1 is most likely accurate, but it can lead you down a bad trail... I love these kinds of games, so...

From what I understand, when we solve a pattern, we don't actually earn anything... we just get the chance to set our own pattern (as champions) and then we start earning (450 sats) from the next player's failed attempts. So, just Champion is earning, and to earn new players must constantly join.
You're absolutely correct about the example - thank you for catching that! 🎯
I should have said "A1 is
most likely correct" or provided a third guess to demonstrate full deduction.
Better example:- Guess 1: A1, B2, C3 → 1/3 correct
- Guess 2: A1, D4, C2 → 2/3 correct
- Guess 3: D4, C2, B3 → 2/3 correct
Now you can deduce: D4 and C2 are definitely in the pattern (appeared together in guess 2 and 3 with 2/3). The third cell must be from the non-overlapping cells.
About earnings: You're partly right, but there's a key detail:
Challengers earn indirectly:- Crack the code → Become Champion
- As Champion: Earn 450 sats per failed challenge + 1% of prize pool daily
So yes, the direct earnings only come from being Champion, but:
- 1. Anyone can become Champion by cracking the code
- 2. Daily prize pool payouts mean you earn even if no one challenges
- 3. Prize pool grows forever (7.5% of every challenge)
Current prize pool is 100,000 sats, so Champions earn minimum 1,000 sats/day even with zero challenges.
You're right that new players need to join for the Champion to earn from challenges, but the daily prize pool payout ensures Champions always earn regardless of activity.
Great analysis - you clearly understand the game mechanics! Would love to see you try it 🧠
